There are about 2 in UI - go to school of global studies near Idia hall, you'll find tutors there.

Hello beautiful people.

Does anyone know a German language school or tutor in Ibadan?

Many thanks.

Bro.

I recognize your moniker from the PTDF thread. I see you got in for the FGC category, congrats.

I think it best that you let folks here know that your 'case' is very different; the way you applied, how you got the funding and the ission, and how you will get your visa. PTDF-DAAD will literally do everything for you.

I am saying this 'cos I am certain peeps will start asking you questions. This is to preclude the confusion that might stem from your answers.

Gentlemen, in as much as I do not labelling him 'evil', he is obviously not the nicest person.

And he is not preparing us for anything like you asserted, nor is he acting on instructions.

As a matter of fact, I can emphatically say he is doing a whole lot on his own accord, which is outrightly absent in his job description.

Do not be surprised if some VOs rearrange your docs during your interview. Some of the docs he took as germane while attending to you might even be deemed unnecessary by the VOs. There are a lot of cases like that abound.

Germans generally have a great deal of respect for punctuality and efficiency, that is why the consulate have no problem with him.

My advice to all is to be well prepared before going, observe due diligence and you will be fine.

It's just his person, I'm certain he can't help it too. Just save yourself the stress by doing the needful before going.

Peace.

Kenthumphz:

And you are mentioning God in your hate speech. That's how you will go there and meet many like him and call them wicked.

Please the man is not wicked. He is just preparing you for what to come. He only does as instructed.

Peace

Bro.

You got provisional ission with RAship without GRE and TOEFL?

Or did I misconstrue your post?

Kindly elucidate bro.

Ezehrobinson:
Thank you Lord.
Finally got to the last page; i sha skipped some of the pages oo, i can't fit kee myself.

I have always dreamed of going back to academics over the years. Life happened to me and i derailed into an unrelated field and after 3 years, the much awaited opportunity presented itself.

I got provisional ission at Ohio State with full funding plus RA position. The stuff needed to seal the deal is GRE and TOEFL. Prior to march, i didn't know jack about these exams but man gat take am. I consulted some of my friends and as God may have it, one of them was a major contributor to this platform and he punished me by requesting i go through the thread from the very beginning, hian. I sha don try.

I thing i have come to realize about this exam like other is that it requires one having the right resources, information, zeal and time. If any of these is missing, i don't think one gonna hit target.

I have decided to takeout one month to do intensive study. Below is my strategy

1. Do the diagnostic test on Powerprep
2. Get the Magoosh 30 days study schedule
3. 10 hours study per day
4. My resource for Quant will be Manhattan 8 series, 5lb and Official guide by ETS
5. For verbal, Manhattan for RC and SE, the andriod app stuff for vocab building and Manhattan 500
6. The Magoosh video is a must see.
7 Kaplan for AW
8. Magoosh (my one month go expire 19th June). God may raise a good Nigerian to epp me with one

Please, if there is any essential material I missed out, assist identifying.
So, that's it. let the chase for Spring 2019 begin

Thanks to progenitor of this thread. I owe you guys alot and will repay this altruistic gesture by referring other peeps in need

Exactly.

Alright. Thank you. I have ission letter from the school as well, so you are saying the ission letter is enough to get my documents certified for the school right?
AlphaPen(m): 10:36pm On May 28, 2018
University of Bonn, Goettingen, Hannover are the free schs that are big in that field.

University of Hohenheim is big as well but charges 1500euros.

You will however need to check for their deadlines for this winter.

If their deadlines have elapsed, you're in luck, as the DAAD will sponsor most of these agric and forestry related courses for next year's winter.

Do acquaint yourself with info from the schs' websites.

Best wishes.

Goettingen asked for such as well.

I used my provisional ission letter. The consulate approved it and certified the documents.

If you do not have a provisional ission letter, write the school to issue you a document that will be tenable for the purpose of notarization at the consulate.

ubsilas:
Good evening guys,
please i need your help, i just booked for certification of documents to be sent to my school. I have already gotten ission but the school requested for certified copies of Transcript and Degree Certificate. One of the requirements by the embassy states 'original application form (completed and signed)', please which of the application form are they referring to? or is it meant for only those still applying to schools for ission?

Danke smiley

I'm sorry about that man.

I believe something better awaits you ahead. None of these is your fault apparently.

Bro, If that was all you were asked ,then u are a super lucky person .....

MY OWN CASE WAS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS WITHIN THE SAME UI. (UI used 3 s today)

From my own personal experience , the interview has no standard pathern .....you could be asked anything .......

below are my experience today at UI, IBADAN (Msc) .....

1. after i introduced myself .....immediately they learnt i was from the EAST ( IGBO ORIGIN) , they waited for like 2 mins and started murmoring to each other in Hausa language ....(All of the 5 persons that made up the were Hausas).

2. i was not asked a single question from my SOP ....they didnt even open it ....nor cared about it.

3. All the questions i was asked were deep, tough and technical (Civil engineering questions ) my 1st degree course .
( one of them is a Prof of Civil Engineering ) ....NOTE : THIS IS OUTSIDE THE CONTEXT OF THE INTERVIEW....recall that from the invitation letter, we were only told to make a presentation of our Statement of Purpose .......This is very unfair to me .

4. i was asked up to 10 questions ......and my interview lasted up to 25min . ( while others were asked barely 2 questions from their SOP ...with a max interview duration of 4min)

5. I was asked several questions about my projecf work .....and when i explained the title and summary to them......they nullified it ...simply because it was not an oil and gas related project topic .....despite how best i tried to convince them ...that it was just an undergraduate project ..and must not be oil and gas related.

6. i was even given some tough and complex calculations to do (structural analysis of indeterminate structures.....and i was not even allowed to solve , i was told to produce the answer without solving ......which was practically impossible ......i told them the steps to solve it ....they nullified it...insisting i must produce the answer.

7. And one of them kept shouting "you dont even have any publication ".......( i didnt know when it became a compulsory for an undergraduate to have research publications)

8. And two others kept asking "what state are you from ".......

MY CONCLUSION : PTDF is dominated by the Northerners and they are BITTERLY BIASED .....they seems to appear harsh on some persons from a particular part of the country .

Using a WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST to assess everyone would have been fair to all the applicants and not this Biased method of interview where some are barely asked 1 simple question in (1) and some others will be bombarded with very rigorous questions that is outside the context of the interview ... This is one of the major reason why Nigeria is a failed state..........NEPOTISM AND TRIBALISM .....

Somebody asked for the specific questions I was asked in the other group, so I thought to share my reply.

I thought my earlier post captured everything 'cos it was all about the SOP.

"The questions were about the SOP.

The relevance of your MSc to the oil and gas industry.

How your Msc would contribute to your career goals.

What you intend to do after your Msc.

Why you want to do the Msc.

They are all essential things the SOP covers, they just want to be sure you wrote it and know what you are doing.

Best wishes."

Hello ambitious youths.
I did mine today at UI. It was for MSc.

I was ushered in and told to submit all my docs. There was a four-man and I was seated at the center, making us form some sort of semi-circle.

It was intense I must say. I was bombarded with questions from every corner but I was prepared. My deduction is that, they just wanted to test my readiness. If you wrote your SOP yourself and it's relevant to the Oil sector, you will be fine.

That was my experience.

However, I found out from other applicants that they were interviewed by a two-man , in the same UI. They even said it was more of a chat or rendezvous.

Imagine the contrast as against my experience. So, it boils down to grace. Pray and be ready.

And , whatever is meant for you will never you by.

Best wishes fam.

Let's meet at the top.
