"Quique is a man of great integrity and it was clear how much he
wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately results have dictated
our decision," said chairman and chief executive Scott Duxbury.
"The appointment of a new head coach is imminent, and with nearly
two-thirds of the season remaining, we will provide all the
necessary to make the coming months successful."
Flores, who presided over a creditable 2015-16 campaign, only
returned to Vicarage Road in September after more than three years
away.
He replaced Javi Gracia after a slow start to the season but was
unable to rectify poor results.
The former Valencia and Atletico Madrid boss took charge of 12
games in all competitions for two wins, four draws and six defeats,
including the humiliating 8-0 loss to Manchester City.
"It’s sad because if I can help the team I suffer, I suffer for the fans, I
suffer for the players and I suffer for the owner of course,” he told
reporters after Saturday's defeat.
“It’s the way I chose, I can’t do anything for that. I would regret if they
came to my house and they said: ‘you can help us’ and I stay there.
This is not me, it’s not my character. If I stay in my comfort zone it’s
not me. I came here and I’m trying and fighting a lot, although the
circumstances are bad for us.”
Former Newcastle United and Brighton boss Chris Hughton is

The Nigeria police force has filed charges against a governorship aspirant in the Osun State election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, at the Federal High Court in Abuja. The charges against the Senator include examination malpractice, aiding and abetting, impersonation, and criminal conspiracy.

On 21st July 2017, the Osun State Police Intelligence Bureau (SIB) received and acted on an actionable intelligence about an ongoing examination malpractice involving Senator Ademola Adeleke and Sikiru Adeleke at OJO/Aro Community Grammar School in Osun state.

When the Police operative arrived at the school, only Sikiru Adeleke was found seated for the examination while Senator Ademola Adeleke seat was vacant and was suspected to have escaped before the arrival of the Police operatives.

Further investigation revealed that both Senator Ademola Adeleke and his brother Sikiru Adeleke ed and were sitting for the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) 2017 as internal candidates impersonating students of the School at the ages of 57years and 42years respectively. This crime was facilitated by the principal of the school, and two other of staff of the school for which they are under investigation and being charged to court.

The Principal of the school, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau, the staff responsible for registration, Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo and a teacher Mr dare Olutope were arrested on 21 July 2017. Senator Ademola Adeleke was arrested on 27 July 2017 and Sikiru Adeleke was arrested on 8 August 2017.

Senator Ademola Adeleke made cautionary statement and itted that he ed for the 2017 NECO examinations as an internal student in the said school but he didn’t sit for the examination.

However, Police investigation revealed the following prima facie and culpability facts against Senator Ademola Adeleke and four (4) others.

i. Senator Ademola Adeleke made cautionary statement and itted that he ed for the 2017 NECO examinations as an internal student in the said school and did not sit for the examination but have a result from NECO with Seven (7) Credit and One (1) , a copy of which was obtained from NECO by the Police.

ii. The Ojo/Aro 2017 NECO, SSCE school photo album (School’s copy), with Senator Ademola Adeleke and Sikiru Adeleke Photographs in school uniforms in the said album, Senator Ademola Adeleke in the NECO 2017 Result obtained by the Police claimed that he was born on 12th June 1997 but in his statement to the Police, senator Ademola Adeleke wrote 13th May 1960 as his Date of Birth.
iii. The photographs of both Senator Ademola Adeleke and Sikiru Adeleke appearing side by side in the photo album have no NECO stamps on them.

Senator Ademola Adeleke and four others were arrested, investigated, granted bail and being charged to court. Charges of Examination Malpractice, Criminal Conspiracy, Personation, Breach of Duty, Aiding and Abetting against Senator Ademola Adeleke (PDP Governorship Aspirant in the 22nd September, 2018 Gubernatorial Election in Osun State) and four (4) others namely; MR Sikiru Adeleke, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau (Principal of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School, Egbedore LGA, Osun State), Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo (School Staff responsible for the registration of candidates for NECO), Mr Dare Olutope (School Teacher who facilitated the commission of the crime) have been filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja under the Examination Malpractice Act, CAP E15, 2004 today, Wednesday, 19th September, 2018.

Consequently, Senator Ademola Adeleke (PDP Governorship Aspirant in the 22nd September, 2018 Gubernatorial Election in Osun State) and four (4) others namely; MR Sikiru Adeleke, Alhaji Aregbesola Mufutau (Principal of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School, Egbedore LGA, Osun State), Mr Gbadamosi Thomas Ojo (School Staff responsible for the registration of candidates for NECO), Mr Dare Olutope (School Teacher who facilitated the commission of the crime) are hereby advised in their own interest to report to the Special Investigation , Force Headquarters, Abuja immediately for arraignment in court.

UNILAG Geology students trapped in Sango as their buses break down for hours, accuse management of risking their lives

Some Geology student of UNILAG have written in to splendormag this night to complain that they are currently stranded somewhere in Iyana Ipaja after their bus broke down as they are on their way from a field trip in Ilaro. They are blaming the school authority for showing a lackadaisically attitude.

Please, on behalf of Geology students of UNILAG, I want to notify you about of our dilema at the moment. We went on field trip in Ilaro, organised by the school. We went in the school buses. They were supposed to go with 4, but one of the buses was bad and we had to go with just 3 while some students had to stand in the bus throughout the journey. On getting to the place,we felt disappointed because the visit was meaningless to us as we didn't spend up to an hour before we started heading back to Lagos again. On our way back to Lagos just this night, one of the buses broke down in a lowly part around Sango. We got a Mechanic to fix it. Now, on getting to Iyana Ipaja, another bus broke down again. The sad thing is that it was only one lecturer who ed the students in one of the buses. The other lecturers were in their private fully air-conditioned cars. When one of the buses broke down, the other buses waited with just one lecturer with us while the other lecturers abandoned us there and went their ways. Since 8:10pm up till this moment(9:50pm), the lecturer left us in the bus with another person to look for a Mechanic at Iyana IPaja area. We couldn't find any Mechanic due to the rain. And It's only this lecturer commanding the 3 buses. The lecturer told us that we can't come out of the buses, so that people don't know exactly what's going on. He said he doesn't want of the public to make a news out of it. Some of us who parked our cars on the school premises before going to Ilaro in the school buses told the lecturer to allow us leave and get our cars from the school premises instead of waiting for this broken down bus to be fixed, the lecturer is now saying that we must write a letter of permission at the spot before we can leave. And we need to go home to our families. I'm a married woman, my children and husband are worried.

Some of my school mates here are telling me this is one of the most dangerous places in lagos which the police recently asked people to steer clear of at night. But here we are stuck there.

It's so sad that UNILAG is putting our lives in danger. Imagine being out at a place like this at this time of the night. Not even in Nigeria of nowadays that we hear about crimes everywhere. The Lagos Police PRO is already aware of this because I heard some of the students have called him. Please I want the public to know that should anything bad happens to us, UNILAG management is to blame. Thank you."

If you move Eva from her position i will stay at home and watch on television as she deserves much respect. To Mourinho i repeat again focus on tactics and winning, leave Eva to do her job, she was appointed and we won Champions League with her not you. ume: of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum have called on the Minister of Finance, who is also the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to resign her appointment if she knew she would not be able to adhere strictly with the Appropriation Act 2013.

They said the non-compliance with the revenue projections of the Federal Government 2013 Budget was also a direct breach of the provisions of the Appropriation Act, 2013.

These decisions were part of the resolutions of the Governor Rotimi Amaechi-led NGF, which met in Abuja on Tuesday evening.

States which were represented by their governors at the meeting were those of Rivers, Niger, Kwara, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Adamawa, Oyo, Lagos, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kano and Zamfara while deputy governors of Edo, Borno and Nasarawa states represented their governors.

The governors also called for the immediate dissolution of the Economic Management Team.
