What is the governor doing about this? Isn’t this the reason Akeredolu formed the amotekun? Aren’t they meant to protect the vast forests of the state, so criminal elements cannot hide? Shouldn’t these criminals be fished out? The governor should do better. |

She left him and had another partner and returned to him. And this is the mistake he made: he took her back. Biggest mistake of his life. He reduced his worth in her eyes. She cannot respect such a man. I hope he realises that this is where he went wrong. 2 Likes |

Any man who thinks he is capable of forgiving a cheating woman will quickly learn that it is not a mark of strength. You are manipulating yourself on her behalf. And you see that strength you think you have, she will test it for you and it will fail. |

Right in the governor’s backyard. A shame. |

Obi was an unimpressive governor. His own people criticised his below average performance. That was a fact, until the recent whitewashing he received (as a form of tribal ) while running for presidency. Suddenly he is a sterling example today. Lol. Politics in Nigeria is tribal. 37 Likes 3 Shares |

Which assembly ? The ones Tinubu has just suspended? They don’t even realise they are victims. Imagine. Pledging to an nobody voted for. The people of rivers state have no one representing them in their own state. |

The silence of other governors is really loud. They should reject this move by Tinubu. You can’t wake up one day and remove a governor. If the pipelines are not safe, sack the company you hired to protect them and station soldiers there. OBJ started this. Look at where we are today. An Illegality that goes unchecked will become a practice. 2 Likes |

Nigerian Christians, especially those in the APC have set a precedent. They allowed a terrible thing happen. There is no way a Christian-Christian ticket can win in Nigeria. But they foolishly allowed this to fly. This is just the beginning of more assaults on the appearance of fair representation. They have opened the gates. Next will be a Northern Northern ticket and it will win. |

Wallade: If she wants to be the last to face this, the ball is in her court. If the Senate adopt a new rule that empowers the chief whip to actually flog a member who offends the senate president, it still cannot be enforced. Why? Because it is unconstitutional. Same way the senate president cannot deny Natasha’s constituents their constitutionally guaranteed right to be represented. You can’t deprive them of a voice in the House. Senators who have gone on suspension in the past did it for political reasons, but not because the suspensions were actually enforceable. |

Wallade: If she challenges the suspension in court, she will win. |

All senators are equal. But they have to choose a member to lead as president. First among equals. It is therefore an aberration for the senate president to deny Nigerians of their representation at the National Assembly by suspending an elected lawmaker. You cannot suspend someone you didn’t appoint. She needs to challenge the legality of any House rules which give “powers” to the senate leadership to remove or suspend a member as a form of discipline. cr7lomo: Wallade: I don’t think you guys can read properly. Any rule or regulation can be challenged in court as long as the plaintiff thinks it is unconstitutional. Each Senator has the constitutional right to sit in the House. Her presence there as a Senator is not dependent on any senate leader. It only depends on the will of the voters who put her there. 4 Likes |

Rubbish. One of those who planned the coup wrote a book on it titled “why we struck”. The other decision makers died before they could tell their story. This surviving member (Ademoyega) wrote his book to set the record straight because of the inaccuracies and outright lies published by people who were far from the inner circle of the coup plotters. People like Obj. Now Babangida itted that his views cannot be relied upon since he witnessed the coup from afar. But he still went ahead to write his distortion because he knew it would stir up controversy. Another mischievous inaccurate of the coup was written by Achebe. He couldn’t even mask the bias in his story. If you need an authentic of the planning of the coup, it is best to read from the only member of the inner circle who survived the war. 3 Likes |
