There's nothing to expect from this guy, he's not talking about economic policy, not talking about reformation, not talking economic potentials etc His solution starts and ends with should leave them alone. Expect nothing from people who are good in stock piling blames. 4 Likes |

Wainey: I think the biggest problem we have as a people is trying to force ourselves into other people's standard. Understand your level and use a template that suit your level and you'll achieve the same level of happiness with those with big pockets. Ladies also need to understand this. 4 Likes 1 Share |

These set of accursed individuals who see nothing successful about Nigeria are not supposed to be given the listening ears to talk their usual balderdash. There are gain as there are problems, there are successes as there are failures. And problems never cease, as you solve some, more rare their ugly heads. In sum total, despite the challenges, this gov't has achieved better than previous istrations. 7 Likes 1 Share |

checkmatez: This is the mentality that has kept us on this terrible path. She influenced her posting to Abuja or not, let's first attack the corruption that has been identified, that has been proven beyond reasonable doubt and we'll talk about that later. With this mentality of yours, what you're trying to say is that we fight any act of corruption since it is possible she influenced her posting to Abuja even though that assertion is yet to be proven 3 Likes |

Dapinski: Please can I get to know you? You have put all my thoughts together and expressed them better than I would be able to. This is the very point I've been putting forward for those who care to listen. The North cannot afford to and should not make the mistake of proving that loyalty and collaborations would never be appreciated. This is the only chance to prove that the North still has integrity and can be trusted. This is the only opportunity to make it clear that the union called Nigeria can and will work. If mistrust is allowed to germinate, the growth will lead to the beginning of the end. |

Dapinski: I get your point and I'm with you to some extent, I'll keep other thoughts to my chest and observe how events unfolds, may be as we pray. On a second note, I'm of the opinion that there are several conspiracies going on, both from so called elites "exposed" generations. In that also let's see how things unfold as well. As things stands, Tinubu has been a hard nut for several blocs to crack and it'll really be a tough one to work against him despite the fact that their intention is known. |

People have different paths they find most suitable for their type of person. Some would prefer figuring things out on their own, they're ready to give their all and make expensive sacrifice than been led by other people, while others would prefer being led than figuring things out, and all these exist in history. Elon Musk, Bill Gates etc are prominent examples of self taught whose success see the light, there are others who will never make it to that level while there be those who will get there but will take longer time. While as we know it, there would definitely be people who whose personality style is growing within a structured system, being given roles and tasks, seek validation of others (Superiors and Bosses) before they develop the confidence to take the world. Know your type of person, have conviction of who you are and stick to it. 29 Likes 4 Shares |

Everything in the country is really frustrating and everybody is fighting for their pockets, they are not fighting for the good of the society. When the same staffs were hoarding train tickets and selling at Black markets, they never knew their benefits are not paid, but when they have no ways of shortchanging the gov't and the masses, they ed their welfare. Government itself doesn't care about the welfare and living standards of the citizenry talk more of it's own workforce. Till the day we understand that by lifting the society, we're lifting our individual selves, it'll always be one agitation or the other 2 Likes 1 Share |

Unfortunately this is Nigeria where hardwork amounts to nothing, the template of the mediocre mind would still be followed and put as the standard. Actually Lagos should have the highest number of crime being committed, highest number of prison inmates, highest number of awaiting trials and subsequently the most frequency of jail breaks, but non of these is happening. Due to politics of calumny and the teaming high number of low minds in the country, Lagos State hasn't done anything spectacular to deserve commendations and you wonder why there's no development in the country? That is because on the election day, most of you would go out and vote the worst candidate or even avoid voting because you want an angel on the ballot. There's no point stressing oneself discussing politics because majority are too stupid to understand the most salient points. 1 Like 1 Share |

Seun: Call it whatever you want, that's a system that's vigilant, they'll not allow into their country any item they're not sure will not pose a risk to their eco-system and human health. As it is, it's an invasive specie which will definitely mean it has to be contained and well monitored which the traveler hasn't made provisions for, besides the American system isn't used to such specie as such not familiar enough in it's handling, in this part of the world we believed it's harmless, we shouldn't expect others to trust such unsubstantiated belief. 2 Likes |

carinmom:But are u sure sudais is faster compared to Shuraim? Thats what most people usually think not until they observe very closely. Try following Shuraim recitation by reciting along with him and compare that to sudais and you'll know who's actually faster. That was my thinking also not until someone called my attention to it. The calmness of Shuraim's recitation makes it feel like its slow |

yusufbida: Y are u people so obsessed with the issue of OKIN not qualifying as a reciter? Do u really understand what Quran recitation actually means? It involves alots of things which the least is correct pronunciation of the huruf. The prophet (SAW) said people will be reciting the Quran and the Quran will be cursing them, this happens because they recite it wrongly thereby changing its meaning. Do u call such a person reciter of the Quran? OKIN recites the Quran with wrong pronunciation of the ahruf of the words and by so doing changes the message of Allah. This issue is a very serious issue in islam. Quranic words are not to be joked with but accorded with reverence and seriousness. Its Allah's words, The creator. So the issue of ur favourite or mine doesn't occur so far the person in question doesn't qualify. |

gearcoin: He's one reciter in the SW part of the country using the markazi melody/tone style, he recites for a mallam called Sulaiman Faruq during Tafseer and other lectures series. I can categorize him along side Tahir Bauchi or Ahmad Sulaiman who are indigenous reciters and recite with our indigenous tone. But he doesn't qualify as a reciter but he's been celebrated by many Muslims who are as well ignorant. Tajweed is zero, proper pronunciation is horrible. |

odutolasodiq: I thought u wanted having some debate because u are knowledgeable, i never knew you are a time waster and ignorant just as OKIN himself. I will not argue or debate what disqualifies OKIN as a reciter, ( I'll only argue with someone of equal knowledge and not an ignorant person on the subject of discourse) rather i'll help your ignorance in the best way i can through some suggestions. a) Seek knowledge, go and learn from qualified Scholars or Qualified Islamic Schools. Make it clear that you wish to learn Tajweed. Sincerely i don't know which Islamic school to recommend to you as most of the Islamic schools in SW are not qualified to teach Tajweed. ( Mind you am not saying all, but most. How i wish i can tell a short story). With that you can independently pick out his wrong recitations. b) Get someone who knows how to recite the Quran with Tajweed and he'll pick the faults in Okin's recitations without spending much time and efforts c) Lastly, this is a lazy way out, if you've been to "ile kewu" and can read some arabic text correctly, pick any reciter and compare the recitation with Okin's recitation. You should be able to figure out some faults. I would have loved to actually point out those faults to you myself but it can't be made over the internet, it can only be made one on one or if i should make a video of it. On a more serious note, My brother, Our religion of Islam is based on adequate Knowledge and understanding which is not based on what we do our society or what is popular so that we can resolve all our life issues with Obedience to Allah and the Prophet (SAW). |

odutolasodiq:Brother, i would have loved not to issues with you since i can see that you want to waste time and throw insults, but for that sake of people who are interested in learning and knowing the truth, i graced you with a reply. If u actually want to argue, fine, the question i'll love to ask you is on what topic do you want to argue on not asking who tutored mw |

yusufbida:Brother this is not about opinion but knowledge, if someone is not qualified, there's no two ways about it, he's not qualified. There are many other indigenous Quran reciters who are good, i doubt if you know someone called Sarumi? He used to recite for Sheikh Abdulahi Salaty before his death, Sarumi is a million times better than Okin though he has some short comings as well. But his makharijal huruf is in order, and he follows basic Tajweed as much as i know. Just as i earlier said, Okin is no where near it, so please stop celebrating mediocrity. Can i shock you with something? The world acclaimed Abdulbasit Abdus Samad is usually not accorded the respect of a Qari by the scholars who specialize in Tajweed. What would you say about that? Abdulbasit is recognised Quran reciter through out the world, his recitation earned him reputation, he's celebrated and had visited different countries in the course of his Quran recitation, he has the knowledge, his Makharijal huruf is sound and he follows tajweed, but due to his negligence of some aspects of tajweed in preference for the elongation he does, in some quarters he's not recognised as a sound reciter. And you are here arguing about Okin. Please go and seek knowledge of the Quran. 1 Like |

Carmal90:Thats d problem we have in the Yoruba Muslim Communities, we do not adhere to strict islamic Laws, we hold onto the peripherals and conclude its the whole Islam most especially on knowledge. When someone can speak basic arabic (which is just a language), he is termed a Scholar even when his knowledge of the said arabic is flawed with lot of grammatical blunders. Talk more of specialised fields like Quran and its sciences, Fiqh and its different aspects, Hadith etc. Most of the so called Alfas are in real sense not qualified to be called so. My most concern is usually the wrong teachings that are usually spread across to the Ummah. May Allah guide us all. 1 Like 1 Share |
