Can't believe Maureen was voted out. That fake Ify girl has got to go! She's gotta go! Can't stand her! ![]() |

Ify, Francisca and Joan up for eviction this week. Did you guys see Ify's utter surprise on being nominated? I wonder if she thought she was invincible or infact indispensible. Francisca looked like she saw it coming, probably because she's been nominated before. Joan's nonchalant attitude on being nominated or not may be her ticket to being evicted or just might earn her more days in the house. But there seems to be this "stain" on her because of her link with Chinedu and all of a sudden people want her to him out there. Imagine Francisca even mentioned that when she was nominating Joan for eviction. Na waa, Ebuka got no votes at all for eviction, and he has no qualms about nominating anybody. What is it with that guy sef ? The housemates should shine their eyes because he is really looking like he's going to leave with the money oooooo, !!!! |

Like one of us already said: IT GOES BOTH WAYS A girl could fall inlove with an "unmade" guy with prospects, invest emotionally and financially into the relationship, marriage being in the works and all. And what happens at the end of the day? He is cheating on her with another girl who is also probably giving him (financially) more than you are giving him. A typical gigolo living off women. ![]() Personally I don't know how I'd cope in a relationship with the so called made man....even if I have sincere feelings for him, the guy will always think it's his money I'm after. And being independent having made my own dough, I don't think I'd be able to stand such a guy. So you see it's a real dilemma. |

Yeah there's one of his songs on this album that kinda haunts me: "Goodbye My Lover" The song is so sad...he is saying goodbye and still he can't let go... |

@ Oiza yes ooo..you try my sister! At least we sabi the names.. We don't want to seem ancient among these young ones especially when they are on and and on about Pharell or Marion or Joe and the rest of them. I say we try joo..after all I'm sure they have no idea of who J.D Souther or Leo Sayer is! (Oh my...I crack myself up..those names sound like they came right out of a history book!) ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Ijebuman for the info. What a pity about McFadden's demise, and Whitehead even died some years ago. Now they are both gone. But their music lives on.. and that's a wondeful legacy. |

@ gentleleaura ... "I Will Survive" was sung by Gloria Gaynor not Diana Ross @ AguNwoke hia! nna na waa oo...Chicks and Chickens indeed! Where did you get that from ![]() @ ababoy1 you are too much ooo...since you are the oldies guru here I'm sure you'll know the name of the group that sang "Ain't No Stopping Us Now We're On The Move" (Cause I don't ) I'm surprised nobody mentioned Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody, Loves Me Better" (or was it mentioned?) What about Kool & The Gang? Or The Gap Band? (lol!!!) And "Shame" by Evelyn ("Champagne" ![]() But with the sort of music played these days..my goodness..the lyrics are heavy! You could almost need protection to listen to the songs with all the innuendos (or infact literal description) of love making going on in the song! ewooo... Sexual Healing is decent believe me compared to what's on the radio these days in the name of love songs...or is it the music videos? If the babes ain't shaking their booty or boobs in their skimpy bikinis then the video won't sell...na waa ooo... I still think our generation got it better... |

Bad boys hmm....they have the charisma and there's never a dull moment with them. Bad boys are not necessarily guys with baggy tros half way down their hips. There are smart dressing corporate (bankers, lawyers, etc.) bad boys that can charm their way into a girl's heart. Bad boys are simply smooth talkers. So maybe we girls don't exactly want the "yes dear, ok dear" type of guy but if he comes with a streak of badness or danger or you know something that makes him mysterious he is definitely attractive. Bad boys are not necessarily the handsome or even rich guys. Yes we don't want a door mat for a guy, they are simply boring and predictive, nothing to look forward to. Bad boys are spontaneous, adventurous. BUT the irony is that the bad boys are boyfriend material while the good guys are husband material. Take your pick. God help us all and I mean we women. Complicated creatures that we are, we unfortunately do not come with manuals so that we can be figured out by the men. Men on the other had do not like good girls too. But when they want to take a girl home to Mama they start looking for some saint. We can hardly have it all you know that "lady on the street but a freak in bed" or the "jew man at home that transforms into a " G" when you both step out". |

Hmmm... I wonder whose embarrassing moment will top mine, and yeah it's got to do with the period thingy. Nope I was not stained but worse. My pad fell out while I was walking past a mechanic workshop. A mechanic workshop for crying out loud! Thankfully I was almost done with my period so the pad was kinda dry but that did not stop the sudden silence that decended on the group of mechanics who earlier on were working noisily. Needless to say I dared not look back to see their shocked faces but hurriedly distanced myself away from the pesky pad that somehow escaped from my panties. Of course I never took that path home again!

AGE has got a new album out in the market and it's called Collecting Flowers. It was launched on 25th November 2005 at the Nicon Hilton Abuja. I say this authoritatively cause I was there! It's got the AGE touch and simply beautiful. My two favourite songs on this album is "Lost Years" and "Birds & Wings". Unlike Manta I don't have the lyrics but they are lovely all the same. |

Everyday the Bar Beach is inching in closer and closer to the main road and might soon flood into the residential areas near it. This is only noticed whe the rains come..nothing is being done about it during the dry season. The sandbags that have been piled to prevent this have proved useless. I even hear an Israeli company has been awarded the contract to rectiy the almost gone situation. I hope it's true and not just a propaganda.God help us! |

I've got family in Houston. I just got off the phone with them. Can you guys believe my cousin said he and his family will run into their closets (wardrobes) when the hurricane comes? And they live in a duplex! How practical is that? He says he's got insurance for his house then why stay waiting for the hurricane to hit? I can only pray ooo... There're gridlocks on the exits out of Houston cause people in their haste to leave had become disorderly...people have also ran out fuel and so are stuck Hot Angel let us know what's up with you since you are in Texas..... Let us all go by queen2's prayer..I said a hearty Amen oooo |
