So after all and all, the agent said he would give me the form only if I can pay a huge sum of money(so huge) which I decline, this then scatter everything and the agent said he was going to sell ma slot, and that the person will call me after he has gotten the visa, so as to let me know the opportunity I have wasted, buh since I have d confirmation NO. And the DOB, I just filled ma forms with the correct infos and sent it to Kcc(meaning I didn't care about what was in d initial entry). Then the long wait began, den I received a notification email about ma 2nd NL....in short I no call d agent again, and he no call me......so I wouldn't know if he was planning anything.......kerekere, I got all ma docs ready......kerekere interview date reach...was already at the embassy by 5am, at around 6am, the normal process started and we were going tru security checks, so at the second stage where am to pick up my red tag and voucher for payment, have already picked it up self......sitting under the shaves there listening to sounds of the waters, a lady just came, who is xxxxxx I signaled and she asked me to come out( for ma mind--->so dem no go even allow me see eyinbo b4 dem send me away?) I followed her, she den told her colleagues that I and 1 guy like that bear the same name,surname, and even our appointment letters are the same #flashback: recall where I said that the agent said he was going to sell my slot to sum1 else?, yeah right! He actually sold it....1 thing that makes the whole tin strange was that the oda guy was like my carbon copy have never seen sum1 that looked so much like me like that b4.......we were asked to return to our sits and the normal process continued...I kept on praying that God should let his will be done......now in the hall, did all payments and submissions....den immigrant interview begins....almost all d immigrants had bn interviewed, I was still on ma sit....I witnessed silent denials, lousy denials, fainting denials, crying denials....smiling approvals, grinning approvals, hugging type, just name it.....then I was called to window 8, it was a room, where I met this my God sent friend( a cute white male) and anoda Good looking black male....they said they just wanted to confirm sumfins and that its no biggie. I told them everything I knew about the agent, how he ed me about wining and the amount he asked me to pay? I also told dem about the mistakes in my initial entry,as I was talking, they were both writing and it was like the eyinbo was looking into ma soul, so with that I told em the things dey didn't even ask, also about the oda ME, and they said I should go and sit down, that I shouldn't do as if I noticed him, that I should nt talk to him, after some minutes he was called into the room too.....and then I was called to window 18....this white woman have bn starring at all day....she's just so cute,

So I got outside and it was this ma paddie again, a honda accord 2003 model was ma ride, couple of handshakes and as they opened the door, I saw the oda ME in hand curfs, I felt so bad for him that his tears almost made me cry for him, it was so sad, paddie wetin happen, he said I should do dem a favour and give them my statement, it turns out that the handshakes were from those who liked it has d second me was caught, and ma so called ride belongs to an oga olopa....we were at the station, gave dem d statement, buh I was so sad for the guy.......I don't know if you are thinking that this testimony is not normal! It can only be God o!

No, there is no way to bec ;Dome a Legal Permanent Resident in the U.S. while residing and working in Nigeria. The whole point of being an LPR is that you reside in the U.S., legally and permanently.

He has been schedule for an interview for the month of July but after considering some certain things about his present job and his family (which I will brings forth to your notice for proper counseling), he decided to drop his case as he concluded not to show up during the interview.

The Questions
1. Is there need to notify by writing a letter to the Embassy about his absence to pursue his visa?
2. In case he is applying for US Visa in future, and the CO ask if he has applied for VISA before… What will be his response?

Reason why he intends not to present at the Interview
He is with family of 5, having a good job here in Nigeria that pays him very well.
Now he is considering how to start new life in USA searching for Job, and selling off all his properties in Nigeria (If Visa Approve).

The Questions
1. Is there any means of being a LPR (Green Card Holder) in USA while he stay and continue his Job in Nigeria?
2. If Yes, How will he start the processing if he gets to USA. What forms is he going to fill?

I have told him my best opinion but I still believe your answers to the questions will be different, also be detailed and will highly be appreciated.

I was worried infect I tryd all possible means bt culd nt get my result. So on 10th of jun I was going thru all my massage in my inbox,outbox,spam etc in my email address. I nw saw o copy of d print out in my inbox that is wen I noticed I told d guy to send d print out also to my mail and he did.wen I found out I was selectd I startd dancing but wit 1leg. Did did nt find dis 4rum den so I printd my forms and filld every tin and send back to dem thru DHL asaba, so the long waiting startd. My cas no is 14180. But it luk lik is 50thousan, d dv bulletin movement was vry low last year. Until april 18 wen I got my 2NL. Bcs dey did nt sent it to my mail it was frm dis forum that I was advised to us my cas no and check for my 2NL which I did and got my 2NL. Preparation started I got my document ready on 14th june I went for my medicals in Qlif clinic and also polic report. D polic dnt work on Saturdays so aviod it. SO ON 25th June d intervw date. EgbonBode: Do not be worried about visa bulletin for Nigeria.

Please let nobody be discourage about the movement of the visa bulletin. My case number is about 18,000. Everybody that won will have opportunity of been interviewed. If you analyse the statistics at this link that westcodes gave us for last year 2013 the whole picture will be very clear. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmbWzexdyvIldEs1d3VWWnJoV1BZSTF0R0JGeVRSTFE&usp=drive_web#gid=7 DV cases judged in 2013, it's interesting.)

Note this: In Nigeria case for 2013 only 18 case numbers were greater than 20,000. All the other African country except few like Egypt and Congo are well distributed from 0 to about 100,000. What is happening in our own case this year is that almost everybody that won in Nigeria are having their case number less that 20,000. They are distributing the visa bulletin for Nigeria based on this. They already have rough figure of the number of people they are going to interview in Nigeria and they have known the number of people to be invited each month.

If your case number is high continue to prepare. Find out what you can do in US in of career and prepare for it. You will surely be interviewed before the end of September. If you look at the case of 2013 there is no body from Nigeria (based on the statistics in the link) with case number 19xxx that was interviewed earlier than August. Everybody in 19xxx in Lagos were interviewed in August and September.

Our high case number will be to our advantage based on the way this forum is helping with information. Those that will go to US early will be able to help us with information on how to Travel, settle and find jobs and career.

lagbabe: Yes,u need affidavit from the court!it is part of the requirements.

U shld go with 2port of any size,with affidavit,3k,nd a typed letter like an application letter which wld include the following info:

1 ur name,date of birth,place of birth,state of origin,local government of origin

2 ur father's name,state of origin,local government of origin.

3 ur mother's full names,state of origin,local government of origin.



When u get there,they would show you the format of writing the letter,u can type it opposite the office.

It's take 2weeks.

1.. I want to go to NPC Office to get my Long Birth Certificate (Attestation of Birth).. do i need to collect affidavit from High Court, Ikeja?... cos a friend told me dat is not necessary for d affidavit since am not changing/manipulating my dat of Birth, .. How tru is dis?

2.... Wat are d document to hold along with me wen going to NPC office for my certificate and how much will it cost me? should i use 2 x 2 America size port photography?

What is PM dat u guys are talking about.. i only no d one of BBM like DP display picture, PM profile Message.. am I wright? so wat is PM and how do i make use of it cos i need to connect to some people even on my BBM, Facebook, Messenger, if possible Watsapps..

candytos: Hi all, though it has been said several times, knowing how to drive is an advantage for u in US in that some jobs require that u drive n u av a car. Having a car and knowing how to drive helps u move around without stress as a lot of areas do not have bus transport system and to move around u make use of cabs, which can be a drain to ur finance. Note second hand cars are cheap in US for even a new immigrant to plan buying within a short while of arriving. I recall assiting my brother a DV2011 in new Jersey to purchase a good car for just $1300, when I visited him in 2012, which he paid back in less than 6months as I found out we pay an average of $6 on every cab call to go out and same to come back, not to talk about other payment for longer distance trips. My advise is that we learn to drive and try gather small money before leaving to buy a car as soon as we land to make life easy for us.
