It could be a good step. However, I did the same when I applied for gcsm notes in Jan 24 and got it this last week. Nothing much was there as eligibility has not started. So, only medical, criminality etc were seen . We applied 28th October. We are still waiting for the sowp as well

I suggest you order your note both paid and free notes in case one is delayed. The notes will tell you what is the exact reason. This reason seem too generic. I ordered my wife's note a month ago. It arrived today, the paid one. Application still ongoing. Eligibility has not started yet but all other seems good but no visa officer comment yet given that eligibility has not been reviewed.

Owanhero123:
My wife just got denied now
ragraph 200(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-200.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• Your proposed length of stay in Canada is inconsistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• : You do not qualify under the IMP as you provided insufficient information to demonstrate that your spouse is a full-time student in a qualifying program at a DLI in Canada.

We submitted all my school documents.
Gurus! Help us interpret the first and second reasons I don’t understand this people

[Please, which email did use and what was the emphasis of your email?

I sent to many email addresses on Thursday and Friday and didn't get any response yet. October 28th application medical was ed on 1st February. No update since again]

Thank you so much.
Yes i sent them the email. You really tried for me.🙏🙏
This was the email we ed based on the fact that Nairobi is the processing centre.

[email protected]

ianian:
What email did you use please?

AgEcon: 1:44am On Feb 06, 2024
Ok, we have similar timeline except that our medical was updated on 1st Feb.

Nothing else after that time. It is frustrating honestly.

Ogbigog:

Perhaps you should send your spouse’s recent transcript to them via webform.

AgEcon: 6:26pm On Feb 05, 2024
No, I didn't see anything like that. Destination is unspecified.

Ogbigog:

Are you able to see Destination, sponsor name and the rest he mentioned on your tracker too?

AgEcon: 2:13pm On Feb 05, 2024
yes, that is the point. We have different scenarios. I have been studying in Canada before now. Just planning to bring my spouse to Canada after we recently got married. All documents were submitted during her application but we have included the updated transcripts and confirmation of enrollment after their email.

Jeboy:
Our case was a bit different though.

My spouse got a year course as ission which was revoked after study permit was issued then we appealed until another 2 years course was given later.

I applied before my spouse left so only few basics documents like fees, PPR, Stamp page were submitted.

When she got there, I now submitted more documents like Stiudy/Coop permit, student ID, student Enrolment (not official) to them but the latter isision documents submitted were different from the initial Acceptance letter ission with different years of completion. I think that is where sparked issues with IRCC.

Instead of IRCC to request for the change in ission they will just give refuse you with insufficient reason.

Now I have reapplied explaining our scenarios.

One way to know your application is going well is to check your tracker, you should see your spouse name on your profile as sponsor with destination, length of sponsorship and relationship stated.

Once you can see this, your application is on course. I didn't see this in my 1st Application but am seeing it now and it's critical part of eligibility process where they allocated the same length of visa of your spouse to you.

AgEcon: 11:15pm On Feb 04, 2024
Thank you. We already responded with updated documents they mentioned in the email the next day. The medical was updated that same they they sent the email and we are now waiting for a positive decision. I'm certain it will turn out well by God's grace.

How long after their email did they give you the decision? Did you send them the updated documents they requested?

Jeboy:
You are sitting on gun powder, that's the response I got before a denial.

Attach your spouse letter of acceptance, official letter of Enrolment confirmation as well as Transcript to date both signed by the school Registrar, class schedule, student ID and any other school registration.

Without the above, you may be denied.

You are lucky I am telling you, I never got this advantage.

AgEcon: 6:22am On Feb 01, 2024
What does this mean? Do they need additional documents or until they specifically ask?
Good day,

Thank you for your email enquiry and ing the Migration Section.

In response to your email enquiry below, kindly note that this application is in queue for processing, and will be processed according to the receipt date.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached, or, if deemed appropriate, to request additional information.

To help facilitate your application when an officer reviews it, please forward one of the following, depending on your situation:

LMIA/LMIA-exempt work permits: an updated copy of your letter of offer showing that your employer still intends to hire you.
Accompanying spouse of a student: evidence of your spouse’s enrollment at an eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI), and their most recent transcripts.
Accompanying spouse of a skilled worker: evidence of your spouse’s employment (i.e., letter of offer and paystubs), and a copy of their complete job description.
Post Graduate Work Permit Applicants: updated final transcripts from an eligible DLI, and a copy of your degree (if not previously provided)

Note that continually emailing requesting the status of your application will not result in expedited processing.

Hi everyone,

We called IRCC from inside Canada on Friday with my spouse on the phone with me so as to give authority to release personal information related to her sowp application. The agent would not tell us exactly what was happening to her application just the basic things we know on the portal, nothing different. They told us that we will have once the visa officer is done with it and that they can't tell us as agent.

However, we asked about which center is looking at the application and they told us Primary is RROC , that is the Rapid Response Operation Center and the secondary is Nairobi office.

My question is what does our application being at the RROC mean? Application submitted 28th October with upfront medical which has not be treated. Biometrics ed November 10th.

Anyone else experienced this Primary RROC and secondary Nairobi thing before. This is tiring.

Good morning, you stated u applied october 28th for SOWP, I hope you have response now?
I apply 18th of october but still no update till now. .

i await for your response.
AgEcon: 8:28pm On Jan 06, 2024
It is not entirely correct. It is a choice to submit a medical alongside your application, such medical is called upfront medical. However, if you decide to not submit it when you make your application, you will have to wait until ircc ask of it themselves. People submit upfront as a choice because it is assumed it makes your application faster because you don't have to wait for ircc to ask for it. It is already part of your submitted application documents.

I hope this helps.

Urrch:
Greetings Guys,

Please do I need to have my medical done before I submit my SOWP visa application?

My agent is insisting I must have my medicals done before the embassy can proceed with my application.

Thank you for your response. Amen. We hope so too for soon. It's becoming worrisome. We spoke with ircc agent on phone yesterday and they told us to be patient that it it 11 weeks average processing time and it is mid January We will be past that time before they can take action.

Yes, we submitted my transcripts, confirmation of enrollment from Registrar etc. We just don't want excuse and gave them almost all that relate to my education to prove I'm currently enrolled. We hole for a positive outcome soon.

Did you do upfront medical and when did they process it? Ours is still not processed yet.

Greatestmind144:
October 5, all the details above too were submitted except for transcripts. I think they are just been funny, can’t they reach out to the school to confirm. A lot of guys got this recently from SOWP applications. I pray yours will be successful

Looking forward to answer to your 1st question too. A dedicated WhatsApp or telegram for sowp applicants.

My spouse applied 26th October too. We have not heard anything apart from the biometric. Medical was done upfront and yet to be evaluated.

Hello Guys, Pls is there a WhatsApp group for SOWP. 2ndly I applied for SOWP since Sept 24th 2023 and haven't gotten any response from IRCC. What might be the issue.

Good day everyone,

Please, my wife received this email (same as what I received last week in my email). She applied for sowp and we spoke with ircc last week to grant me authorization to release details of her application to me. We filled the form IMM5475 which we also filled when she submitted the application but they keep saying this. Please see below.

"Thank you for ing Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have received your request to add the Release of Information to an Individual (IMM5475) form, however, we are unable to process it since some information is missing and requires further clarification.

In order to assist you, please a newly completed form via the IRCC Web form. Ensure to select the option about a representative".

What do they mean by "information is missing and requires further clarification"? Because we filled the form correctly twice now but we don't know why they can't process the form.

Anyone ever got this and how did you resolve it.

Thanks.

Sorry about your experience.

How big is it?

I think Adobe website can resize to a very small size without losing quality. For instance if you have a size of 10mb, you can still get the smallest size of about 3mb.

I don't expect you would have excessively big size that can't be reduced.

To use Adobe, search Google with Compress pdf. You will find Adobe among the options. If you don't have an , you nay not be able to . So create a free with them.

NB: Features are limited per day. Usually a compression per day until another day.

Sojiflex001:

Don’t know about resizer app until now.
I submitted all these documents u mentioned though under international port segment as I earlier mentioned.

I am thinking too along that line of merging all the documents together but with what application cos they are very big.

Hi Everyone,

Please for the SOWP, the document checklist IMM5914e, did you submit it and how did you fill it. There is a section for live-in caregivers. Do we have to fill it?

Thank you.

nnamdi346:

If the primary applicant has been granted the visa, the chances of getting the SOWP is almost 90% so long as you provide the required POF, proof of relationship with the primary application, do not misrepresent, demonstrate your work experience, etc.

A successful primary applicant means he/she has already proven to have strong hometies and as a spouse, your stay in Canada is technically tied to the primary applicant. However, I still included some of the hometies my wife used e.g. properties, job in Nigeria, parents/siblings back home etc...

Also, I used my portal.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your explanation.

OkukuOne:
Securing a notarized letter of invitation for a spouse in Canada is a specific process designed to meet the stringent requirements of Canadian immigration authorities. To accomplish this, one must start by drafting a formal Invitation Letter to the spouse, meticulously including essential details like the spouse's information, financial arrangements, trip specifics, and information, including mobile numbers and the Canadian address. Once the letter is carefully composed, it must undergo notarization, a crucial step in the procedure. This entails a visit to a notary public or a commissioner of oaths, who will validate your identity, witness your signature on the letter, and may request additional identification documents. The notary will then affix their seal and signature to the document, enhancing its authenticity. Following notarization, the letter should be scanned and transmitted to the spouse, regardless of their current residence or location of application.

In summary, securing a notarized invitation letter for a spouse's visit to Canada involves a systematic approach. It commences with the creation of a formal letter containing comprehensive spouse details, financial information, travel specifics, and data. Subsequently, the letter is subjected to notarization through a notary public or commissioner of oaths, where the notary verifies your identity, witnesses your signature, and provides their seal and signature to the letter. The document's notarization ensures its legal credibility, after which it can be digitally transmitted to the spouse, regardless of their residence or application location.

Good luck!

Hi guys,

I need some clarity on sowp.

My husband is a student in Canada and I intend to apply for sowp now. I am using a 4000 CAD gift deed from my mum as POF. To use this approach , do I need to submit mum's bank statement after my own bank statement, notarized letter of deed of gift?

Has anyone gotten approved recently using gift deeds without including the deed givers bank statement?

Thank you very much.
