efelicity:
I live with my mother, a single mother, since I lost my dad over a year ago and we haven't been having issues until recently
The problem with my mother is that she wants to remarry but I never wanted that because she planned to move in to the house my father built.

After a heated argument, she claimed the house as hers but I rejected! I didn't stop her from marrying any man but what I am against is moving the man into my father's house. More to that, she planned to open a business for her husband to be on my father's land. I know the consequence of allowing that to happen: he will later claim the land.

Since my mom met this man she stopped treating me like a son. One of her sisters told me that the man was disturbing my mom to send me out of the house so he can move in asap.

When I approached my mom with this, she cursed me because she believes I'm against her will.

How do I prevent this man from taking what belongs to me?
I'm not a legal expert, but I can offer some general suggestions to help you address this situation without involving a lawyer:

1. **Open Communication**: Try to have an open and honest conversation with your mother. Express your concerns calmly and respectfully. Let her know how much the house and land mean to you and why you're worried about the potential consequences.

2. **Mediation**: Consider involving a trusted family member or friend to mediate the discussion between you and your mother. Having a neutral third party can sometimes help in resolving conflicts.

3. **Document Your Concerns**: Keep a record of any conversations or actions that may be relevant to the situation. This documentation can be useful if you need to discuss this with your mother or others involved.

4. **Explore Compromise**: See if there is room for compromise. Maybe your mother can remarry, but you can discuss alternative living arrangements or business locations that don't involve your father's house and land.

5. **Seek Family Counseling**: If the situation remains tense, consider family counseling or therapy to help address the emotional aspects of this conflict and find solutions that work for everyone.

6. **Legal Consultation as a Last Resort**: If all else fails, and you genuinely believe your rights are at risk, you may need to consult a lawyer for advice on how to protect your interests. However, it's often best to explore less adversarial solutions first, especially when dealing with family matters.

that maintaining a respectful and understanding approach in your discussions can go a long way in resolving family conflicts.

Please is that how it's been done? I bought a land early 2018 and now I feel like selling out. The families who sold it to me said they are entitled for their own percentage from the money the buyer is offering. Please I need to know if that's how it's done. I only went to inform them I would be handling the piece of land to a new owner and thought kola nut and palm wine would be it, since they also sold to several people there and also have some available I thought I should let them know for future reference... instead they are asking how much I am selling and wants to know every details of it.

Meanwhile the deeds that's about to be prepared would be in my name and that of the buyer, what consigns the family?

I had to tell them that's not possible it's my own land I bought from them I am selling, he went further and said it's either they buy it back from with same amount I bought 2018 or I give them their percentage from the appreciating amount or I develop and let matter rest.

Please help
I'm not a legal expert, but I can offer some general information that might be relevant to your situation. When you buy land, the of the transaction should be clearly outlined in a legal contract, and it typically specifies whether any future sale proceeds should be shared with the family or previous landowners.

If the deed is in your name and the buyer's name, it suggests that you have full ownership of the land, but you should consult a legal professional to confirm this based on the specific details of your agreement and local laws. It's important to have a clear understanding of the legal documents and agreements related to the land.

If you feel unsure about your legal rights and responsibilities in this matter, it's advisable to seek legal advice from a qualified attorney who specializes in property and land transactions in your area. They can provide you with guidance on how to proceed and ensure that your interests are protected.

Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has disclosed plans by President Buhari to unleash and soak the nation in blood. He stated these through a tweet.

“Buhari is set to unleash his army and terrorist Fulani sleeper cells all over the south and Middle Belt if he does not get his way. He wishes to inflict carnage in Nigeria and soak the nation in blood rather than leave power. Mark it: this fire he is kindling will consumme him.”

In another tweet the former minister, denied tweeting, Atiku’s candidature is the biggest blunder of PDP. ZR recalled reporting his tweet, where he stated Atiku is the biggest blunder of PDP. A check on his twitter page shows that the former minister quickly deleted the tweet but ZR has several screenshots of that tweet.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, says President Muhammadu Buhari and the cabal running his government have become jittery following the statements of condemnation issued by the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union over the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Phrank Shuaibu, the former Vice-President urged Buhari to ensure that next month’s elections are free and fair or face the consequences.

He said, “Buhari’s cabal is unhappy with the statements from the US, the British and the EU because they know that these world powers have agreed to re-route their latest and most technologically sophisticated spy satellites, including the NAOL-47 satellite, to provide comprehensive coverage over Nigeria on February 16.

“The photographs these satellites will deliver cannot only show someone reading a newspaper but also which newspaper they are reading.”

Recall that the Federal Government had, in a statement through Garba Shehu, stated that, “The nation’s security forces will confront any attempt to interfere with the process by elements from outside the country.”

The PDP candidate, however, expressed concerns over the “desperation of the APC to rig the forthcoming elections;” and advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, the military and the Police not to allow themselves to be used by “those interested in turning Nigeria’s democracy on its head.”

This is what happens when people erroneously voted in a man that failed to do Economics in his result and also itting to have prepared “a Botched Budget,” and thereby making efforts to lobby the National Assembly to scrutinize and endorse the Budget subjectively in other to rebate, cover and vindicate his inept dispensation as the president.

His incognizance and impotency concerning implementing and formulating palatable economic policies have led to the deterioration of the recessing economy;
“The price of Tiger generators, popularly referred to as ‘I better my neighbour’ generators, which is the smallest in the range of petrol-powered generators, has increased from about N15,000 to about N25,000 in the last one month.

The Elepaq generator, which is next in capacity, has also gone from N35,000 to N68,000 since February. Another category of generators, which used to cost N59,000, now goes for N80,000.

It was also learnt that the cost of diesel-powered generators had increased over the past one month. The retail price of 20KVA generators increased from N1.25m to N2.4m; 60KVA, N2.5m to N3.4m; and 500KVA, N11m to 14.4m.

Before, a carton of candle was N6,200.Now it is N8,000. In some parts of Lagos, a 25-litre keg of water, which used to cost N10, now costs N30. It is worse in some parts of Ikeja where the price of a 20-litre gallon has increase by 100 per cent, from N25 to N50.

It was also learnt that a middle-sized torchlight which used to cost N90 is now N160.” – PUNCH

Stagflation, Galloping Inflation, Failed Promises, Fulani Menace, Naria Depreciation, Propaganda And Lies, Electricity Power Retrogression, Fuel Scarcity are the attributes of a government voted in and maintained by credulous Zombies.

Tukur Bayero THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER e: 1st class in Engineering: How student broke 20-yr-old jinx in ABU With respect to an interview published on 12th February, 2016 in Encounters column of the Daily Trust, I am Bayero Muhammad Tukur and I wish to rectify some mixed up facts contained in the interview. The caption just before the proper interview stated that, I graduated with a first class degree in Engineering after the "Faculty of Engineering" has failed to produce a first class graduate for 20 years. This is mixed up. Actually, the Faculty of Engineering of Ahmadu Bello University has been graduating first class students. In fact since my arrival at the Faculty as a 100 level student, there is no single graduating year that a first class graduate is not made in the faculty. However, I just happen to be the best graduating student from my department with a First Class honours recently. This department is called "Water Resources and Environmental Engineering" (WREE). This department was fractioned from the old Civil Engineering department of the faculty in the year 1980. It's main aim was to train Civil Engineers who will specialize in aspects of Hydrology, Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering. The faculty of Engineering in ABU usually produce best of the First Class in the School in almost every academic session. At a point. Gazali Tanimu emerged the best graduating student in the whole school and he is from Chemical Engineering. More so, in the set that graduated in 2005 from the Water resources and environmental engineering department. There was a first class Student in the set. This is to bring to your notice that even the 20 years was exaggerated. This rectification is really necessary as it is better done than not. I wish to correct this so that it does not look like an intentional academic fraud from my side instead of the mixed up story that it is. Thank you. Bayero Muhammad Tukur

This is going to be interesting.

I give it to PT, most of what is captured here are totally unjustifiable, especially under the current economic realities. Some of these items have lifespans of over 10years so I just don't understand why it has become a norm for our leaders to keep proposing expenditures on these items in every budget! Take car jacks, caution triangles, and kitchen utensils for instance. I criticised Jonathan's government for this and surely find it unacceptable it is repeating itself under this government.

Kudos to our press for being steadfast in their duty. This is the sort of "opposition" we need and not one that is bent on pulling down the government at all cost, criticising in a manner that suggest an emotional breakdown.

I hope these anomalies are brought to Baba's notice. It would be VERY unfair to the good people of Nigeria, especially Baba's fervent ers like my humble self to have the budget ed without reviewing these expenditures.
It hurt to see this kind of frivolous spending happening in the government. voted by the masses for a better future to the younger generation. BUHARI WALLAHI FEAR ALLAH CUZ YOU WILL BE HELD ABLE FOR BEFORE HIM THE CREATOR FOR ALL THAT HAPPEN UNDER YOUR REGIME.
PLS DO THE NEEDFUL.
I STILL BELIEVED NIGERIA WILL BE BETTER UNDER YOU.
I AM STILL YOUR ER
