For pete sake @ op, this is a normal ritual in most fed universities in 9ja, here in SA its similar also you go drinking or partying with classmates even at dis post graduate level so, let's put it down as a culture. its morality is subjective, I enjoyed the after feeling of being a graduate in october 2012, I even had oil, eggs and paint to wash off my braided hair in Ekosodin. The morning after I woke up at 3am and burnt all photocopied materials, t'was fun. CHEERS TO THAT SHORT TIME OF FREEDOM FROM LECTURERS |

I stopped dying the ones on my head in JSS2 when my mathematics teacher said, I'll be better looking without the unnecessary black stains on my precious unique hair. Told me he was 52 yet without white hair and as such, I should treat everyone as unique, even myself. I'm under 25 and I'm proud of the rich blend of hairs I have with a face that bellies my real age.

@op In my own view these aren't the real heroes b'cos they didn't treat the index case because he had Ebola, but because he was ready to pay his bills and they didn't know he had Ebola initially. To me I'll rather commend the doctors at the quarantine centre in Yaba who risked all was left of the life God had given to them to come and tend for these ones. They are MY real heroes, they fought Ebola for Nigeria but First Consultant staff fought Ebola for their LIFES. I'll always respect their tenacity in the struggle but they are taking the shine from some others. |

@ op, All you need to do is to create a friendly environment for friendship to blossom. Get him talking in an environment comfortable for him and an open topic first. Then you can have a reason for another conversation the next day, and that's how it starts. Even if its asking him why he seems too quiet or asking him what he thinks about the last lecturer that didn't come. Just try to occupy his 2 minutes free time when he seems alone. |
