Difference between Igbo tribalism and yoruba tribalism is this: In the East, tribalism which is not a frequent occurrence usually comes from the youths/teenagers. This is 100%excusable, maybe youthful exuberance or lack of understanding. In yoruba land, tribalism comes from youths and elders equally, the rich, the poor, the elites, the vastly uneducated masses. When you see a Facebook post battle between Igbos and yoruba, just gently start observing the people commenting. Take note of their ages and you will end up shaking ur head in disappointment for the yoruba.. Around an igboman, a yoruba man always feels highly threatened and discomfort which usually leads them to exhibit a sense of insecurity that could look childish publicly. You that type of insecurity a woman exhibits when she is around a fellow woman taller, more learned, more beautiful and more appreciated than herself 1 Like |

Elusive001:for me, there are better things for us to discuss than Nigerian politics. Our lagging behind in the Nigerian politics is not only because of how we play politics but on the lack of from other regions. The north are still looking for that igboman they can trust, which maybe Jesus Christ when he comes down from heaven since they couldn't pick any reliable person of igbo origin since time immemorial. Let's focus on our business, education, development and expansion. They can keep their politics for all I care |

Igirigimercenar:you cannot do that. Let's be realistic here, the scars of the civil war and its resentment still lingers till date. No Matter how much you try to deny it. There's a gang up against us. That's why some people will look u in the face and tell you that an Igbo man will never rule this country. The mindset is there. Those of our people who left our "clannish" politics to North and south west only have a limited height they are meant to attain. You don't cross that height. One of the major reasons Jonathan was resented was his public declaration that igbos were the backbone of his government. It stung them so much. I thank God for our business and academic prowess. We do not feel Nigeria as much as they wanted us to feel it. This is not about victim mentality, this is just telling you the truth. 8 Likes |

pazienza:our people can be so foolish a times. how we fought this war in the years past even as a fearless teenager I was then. We started from our history, language, culture, uniting our people and so on. Some igbos are so insecured with a touch of low self esteem that they judge themselves with what they heard from others. Our politicians are nothing to write home about in of fighting for a united course. Our people so scattered. Our women nko?, especially those ones born outside south east, they're terrible. I read a post on Facebook sometimes ago from a supposedly Igbo woman talking trash about our sacred marriage tradition. She was of the opinion that we usually take marriage so serious in the East. She was like we should copy from Yorubas where a woman would be married and still be having children and affairs freely outside her marriage. Imagine the mentality. I read another post from another supposedly Igbo lady talking down on Igbo men. How rigid, intolerant, unromantic and stingy they're. Sometimes the character of some of our people will just weaken you.. 2 Likes |
