Thanks for this. For someone with HND that's planning to come to turkey for Msc, can you recommend schools that accept HND for masters? Civil engineering to be precise. Thanks
Suspense12:
Hello guys, Merry Christmas!
I see a lot of information that can scare applicants here. Nevertheless, don't give up.
Turkey is such a nice place to live and study. I will be honest with you, no assurances on jobs especially if you want to do office work. But what most people do here is teaching and you must have some level of certification and a good CV to back it up.
On the sideline, if you are into buying and selling, Turkey is the best place to be. Things are very cheap here....food, clothes, transportation (to an extent) and life generally.
Housing cost- It is best for you to rent a shared apartment (staying with others in an apartment). In Istanbul, you can get apartments from around 10-40k Naira per month. Depending on if it's furnished or not!
Students benefit a lot from the cheap transportation if you have the student bus card...once you do a month subscription on it for around 2.5/3k, you will have the opportunity of having 200rides (bus, ferry, train, team)
Food is very cheap here especially if you do not mind eating their local food and also if you can cook your food yourself. Cooking in your house saves a lot of money!
School fees- Depends on the school you apply for. Public schools charge as low as $300 per session but a bit difficult to gain ission. Private universities can charge between $1.5k - $4k per session. It's easier to gain ission to any of the private universities....when searching, look for schools that do not require application fee (if you like free things like me).
Istanbul is big so when applying you have to consider nearness to where you want to stay. It doesn't make much sense if your school is 2hrs from your place, though it doesn't matter much these days that lectures are online.
Business side- if you are into merchandising, this is a good place to visit. There are so many markets in Istanbul- depending on what you want to buy and where you will get it cheaply. Electronics such as phones and TV can be a bit expensive, but other stuffs can be relatively cheap. You can get busy with sales of clothes, shoes, household accessories etc, if you are looking for a side hustle....it pays very well if you have buyers and people you can send to in Nigeria!
I wish you well in all your endeavours guys! For those in Istanbul and anyone wishing to come to Turkey, feel free to hit me up, I stay around Pendik. Would be nice to have friends around!

Please guys, is it reasonable or advisable to start this Canadian EE process without proof of funds? For someone that's hoping to get a sponsor while at it.

I'm not talking about undergraduate study, I mean Msc.
benji93:
Yes there are, but most of those require you to have had very high grades in your WAEC, or have taken SAT and gotten a decent grade in the math section especially.

$300 per session or semester?
Can someone with HND apply?
Phenomenal01:
Hi Kevin, Turkey is such a nice country to explore, live, work and study in.
As a matter of fact, there are public universities in Turkey where viable courses can be studied with as low as 300$.

Dear Applicant,
Your COVID-19 Loan application is approved. Click on the link https://covid19.nmfb.com.ng to accept offer and receive the fund in your .
uthlaw:
how do we get the approval link, can you help us!
|
Adeyinka112(m): 5:02pm On Nov 25, 2020 |
Tips: If you're yet to receive approval message, just copy and paste the approval link to your browser and check if it's been approved or not. I didn't receive any approval message up till now but I've been paid. My bro received his approval message on Friday and I was angry that mine wasn't approved. We decided to check mine using his link and I saw 280k approved. I was so happy.
We were both paid on Monday. Funny thing was I received alert but he didn't, when I told him that I've received, he checked his and the money was there.
And for the issue of defaulting loans affecting your chances of being paid, I highly doubt it. I have loans with sterling bank and fairmoney that's both defaulted but I was still paid.
My 2 cents

Please what's the way forward for someone with hnd who plans to study in China? What advice can you give and what level can one start from? Thanks
neduboo:
Do you want me to lie to you? No, I won't. I have no knowledge of applying through HND. But, if you have a post graduate diploma I think you stand a chance. Also you have to have a strong academic and research profile in order to be awarded a full scholarship

Absolutely! Thanks for the info.
wip7:
Yes at EMU, you can be itted into undergrad with HND, unless you have postgraduate diploma with your HND.
The level you will start with is based on your transcript. As a rule at EMU; transfer students must spend atleast 3 semester at EMU irrespective of which degree/diploma or levels you are coming from.
If you apply as a transfer student:
—-the courses you have taken will be matched with the courses we offer
——grades you obtained in each course will be matched
—-credit hours of each course will be matched. Example; if you had taken banking insurance course tag BIC305 and the credit in your school for this course is 2 credits and you scored less say C... if we have this course at EMU and the credit is 4; such course is likely not going to be transferred due to mismatch credits ... if you get A grade and credit is closer done other related course will be added to uplift it for it to be transferred.
In summary; in business undergraduate program we have like 45-48 courses which is divided into 5-6 courses per semester making total of 8 semesters for a 4-year undergrad program.
If only 25 courses are transferred for you from your transcript; then you will be left with about 13 courses which means 2 semesters, but the rule says you can’t spend just two semesters atleast 3; then you will need to take some extra courses to balance it.
I hope this is clear.
