There's nothing to expect from this guy, he's not talking about economic policy, not talking about reformation, not talking economic potentials etc

His solution starts and ends with should leave them alone.

Expect nothing from people who are good in stock piling blames.

These set of accursed individuals who see nothing successful about Nigeria are not supposed to be given the listening ears to talk their usual balderdash.

There are gain as there are problems, there are successes as there are failures. And problems never cease, as you solve some, more rare their ugly heads.

In sum total, despite the challenges, this gov't has achieved better than previous istrations.

This ur premise is fundamentally flawed. Assuming she influenced the posting, then she has no moral justification to complain because she is a big part of the corruption.
Second, we have only one side of this story. There is no way to assertain the authenticity of her claims.

Look at you contradicting yourself on all fronts, you want to hear the other side of the story and already concluded she influenced her posting. Does that really make sense to you?

I always wonder why we keep getting it wrong in this country, and we'll always get it wrong so far who have majority with this type of mentality.

Can she prove she didn't worked her posting to Abuja, even worked her posting from camp to get a better PPA. Because they rejected you then Nigeria is bad. The course studied don't really have any business with the intended office.
Nonsense news

This is the mentality that has kept us on this terrible path. She influenced her posting to Abuja or not, let's first attack the corruption that has been identified, that has been proven beyond reasonable doubt and we'll talk about that later.

With this mentality of yours, what you're trying to say is that we fight any act of corruption since it is possible she influenced her posting to Abuja even though that assertion is yet to be proven

Indeed. What excuse can Buhari and Northerners in the APC give for working against Tinubu when the man made all what they are enjoying today possible and genuinely gave his all to deliver for the Party?

How can Northerners in the APC justify paying back Tinubu with treachery, no pun intended but Yorubas are not Igbos to be openly humiliated in a Party, as has been done to Igbos in the PDP, only to stick around continuing to be cheerleaders for that Party.

Will not happen. Yorubas know their worth and are rebellious like that against ingratitude, injustice, dishonorable conduct and unfair treatment of others.

People can believe what they want but the reality is that Tinubu has a lot of loyal and powerful ers from his own ethnic group and others who will view any treacherous conduct against Tinubu as wrong and unjust.

Public bullying and humiliation of Tinubu, tantamount to showing him that his own Party he built is conspiring against him, will have seismic repercussion for Nigeria.

It will mark an end to honorable and gentlemanly politics of decorum and upright partnership/cooperation . It will also signal to the 'one Nigeria' crew that their effort is wasted and all we have is a treacherous and unholy union where we are all lesser animals in the eyes of the North.

I.e the North can have any Northerner they want leading us but they must tell us the Southerner they want or do not want leading Nigeria as they got away with doing in the past and as Miyetti Allah is currently insinuating openly and arrogantly .

From then it will be a new age of ethnic protectionism, mutual loathing and suspicion plus 'to your tent O Isreal' animosity throughout Nigeria and especially in the SW.

Yorubas will surely rise up to that new future chapter of Nigeria, as principled people, in so far as we believe we kept our end of the deal yet others chose to double cross us expensively.

I can't say I will be against this option either if some want to have 8 years where they ruled as they pleased and took Nigeria in any direction they wanted yet, in "owners of Nigeria" arrogance , do not want to concede the same right to other Nigerians because of fear that new policies and directives may not favour their desperation to keep everything 'business as usual' to the detriment of our nation.

They fear Tinubu as they fear Awolowo and were committed to ensuring the sage never became President.

It will be interesting to see if Yorubas have learnt lessons from history and if the right-thinking elite we have in Nigeria, whether Northerners or Yorubas, are willing to fight politically for the liberation of Nigeria from conservatism, graudulism and 'business as usual' preponderance of the North or whether it is another #EndSARS punitive episode in the future that will reset Nigeria.

Come what may, and whether the North like it or not, Nigeria must reform or die. Grim reality. We either do it the right way or the very costly way.

Please can I get to know you? You have put all my thoughts together and expressed them better than I would be able to.

This is the very point I've been putting forward for those who care to listen. The North cannot afford to and should not make the mistake of proving that loyalty and collaborations would never be appreciated.

This is the only chance to prove that the North still has integrity and can be trusted.

This is the only opportunity to make it clear that the union called Nigeria can and will work. If mistrust is allowed to germinate, the growth will lead to the beginning of the end.

Indeed. The writer makes the overall point some of us have long concurred with which is that Osinbajo can only win if Tinubu props him up and is fully behind him.

If Osinbajo allows himself to be pushed into a face-off with Tinubu, to then be aided by Buhari etal to get the APC ticket, the PDP will win the general election easily and a Fulani continues in power.

This is because a publicly humiliated Tinubu and victim of an unjust gang up no fair person can say he deserves, for his excellent and winning service to the APC, will simply divorce himself and his very formidable and broadly powerful political machinery from aiding APC's 2023 quest .

Tinubu did same in 2011 when he did not back ACN candidate, Ribadu, with his finance and resources.

Goodluck to APC. They have some hard choices to make. Especially the C block of Buhari. Their inclinination may be to conspire to give PDP victory and thus keep the Presidency 'Fulani as usual'.

Yet that too comes with very grave danger for Nigeria's unity, peace and amicable future ethnic co-existence,.

Aside Igbos, only able to vote hatefully and vindictively, many Southerners are fed up of Northern leadership of Nigeria which bitter and frustrating experience has shown can/will never take Nigeria where she needs to go to deliver a modern, merit-based, progressive, fair, restructed and socio-economically vibrant nation.

2023 will be very interesting. However things go, Nigeria will never be the same again. We havr reached the limit of political pisstake.

This is the time for some to consider the greater good or the fractured Nigeria that will emerge in 2023, if the right things are not done, will be like Humpty Dumpty no one could put back together when he broke into many pieces after a fall.

I get your point and I'm with you to some extent, I'll keep other thoughts to my chest and observe how events unfolds, may be as we pray.

On a second note, I'm of the opinion that there are several conspiracies going on, both from so called elites "exposed" generations. In that also let's see how things unfold as well.

As things stands, Tinubu has been a hard nut for several blocs to crack and it'll really be a tough one to work against him despite the fact that their intention is known.

Your assertions are correct but you must also understand that the mindet of an inventor is far different from that of an ordinary business owner. Inventors are naturally restless people who usually lose out at the beginning of their exploits but learn through bitter lessons how to be a good business person and an inventor at the same time.

If you're not an inventor, it'd be difficult to think like one.

Figuring things out by oneself is the same personality shared by "Inventor, investor and probably a business man".

It all entails conviction of your person and the boldness to forge ahead. Unending intentional learning, mistakes and re-allignment.

apacheguy: 11:54am On Dec 04, 2021
People have different paths they find most suitable for their type of person.

Some would prefer figuring things out on their own, they're ready to give their all and make expensive sacrifice than been led by other people, while others would prefer being led than figuring things out, and all these exist in history.

Elon Musk, Bill Gates etc are prominent examples of self taught whose success see the light, there are others who will never make it to that level while there be those who will get there but will take longer time.

While as we know it, there would definitely be people who whose personality style is growing within a structured system, being given roles and tasks, seek validation of others (Superiors and Bosses) before they develop the confidence to take the world.

Know your type of person, have conviction of who you are and stick to it.

I want Tinubu to be president...

My reason is simple...

If Tinubu becomes the president, power-decision will shift from the North.... And the North will have little or no interest in 5he Nigerian affairs....

There will be no cabals to control Tinubu because he's got loyalists that will ensure that his government is successful...

Tinubu would likely restructure Nigeria .. he's a visionary leader..

Osinbajo is a puppet to the North and would likely dance to their tunes ..

The North have been in control of this country for many years and only Tinubu can change that...

Note, I am not a south-westerner and I have never been to the west nor have extended family in the west...

Originally, I'd the east to bring in a president, but whoever will emerge from the east will be closely monitored by the North and will not do anything aside biddings for those who made him... taking GEJ as a case study.

You prefer Tinubu... stand on it and don't bother defending your stand because as it stands, they don't care what your reasons are, No matter how intelligent and sincere they could be, you'll still be called names.

I'm for Tinubu and I don't have time making unintelligent folks understand the reasons

Everything in the country is really frustrating and everybody is fighting for their pockets, they are not fighting for the good of the society.

When the same staffs were hoarding train tickets and selling at Black markets, they never knew their benefits are not paid, but when they have no ways of shortchanging the gov't and the masses, they ed their welfare.

Government itself doesn't care about the welfare and living standards of the citizenry talk more of it's own workforce.

Till the day we understand that by lifting the society, we're lifting our individual selves, it'll always be one agitation or the other

Unfortunately this is Nigeria where hardwork amounts to nothing, the template of the mediocre mind would still be followed and put as the standard.

Actually Lagos should have the highest number of crime being committed, highest number of prison inmates, highest number of awaiting trials and subsequently the most frequency of jail breaks, but non of these is happening.

Due to politics of calumny and the teaming high number of low minds in the country, Lagos State hasn't done anything spectacular to deserve commendations and you wonder why there's no development in the country? That is because on the election day, most of you would go out and vote the worst candidate or even avoid voting because you want an angel on the ballot.

There's no point stressing oneself discussing politics because majority are too stupid to understand the most salient points.

I read on someone's post not long ago about how we should be careful with people because they are angry, very angry... the pressure of the economy is fueling unnecessary rage in people.

And I can relate, prices have gone up, you'll spend the whole day trying to figure out how to make ends meet, the stipends you make wouldn't cater for anything tangible whereas there are more demanding challenges waiting in the near future.

That's the reality of our present situations, what's the way out?

For a while now, I've been exploring the digital space, it's prospects, opportunities and possibilities and I can bold say there's endless opportunities, Infact I came up with a slogan

THERE'S AN ONLINE BUSINESS FOR EVERYONE

Numerous tools, Automation, Marketing etc. Start creating something, that's the best way we can create a wealthy society.

I hope this inspires you to get started.

Hopefully, I'll be able to sustain this high energy, if I do, I'll be sharing tips and tricks to creating an online business, if I can't, I'll rather conserve my energies to myself

The US authorities like to exaggerate the danger of African Land snails. The main issue with the snails is that they are an invasive species. When released into a new habitat they can wreck havoc on ecosystems. They eat everything and multiply rapidly. They're not that dangerous. The "meningitis" thing is nothing but a scare tactic, but it's very effective.

Call it whatever you want, that's a system that's vigilant, they'll not allow into their country any item they're not sure will not pose a risk to their eco-system and human health.

As it is, it's an invasive specie which will definitely mean it has to be contained and well monitored which the traveler hasn't made provisions for, besides the American system isn't used to such specie as such not familiar enough in it's handling, in this part of the world we believed it's harmless, we shouldn't expect others to trust such unsubstantiated belief.

Your personality should be a major deciding factor before you choose a career. If you love wealth there are certain career paths you can't choose. Not because you won't be wealthy, it is because you have a lower chance to and again there is a bigger chance you may get tempted.

Imagine a young lecturer saying he or she wants to be as wealthy as Dangote. Chances are that your case will be like that of the NECO/JAMB man, Dibu Ojerinde.

You can't be a Police Officer and be as ostentatious as Kyari. Check his Facebook timeline. That picture of him and his brothers puts the latter at risk. That profession does not fit that lifestyle. Imagine seeing my Imam that loves comedy always liking the posts of Mr. Macaroni. He can only enjoy the posts privately.

You know you have a weakness for women and you are a lecturer in the School of Social Sciences. Even criminals who want to stay undetected stay off social media but then they can't help it sometimes. If you love to be in informal dresses, there are certain profession that will be hard for you to fit in. I can't go to the hospital and then I am told the doctor is the best but he is on dreads.... I'll not risk it. I'll take a walk. There are written and unwritten code for every profession. Kyari erred.

He saw my Kaftan and liked it.... Are you normal at all Kyari? (In Macaroni's voice). We loved the idea that there was our own Jack Bauer somewhere but then it seems all is lost now.

Don't just get a job because you need one. Get one that fits. And stay with the code. We spend over 12 hours daily on our work. It's our life. Choose wisely.

I've been looking for words to describes my thoughts about choosing a career that fits but I don't know how to craft my wordings, you crafted them the way i loved, though i would have preferred you go deeper.

But are u sure sudais is faster compared to Shuraim? Thats what most people usually think not until they observe very closely. Try following Shuraim recitation by reciting along with him and compare that to sudais and you'll know who's actually faster. That was my thinking also not until someone called my attention to it. The calmness of Shuraim's recitation makes it feel like its slow

Broda it seems you don't understand the topic being discuss....

The topic is simply

Who is ur best reciter?

Whether Okin knows Tajweed or not d Broda said his best reciter is Okin dat s All

Deris difference btw our, your and mine.

Y are u people so obsessed with the issue of OKIN not qualifying as a reciter? Do u really understand what Quran recitation actually means? It involves alots of things which the least is correct pronunciation of the huruf. The prophet (SAW) said people will be reciting the Quran and the Quran will be cursing them, this happens because they recite it wrongly thereby changing its meaning. Do u call such a person reciter of the Quran? OKIN recites the Quran with wrong pronunciation of the ahruf of the words and by so doing changes the message of Allah. This issue is a very serious issue in islam. Quranic words are not to be joked with but accorded with reverence and seriousness. Its Allah's words, The creator. So the issue of ur favourite or mine doesn't occur so far the person in question doesn't qualify.

I don laff tired. Who is dat okin self.

He's one reciter in the SW part of the country using the markazi melody/tone style, he recites for a mallam called Sulaiman Faruq during Tafseer and other lectures series. I can categorize him along side Tahir Bauchi or Ahmad Sulaiman who are indigenous reciters and recite with our indigenous tone. But he doesn't qualify as a reciter but he's been celebrated by many Muslims who are as well ignorant. Tajweed is zero, proper pronunciation is horrible.

I think u should do that by telling me how alhaji okin faulters in any of his recitations, lets start from there! and be sure of urself! please lets educate the public....

I thought u wanted having some debate because u are knowledgeable, i never knew you are a time waster and ignorant just as OKIN himself.

I will not argue or debate what disqualifies OKIN as a reciter, ( I'll only argue with someone of equal knowledge and not an ignorant person on the subject of discourse) rather i'll help your ignorance in the best way i can through some suggestions.

a) Seek knowledge, go and learn from qualified Scholars or Qualified Islamic Schools. Make it clear that you wish to learn Tajweed. Sincerely i don't know which Islamic school to recommend to you as most of the Islamic schools in SW are not qualified to teach Tajweed. ( Mind you am not saying all, but most. How i wish i can tell a short story).
With that you can independently pick out his wrong recitations.

b) Get someone who knows how to recite the Quran with Tajweed and he'll pick the faults in Okin's recitations without spending much time and efforts

c) Lastly, this is a lazy way out, if you've been to "ile kewu" and can read some arabic text correctly, pick any reciter and compare the recitation with Okin's recitation. You should be able to figure out some faults.

I would have loved to actually point out those faults to you myself but it can't be made over the internet, it can only be made one on one or if i should make a video of it.

On a more serious note, My brother, Our religion of Islam is based on adequate Knowledge and understanding which is not based on what we do our society or what is popular so that we can resolve all our life issues with Obedience to Allah and the Prophet (SAW).

Stop the attack everybody is entitle to his. or her opinions.
Brother this is not about opinion but knowledge, if someone is not qualified, there's no two ways about it, he's not qualified. There are many other indigenous Quran reciters who are good, i doubt if you know someone called Sarumi? He used to recite for Sheikh Abdulahi Salaty before his death, Sarumi is a million times better than Okin though he has some short comings as well. But his makharijal huruf is in order, and he follows basic Tajweed as much as i know. Just as i earlier said, Okin is no where near it, so please stop celebrating mediocrity. Can i shock you with something? The world acclaimed Abdulbasit Abdus Samad is usually not accorded the respect of a Qari by the scholars who specialize in Tajweed. What would you say about that? Abdulbasit is recognised Quran reciter through out the world, his recitation earned him reputation, he's celebrated and had visited different countries in the course of his Quran recitation, he has the knowledge, his Makharijal huruf is sound and he follows tajweed, but due to his negligence of some aspects of tajweed in preference for the elongation he does, in some quarters he's not recognised as a sound reciter. And you are here arguing about Okin. Please go and seek knowledge of the Quran.

sir/ma if all what you said about Okin is true, then I weep for Islam.. why would a not so good reciter of the holy Quran be celebrated by Nigerians including myself, pls why didn't his Alfa sheik faruq tutored him, and me be thinking he is the best no thanks to my flaw knowledge on Arabic and our bastardise groups of Islamic scholars
Thats d problem we have in the Yoruba Muslim Communities, we do not adhere to strict islamic Laws, we hold onto the peripherals and conclude its the whole Islam most especially on knowledge. When someone can speak basic arabic (which is just a language), he is termed a Scholar even when his knowledge of the said arabic is flawed with lot of grammatical blunders. Talk more of specialised fields like Quran and its sciences, Fiqh and its different aspects, Hadith etc. Most of the so called Alfas are in real sense not qualified to be called so. My most concern is usually the wrong teachings that are usually spread across to the Ummah. May Allah guide us all.
