Mrreed: Thank you so much for this insight, really appreciate it. Sorry to bother you further, Is the Cworth batteries coupled with bms already? I would prefer a coupled lifepo4 ready to use battery for him as he's not a DIY person. |

I have a neighbour who is interested in solar because he saw how reliable my own system is, problem is that he has a lean budget (1.1m). @valto and other gurus in the house, can his budget setup a reliable 12v system with a lifepo4 battery+hybrid inverter+reasonably sized solar s? What would you recommend? My setup is a 24v system, and he can't afford that. Thank you |

iykepromotions: Hello Boss, is this domain a good name that i should renew: colorslot.com ? I don't know if i should renew as the renewal fee is $13. Thank you |

Good afternoon bosses, hope business is going fine. I ed the below names last year after training, and I only outsourced once, but didn't have much time for domaining again as I'm occupied with some other hustle. Below are the names: bostonkitchenremodeling/king chicagogarageconstruction/king lasvegascraneservices/king richmondcardetailing/king I don't plan to renew them as I do not have the fund nor time to outsource, is there a way I could put them up for sale like a bundle for a change? If not, whoever is interested should look out for them... Thanks |

Mjolnir: I can't the voc... I bought it from Techland solar. So far, I've gotten 1.7kw instantenous harvest (not as much as i was expecting), but I made a mistake of telling my installer to split the s at different side of the roofs (2 at the front and 3 by the side) I later read this could affect yield because of diff temperature and lighting... I don't know if I've used a separate mppt, I would be getting more yield... however, I'm satisfied with the current yield because it cover my needs at the moment. I have no source to see what my daily harvest is.. 1 Like |

TechGeek777: My battery is a Lifepo4, I do connect fridge and freezer while pumping at noon. My setup is 24v. 5*550w Canadian solar s, and my battery is 228ah (24v pack) lithium. I didn't do the connections myself, I have a close relative installer who did that. But I believe he connected earthing wire to the inverter, and it's the one made for the mains (even though I'm not connected to mains anymore, I'm fully offgrid). 2 Likes |

TechGeek777: Hi boss, the inverter is working great. No issue whatsoever. I'm using it to power my freezer and fridge (not inverters ones), 0.75 interdab submersible pump (during the day), lighting, fans, laptop and other small stuffs. However, I haven't gone over 50% load capacity yet since I've gotten it. 1 Like |

samir101ng: After in depth research, I've gone for the JBD. I realise I could just ask the JBD CS on aliexpress questions I might have bothering the bms installation. ![]() Total ordering cost = $84 |

samir101ng: Thank you boss. This Jiabaida (JBD) BMS looks complex (but interesting) to me compared to Daly. What's really confusing is the number of wires that came with it. The Daly for example came with the right amount of cable mouth (8s = 8 pieces of cable to attach to the battery) which seems pretty straightforward. I am expecting a 24v battery setup which will use a BMS 8s, where will the rest of the wires go assuming I'm using a JDB BMS? I have attached a screenshot of the wire that I'm referring to. Additionally, does the balancer that comes with the JBD means I won't need to worry about my Cells not having a balanced charge out of the box, meaning that once I use JBD bms, it will balance them automatically, and I won't have to worry about looking to balance the cells before setting them up? Kindly enlighten me on these... Thanks! Edited: Also boss, from the little research I've carried out, I want to ask if it's necessary to top balance the lifepo4 cells when you buy them from 3.2v to let's say 3.5-3.6v? Would the output performance became worse overtime if I didn't? Because I noticed that to top balance a battery, you need a power source that needs to run for hours (if not days depending on the cell capacity you have), set to a certain amps, and I noticed that this needs to be done by someone that knows what they are doing in order not to fry the battery by overcharging them. Some videos I watched even claimed that the active top balancer that comes with bms is not entirely reliable... @ojesky @valto Kindly help share your thoughts on this. Thanks

samir101ng: Thank you for all the great insights you listed above boss, I really appreciate them. Concerning the s, I couldn't find any official info about the Yingli distributors online when I use Google search. Kindly help share it if you have it. I want to ask them about the prices and see may be I will be buying the s in small quanties of 2 pieces or more depending on my pocket each month. Thanks once again... |

ojeysky: Thank you boss, I'm planning to setup a 24v system with the batteries, so I know I will need to buy a new 24v inverter. The problem is that I don't know which brand of inverter to buy yet that is not too expensive but reliable (the Microtek I bought developed fault within 6 months of usage) and the capacity that's ideal for my setup... Also whether to buy inverter first or be buying s one by one. Might I add that I currently have #200k to invest this month towards the project, so I want to invest it wisely... Thank you |

I hail and thank all the bosses in the house, and I appreciate the immense effort of everyone helping we the newbies. I currently have a 12v setup, which includes: 2 x 100ah lead acid 4 x 100w s 12v 1050 microtek inverter (it doesn't charge with grid anymore, only from solar s. It used to charge from both source when it was first installed last year Oct). Now, I planning to upgrade, and people around me said the battery is the first component that one needs to acquire, so I ordered 8 pieces of CATL130ah from Alibaba which I'm expecting to be delivered around Dec/January. I plan to be getting the other materials needed little by little because funds are not readily available. I need help on what to focus on getting next which is very important and can help with my system. And I also need the best setup recommendation to get the optimum output functionality from the batteries. I currently have a load of around 1020 watts: (1 TV, 1 fridge, 1 laptop, 1 ps4, 2 qasa rechargeable fans, 1 OX fan (rated 150w) and several light bulbs (security light included)) and I hope to get a freezer in the future. I'm planning to buy all components one by one (depending on my financial capability) and then call an installer to help with it as my knowledge is not enough to DIY at the moment. Thank you... 1 Like |
