It's usually 5 days, did you fill and email the toolkits with your evidence of deposit(Telex) to them.

Guys! God has indeed answered my prayers. Yesterday I said that I will get my collection mail today and indeed it happened. My story is this -

I had 2 Canada visa refusals, I was so confident that I would get the last one, that I took my study leave from work, meaning I practically resigned and started classes online which I did for 2weeks before the second refusal letter came from Canada.

Devastated does not even describe how I felt late September. I had spent my whole year chasing this study dream.

Long story short, I got a job offer Nov 1st, it’s fully remote and the pay is times 2 of what I was previously getting and now I have my Uk visa. The God of the 11th hour indeed showed up for me. My timeline is below:

School - York St John University
Conditional offer - Sept 29th
Unconditional - Oct 27th
CAS issuance - Nov 15th
Visa Application(Priority) - Nov 15th
Biometrics - Nov 16th
No NSF mail
Collection mail - Nov 24th
port picked up - Nov 24th

I give all glory to God and I thank the good people of Nairaland. You guys are simply amazing, I go through this thread everyday to get information and this was how I packaged my application and I met great friends here too along the way.

I got an unconditional offer today and it was stated that the discount will reflect on your CAS.

My own challenge is that POF wont be ready until 24 of Dec with is too close to January 10 when session will resume.

Can one resume after January 10.

Coming to Scotland (Glasgow or Paisley), to be exact. I arrived with my family 23rd of September. It was not easy settling down, thanks to a beautiful Nigerian family I met here on Nairaland. You will need a consent letter from the father of the child as part of your of your application. If the person is no more death certificate must be included. That's the requirement if you want to go with your baby, i hope this help. Best of luck.

My advice is to reschedule if you can, my sis in law was once in your shoe and was denied. It's a risky.

The U.S student visa is subjective. Nobody here can tell you how the interview will go and how the VO will look at your application. However, from the information you shared, there's high intent of migration all over your application. You are going for a 2-year master's and you want to take your wife and child with you. What is your reason for this decision? Why can't you go alone? These are some of the questions that will be ringing in consular's mind as he/she interview your family. Think about this: Your wife would be leaving her good job in Nigeria to stay with you in with a F2 visa in a country she's not allowed to work? From experience, it is not the best thing to do! However, you can try your luck!

So my wife has applied for a year Sabatical leave with pay for a duration of year with option of extending for another year or resume back after the first year.

Second reason why I will like to go with my family is because my wedding is just 8 months old and my child is also less than 8 months. So I will not like to depart for that long away from my family

For someone like me who have a good private business with SOA, planning to apply for for F1, F2 with my wife and my child. My wife work in an oil agency with good salary.

Is there any risk applying together, am good for masters and I have my private business with enough money to sponsor myself and my family.

Lastly, is it advisable to use my company statement of or I should use my own personal statement to the embassy.

Fam, Not a single document was checked and I went there armed with all my delivery details, zero balance, bank statements, certificates, etc

I want to appreciate Chibertha. I reaching out to her when I saw she had a similar situation as me and she gave me a very vital tip that helped me.

Finally, I’ll like to say that I’m not sure that enough emphasis is placed on HOW you fill your form. I think that a huge percentage of the decision to approve or refuse the visa has already been made by what your form and profile says. Don’t outsource it to anyone. Do it yourself. No one knows you better than you and when you’re not sure, ask questions and get it right on the form.

After all is said and done, the Grace of God is the most important factor. That day, as we stood on the queue hearing everyone get their interview done, the black VO (there were three of them that day and the other two were Caucasian) did not give anyone no matter what they said. I my heart beating so fast. So many refusals that day. I’m just thankful to God!!!
