Waec/neco is compulsory if you are using WES for ECA.Budget about 30k for waec
I think it's better you complete your masters and evaluate it for more CRS points..
If you have a foreign masters, you don't need WAEC, you just need them to access your foreign masters to get the points.

I saw two responses above. I agree with them and I don't think hernia surgery is a serious disease. You stated that there were no complications.

If you want to mention it to make you sleep better, you can go ahead. But it is not something you have to have ongoing treatment/monitoring for.

I had Hernia surgery and I told them, it didn't affect me.. Mine was 20 years ago, but they didn't look bothered about it and I ed my medical fine

STORY OF MIGRATION

After finishing my masters in the US in 2004, I struggled to get a job in the US, so I decided to come to Nigeria(Telecoms was hot cake then), but apply to Canadian immigration as backup. I prayed to God that my children would not be in a position where they would not be judged by the effort or skills but by their port. In fairness, Nigeria was not bad, except dealing with the usual social economic problems of Nigeria. I was on the application for years, God answered my prayers by allowing me the opportunity to give birth to them in the US (thankfully, Trump was not president at the time).

Anyway, just when they were processing applications for people of my month and year in Accra, the Conservative government in Canada came to power and said they should revamp the application process and those of use who have been on the application before 2008 (this was in 2011), should be cancelled and we had to reapply. I said to myself, "who wan go to their Country"(Na lie, I wan go), but I lost interest and took my Nigeria as my ride or die chick, afterall, my children have the what they need.

Fast forward a few years, and my wife's sister, said we should come visiting. She has been inviting us for years but I was convince my previous application would affect us getting a visiting visa. We decided to give it a try, after all they have come to meet us in the US once , Lo and behold, they gave us the visiting visa to Canada.

We went there for summer in 2018, and everyone was trying to convince me to migrate, or at least move my family there, but I was not convinced. After the disappointment a few years earlier, I was not kin. However, I had a younger cousin that I had been trying to convince to do it, for about 4 years, he has a sibling there and was ripe for the application age wise and all. So to be able to convince him, I decided to look at the application process. Guess what, I found out it was a lot more easier now than it was before. A Eureka moment came upon me, we could actually do this, it's not like Nigeria is getting any better. While I didn't think we were going to be scoring very high points, I decided we give it a shot, after all, the way I was looking at how my Nigeria was going, did not give me the confidence that it was on the right path and what did we have to loose. So I told my wife that we should try. She really was not keen, but she decided to do it anyway.

Now, you know when people say 40 is the new 20, well, not according to CIC, you might be young at heart, but you are still your age. Luckily Madam was younger so she became the Principal Applicant. We both had Masters, both foreign so we did not have to deal with WAEC and all, just went online to our prospective schools to send our results to WES. All our IELTS study materials we got from the internet, I did not attend any class (not sure why people do, but different strokes for different folks). I have to say British Council is purposely failing people on writing probably to make money from it, but who am I to judge. We entered the pool Nov 9th 2018, which CRS of 441. Now, if I believed in village people, I would have thought mine were after me, because all the draws before we entered were 440 or 441, all of a sudden, the figures went to 447, 445, nothing lower, the Jamaican in me was saying "wat a goan'?? Anyway, after the Dec 12th draw I had lost hope that I would be called in 2018, and was probably hoping for PNP, since the next draw would have been during the xmas break. On Dec 19th, my wife tells me we have a mail from them, I logged on to see we have an ITA, apparently they did draw before xmas which is unconventional from their usually every 2 weeks. The CRS draw dropped to the lowest it has been for 18 month 439. I jumped for joy like a man who won the lottery.

Immediately, I went into full swing. I went to IOM in Ikeja, only to find out they didn't open that day(365 days in a year and it had to be the day I wanted to book an appointment they went on the conference) the second hospital in Ikoyi was booked till March so I knew it was a NO-NO. I sent them an email of which they replied the next week and gave us a date of 15th of Jan, 2019 for the medical, so we made sure everything else was ok before then. Police report was easy, we drove to Alagbon and the policeman at the junction asked us what we wanted, we said police report, one of them entered the car and we went to get it. There is not real standard price, they size you up and call a price. I ended paying 8.5k, though I had bargained it to 7k, but I was still in euphoria and it was xmas season after all.

Certificate for me was not a problem, my wife was yet to collect her UNILAG one, but she went to the office first week of the year, and got it in a day, only to find out they did not write her full name, so they had to correct it. All other documents we had. POF was not really a problem, we used TBills with a letter that both us had access to the funds.

Lucky for us, on the day we were doing the medical test, they called my wife that her certificate was ready, so she went to collect it, and that night, I scanned all the documents and filled all the information necessary and sent our application. 2 Weeks later, I realized that my wife's occupational letter did not specify that she worked fulltime 40 hours, so we raised a CSE with a new employment letter stating that.

Now for the endless wait. I am a worrier, my wife on the other hand is calmer and more patient, so in order not to yank my hair (the very little I have) from my head, I decided to study for PMP to distract me from thinking about it and prepare me for Canada.

MEP/ BIL came about the usual time of 4 to 6 weeks. I did my PMP on Mar 28 and I ed (yes, thank you thank you), only for me to be in dream land that I would get PPR by April. I decided to discuss online in Nairaland, only to see people get it and mentioning their Visa Office. I was of the opinion that Accra was handling all applications for Nigeria. One day, I saw someone talk about a January AOR group, so I asked to , lo and behold, it was one of the best decisions I had made. The people in the group help and encourage each other, and they helped to answer all my questions about the application (all except when I actually get PPR of course). It was there I got to know about ways to CIC apart from email.

1st Call to CIC May 9th 2019, Criminality ed, Eligibility and Background check not started, meanwhile some people have gotten theirs, na which kin head I carry come?. I emailed Ralph same thing, but I also found out, that a lot of people especially in Ottawa(which I found out was my VO) had also not gotten, so I chilled.

2nd call 24 May 2019, Same story, the lady I spoke to this time however told me not to worry, that they may be working on it, but that the Case officers are usually not good at updating, so they can only see what is updated, but it doesn't mean that the process is not going on in the background.

After being heart broken again, I decided not to call them until the anniversary of my 5 month waiting. I saw some people get theirs and I was happy for them, but there is always a feeling in you (ok in me if you are a better person than me) that when would it be my turn.

Woke up June 8th to do my usual checking on the system before my daily 90 mins walk (I check it so much that I wonder why the system keeps asking for , I could almost see it saying, "chairman na you again?"wink. Only to see my first ghost update. I posted it on the WhatsApp group to be sure. Fortunately, a few other people got it too, and no rejection letter, so it is a good thing.

The week went by slowly as a I saw people who got GU with me get PPR or more GUs while my own was the same. Abi I offend them for CIC? I knew other who hadn't gotten GU, so I was grateful for at least some development. I called CIC on Jun 11th, expecting to at least here that they are working on my application or something, only for them to tell me no change that my 6 months ends Nov 7th (probably the time limit they gave themselves to finish background check). My heart sunk as I told the woman it can't be, she was a little touchy, and I could have told her off, but make my village people no go use am destroy wetin God come do, make hin no go delete our application from server. I was a little heart broken (ok a lot).

Jun 15th, 2019, woke up to do my usual check, and a second GU, asked my wife if there was an email, she said no, so I was calmer. Something in me said, you would be getting this thing soon, God has done it. Went to Ikoyi club to relax with a friend.

Monday night, I checked the system, maybe there is a 3rd GU like some people got, or if the ADR changed to "Not Applicable", but it didn't, so I went to bed. I woke up to go to the toilet when my wife came to meet me at 1AM with her phone to read something on it.. THE GOLDEN EMAIL. I could not sleep all night, both praising GOD(trust me I am not the religious type, but for me my journey has been truly divine) and being filled with excitement.

For those waiting for PPR who read this message, May the blessing of PPR come to you soon, and may the Lord give you the peace and endurance to wait till it comes, because for me, it was not easy, and I thank the member of January AOR group, you guys are truly wonderful....
