In a heartwarming show of love and unity, Nwako Bariagara Bridget, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member from Rivers State, has successfully completed a personal Community Development Service (CDS) project that is nothing short of remarkable. Serving in Jigawa State as part of the 2023 Batch C2, Bridget identified a pressing need in her community and made it her mission to bring stability and safety to the residents.

Jigawa State often experiences heavy rainfall, which poses a severe threat to the structural integrity of mud houses. Many homes in the community had already collapsed, while others were on the verge of giving way. Witnessing this, Bridget took it upon herself to act.

“Due to rainfall in Jigawa State, many mud houses collapsed while some were about to. The reinforcement was according to the complaints made by the occupants of the houses. The commissioning was yesterday.”

Her project was driven by the need to save lives and properties, ensuring that families had a safe place to call home once more.

> “The main objective of this project was to save lives and properties. Because before this, these people had no place to lay down their heads, but now they can. Secondly, I’m calling for unity and love among us. I’m from Rivers State by origin but served in Jigawa State.”

During the commissioning ceremony, Bridget shared her gratitude for the success of the project and the smiles it brought to the residents' faces.

> “I’m grateful to God Almighty for seeing me this far and that I was able to reinforce 8 mud houses out of 10 in this economy. The smile on their faces means a lot to me.”

But Bridget’s message didn’t stop with her achievements. She also took this moment to call on Nigerian youths and leaders, encouraging a spirit of unity across regional lines.

> “I’m calling out all our youths and leaders that love and unity matter for a country to grow. Let’s stop fighting each other or being biased in our treatment towards one another because of our regional differences. Together we stand.”

Bridget’s actions have not only helped the local community in Jigawa but have also highlighted the importance of comion, unity, and mutual respect across Nigeria. Her example stands as an inspiration, reminding us that true development comes from shared values and across regions.

Her story is a testament to the power of individuals, even in the face of economic hardship, to bring positive change to others’ lives.

During NYSC Orientation camp, there is something called 'Parade Remove Hairdresses' This is a slang for saluting the authority and it simply means 'Remove your face cap'

Then other commands usually follows. Time to time, there has been several parodies about this command. A while ago, there was a Video about guys removing their boxers doing 'Parade remove boxers'

This time around, some female Corps are taking the parody to another level.

I got a message from her on telegram and at first sight, I knew she's a scammer.

She told me about SUBWAY Marketing and how they specialised in an online investment where you get a ridiculous high percentage on any amount you invest in just 3 days.

Lots of scammers have been using this format lately and if it has not been working, they would have stopped. So probably they have victims that's why they propagate their method.

Please do not fall for any online investment scam. They will block you as soon as you send the money and there is nothing you can do about it.

This is just to caution and to tell you not to be happy if Glory Anabel message you about money multiplication investment on any social media platform.

There are thousands of them out there both the real scammers and the ones that look for refferals. Please be watchful and do not fall victim in the hand of these horrible people.

Glory Anabel is an ex-Corper who defended herself that she was looking to make some money but decided to go for it through a wrong way.

When I told her about my little connection that could get her arrested and earn her a jail time in 24 hours, she blocked me and deleted all our messages. She don't know I already had screenshot.

Please money is not that easy to be multiplied just like that. Always block these people and don't attempt to send money to anybody for multiplication investment.

The Zamfara Government has earmarked N50 million for the renovation of NYSC Orientation Camp, Tsafe in its 2020 budget proposal.

The State Commissioner for Youths Development and Sport, Alhaji Abdulkadir Buhari disclosed this to newsmen in Gusau on Friday after defending the ministry’s 2020 budget before the state House of Assembly.

Buhari said the fund would be used for total renovation of corps ’ hostels, construction of modern kitchen and other renovations in the camp.

“You know, every three months the state receive about 2000 corps deployed to the state by NYSC for one year mandatory service.

“The state government under the leadership of governor Bello Matawalle is acknowledging the contribution of NYSC scheme for the development of the state.

“Therefore, we are committed to improve the welfare of corps and enhance the NYSC scheme in this state”, the Commissioner said.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to the state governor on Zamfara Poverty Alleviation Agency (ZAPA), Alhaji Rufa’i Chiroma, while defending the 2020 budget proposal of the agency, said the government has various programmes to eradicate poverty and victims of banditry and cattle rustling.

“You know, our people especially in the rural areas have been victims of insecurity challenges faced by the state.

“With the current peace and stability enjoyed by the people of the state, the state government is planning to come out with various empowerment programmes for the people of the state to reduce, poverty and unemployment”, he said.

Some stranded corps traveling from Abuja to Kebbi state NYSC orientation camp, seized Azman Air laptops and other valuables after their flight was canceled.

It was learnt that the corps ' grievances centered on being delayed for 6 hours before their flight got canceled by 7 pm by the airline. Here is a video from the scene of the incident below.
