Heard you can order for free through This process This is actually for GCMS notes via CBSA - Go to Google, search ATIP - Pick the first option from the list of results - when the page opens, click on next - click/mark the privacy box and click continue - on the next page, select Canada Border Services Agency from the drop-down - from the next drop-down, select foreign national outside of Canada - fill out your required information in the boxes below (Use your Nigerian address and phone number pls) - Pick yes to the question about requesting information on your behalf if so - pick member of the public for the category that best describes you - Pick electronic copy for how you prefer to receive your notes/records - click continue - on the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down - select English in the next drop-down - select case files for the type of records - fill out all necessary information below(for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX) - in the comment box write a short intro and your request. Eg: Hello/Hi My name is SURNAME, First Second. I have applied for a study permit, my UCI is soso and my application number is soso, DOB. I would like to have the notes for my file - then click continue - also click continue on the next page(you don't fill anything here) - you are taken to the final page where you review or edit your info - check the I certify box and click continue - you should receive a confirmation email from CBSA I use that format to order for my note on 2nd of Feb and my note came in just now.. So u can actually order for ur note free of charge Elfortunato: 1 Like |

It could be a good step. However, I did the same when I applied for gcsm notes in Jan 24 and got it this last week. Nothing much was there as eligibility has not started. So, only medical, criminality etc were seen . We applied 28th October. We are still waiting for the sowp as well

I suggest you order your note both paid and free notes in case one is delayed. The notes will tell you what is the exact reason. This reason seem too generic. I ordered my wife's note a month ago. It arrived today, the paid one. Application still ongoing. Eligibility has not started yet but all other seems good but no visa officer comment yet given that eligibility has not been reviewed. Ok, we have similar timeline except that our medical was updated on 1st Feb. Nothing else after that time. It is frustrating honestly. Ogbigog: |

No, I didn't see anything like that. Destination is unspecified. Ogbigog: |

yes, that is the point. We have different scenarios. I have been studying in Canada before now. Just planning to bring my spouse to Canada after we recently got married. All documents were submitted during her application but we have included the updated transcripts and confirmation of enrollment after their email. Jeboy: |

Thank you. We already responded with updated documents they mentioned in the email the next day. The medical was updated that same they they sent the email and we are now waiting for a positive decision. I'm certain it will turn out well by God's grace. How long after their email did they give you the decision? Did you send them the updated documents they requested? Jeboy: |

What does this mean? Do they need additional documents or until they specifically ask? Good day, Thank you for your email enquiry and ing the Migration Section. In response to your email enquiry below, kindly note that this application is in queue for processing, and will be processed according to the receipt date. Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached, or, if deemed appropriate, to request additional information. To help facilitate your application when an officer reviews it, please forward one of the following, depending on your situation: LMIA/LMIA-exempt work permits: an updated copy of your letter of offer showing that your employer still intends to hire you. Accompanying spouse of a student: evidence of your spouse’s enrollment at an eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI), and their most recent transcripts. Accompanying spouse of a skilled worker: evidence of your spouse’s employment (i.e., letter of offer and paystubs), and a copy of their complete job description. Post Graduate Work Permit Applicants: updated final transcripts from an eligible DLI, and a copy of your degree (if not previously provided) Note that continually emailing requesting the status of your application will not result in expedited processing. |

Hi everyone, We called IRCC from inside Canada on Friday with my spouse on the phone with me so as to give authority to release personal information related to her sowp application. The agent would not tell us exactly what was happening to her application just the basic things we know on the portal, nothing different. They told us that we will have once the visa officer is done with it and that they can't tell us as agent. However, we asked about which center is looking at the application and they told us Primary is RROC , that is the Rapid Response Operation Center and the secondary is Nairobi office. My question is what does our application being at the RROC mean? Application submitted 28th October with upfront medical which has not be treated. Biometrics ed November 10th. Anyone else experienced this Primary RROC and secondary Nairobi thing before. This is tiring. |

Yes, we applied 28th October. No update at all. Just Biometrics ed. sunwintrav: |

It is not entirely correct. It is a choice to submit a medical alongside your application, such medical is called upfront medical. However, if you decide to not submit it when you make your application, you will have to wait until ircc ask of it themselves. People submit upfront as a choice because it is assumed it makes your application faster because you don't have to wait for ircc to ask for it. It is already part of your submitted application documents. I hope this helps. Urrch: 2 Likes |

Thank you for your response. Amen. We hope so too for soon. It's becoming worrisome. We spoke with ircc agent on phone yesterday and they told us to be patient that it it 11 weeks average processing time and it is mid January We will be past that time before they can take action. Yes, we submitted my transcripts, confirmation of enrollment from Registrar etc. We just don't want excuse and gave them almost all that relate to my education to prove I'm currently enrolled. We hole for a positive outcome soon. Did you do upfront medical and when did they process it? Ours is still not processed yet. Greatestmind144: |

Looking forward to answer to your 1st question too. A dedicated WhatsApp or telegram for sowp applicants. My spouse applied 26th October too. We have not heard anything apart from the biometric. Medical was done upfront and yet to be evaluated. Hello Guys, Pls is there a WhatsApp group for SOWP. 2ndly I applied for SOWP since Sept 24th 2023 and haven't gotten any response from IRCC. What might be the issue. Thanks[/quote] |

Good day everyone, Please, my wife received this email (same as what I received last week in my email). She applied for sowp and we spoke with ircc last week to grant me authorization to release details of her application to me. We filled the form IMM5475 which we also filled when she submitted the application but they keep saying this. Please see below. "Thank you for ing Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). We have received your request to add the Release of Information to an Individual (IMM5475) form, however, we are unable to process it since some information is missing and requires further clarification. In order to assist you, please a newly completed form via the IRCC Web form. Ensure to select the option about a representative". What do they mean by "information is missing and requires further clarification"? Because we filled the form correctly twice now but we don't know why they can't process the form. Anyone ever got this and how did you resolve it. Thanks. 1 Like |

Sorry about your experience. How big is it? I think Adobe website can resize to a very small size without losing quality. For instance if you have a size of 10mb, you can still get the smallest size of about 3mb. I don't expect you would have excessively big size that can't be reduced. To use Adobe, search Google with Compress pdf. You will find Adobe among the options. If you don't have an , you nay not be able to . So create a free with them. NB: Features are limited per day. Usually a compression per day until another day. Sojiflex001: |

Please for the SOWP, the document checklist IMM5914e, did you submit it and how did you fill it. There is a section for live-in caregivers. Do we have to fill it? Thank you. nnamdi346: |

Hi guys, I need some clarity on sowp. My husband is a student in Canada and I intend to apply for sowp now. I am using a 4000 CAD gift deed from my mum as POF. To use this approach , do I need to submit mum's bank statement after my own bank statement, notarized letter of deed of gift? Has anyone gotten approved recently using gift deeds without including the deed givers bank statement? Thank you very much. |
