Just read a fascinating article about the glory days of the Benin Empire. Her walls stood four times as tall as the Great Wall of China. That's 20 metres! But, as part of its conquest of this great civilization, the British Empire blew up those walls and looted the Kingdom's antiquities. The disregard for the preservation of history. The flagrant manipulation of a people's story. Think of the billions of Tourism dollars we could never earn (like China). CC: OurTruth |

Yes, you will. They know that. Your Interviewer is anything but a deluded fool. So, in replying hypothetically, be brave enough to say you continue to seek better opportunities for growth. And should a greater offer come along, you'll be sure to alert your current employers and give sufficient time to find your replacement. Oh and throw in a bit of generosity; you'd be thrilled to train your replacement before you resign. 30 Likes 1 Share |

Commonfolk are up in arms against Governments world over. At least one country on every continent on the planet has had to grapple with citizens taking to the streets in protests and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Is 2024 some sort of awakening? Notable mentions: 1. Maduro's Venezuela - South America 2. Anti-government/ Anti-migration/ Anti-Islam protesters in the UK - Europe 3. Barcelona's lost love for Tourists, Spain - Europe 4. Pro-Palestinian rallies in the US - North America 5. #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, need I list more? - Africa 6. #EndQuotaSystem extremely violent protests in Bangladesh - Asia All eyes on the Australian Continent... |

Update: Quit porn and masturbation in the same stride. If not for anything else but because by it you evolve into a man who: A). Is altruistic to all yet comfortable enough to say "No" to any woman's (or man's) silly request. Her pretty face, blonde hair or race are inconsequential. B). Goes through life without anxiety and with a firm resolve to put in the work in his craft/ career for astounding results that are almost always sure to follow. |

So refreshing to see even the US has a long way to go, politically what with Biden mumbling nonsense and a confident Trump spewing falsehoods. My comment in no way endorses Nigeria's Political leaders. 18 Likes |

Enjoy this intense devotion and affection while it lasts. It's cute and irable and tragic all together. I'd also advise cultivating friendships on the side; one or two other guys with whom you grab beers and steak, say once a month. Just so you know, when this relationship ends you're gonna need 3 years of therapy. When this emotional dependency ends, you're gonna be so broken, so effing broken, it'd be a miracle if you made it through. But your (ex)girlfriend will recover alot faster than you do. Why? You're the one who was "changed". 25 Likes 4 Shares |

Is this trolling? I should hope not. Everyone says Nigeria is currently facing it's worst economic misfortune in generations. Staple commodities are beyond the financial reach of the common folk. I get my daily dose of updates here on Nairaland. But... I know two girls whose high-end fashion and beauty businesses are literally blowing up in Abuja and Lagos. They don't sell food which everyone says almost no one can afford. They sell wants not needs to girls upwards of 150k per unit and are still making a killing. So my question really is: Are only men experiencing this economic downturn? |

https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/8065322/avoid-telling-men-age-until OP clearly is yet to come to with the new reality. Marriage is losing its appeal world over. Where, decades ago, an unmarried 27-year-old girl must have been someone with an inexcusable character flaw, now women in their 20s are all-together refusing to be tied down by marriage. Why should they? There are no tangible incentives anymore: They make twice as much money as their male counterparts, their careers have taken off, social media use gives them validation to no end, society has largely normalised single-parenthood, and in today’s sex-crazed society a girl can make your annual pay-check on a single trip to Dubai/ Miami/ Abu-Dhabi. The very few women who accept to be partnered up are always in a haste to abandon ship. Face it, Jeromestarks, we have created a society where women see no real benefits in putting up with men and their shenanigans. Your Evening Newspapers (27 and above) are simply settling for a lifetime without you. |
