The internet has been going agog following the demolition of Prince Dr. Henry Okafor's mansion in Ossemotor Ancient port kingdom, Imo state.
Prince Henry Okafor is the candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency in Imo.
According to media personality Martin Zubby Okorowu, the aspiring lawmaker Prince Henry Okafor, has no case in court or any case of land dispute before his palatable residence was brought down.
It is also claimed that no court order was served as the politician woke up yesterday morning to see his village mansion demolished.
It was gathered that Prince Henry arrived the residence and prevented the villagers from attacking the security operatives there.
Meanwhile, Prince Henry Okafor has condemned the demolition of his residence. The politician accused his political enemies of trying to distract his focus just weeks to the election.
He said he has nothing against any politician and wondered why his house was demolished without any notice.

Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has been sighted at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Adamu is said to be the possible replacement for the outgoing Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, though the official announcement of Idris’ replacement has yet to be made by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Adamu was seen on Tuesday morning going to the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari, for a meeting.
However, while the AIG was at the Villa, Idris was with other security chiefs at the Cenotaph of the Unknown Soldier laying a wreath in commemoration of the 2019 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The exercise was expected to be Idris’ last public function before the awaited announcement of his successor.
PEOPLE CAN NEVER CEASE TO AMUSE ME. IS IT UNTIL BABA APPOINTS A PDP CHOICE OF IGP BEFORE THEY CAN BE SATISFIED? HABA! IT IS TURN BY TURN. PDP HAS PERFORMED THEIRS. WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE STAGE FOR ANOTHER PERSON TO PERFORM?
As tweeted by Dele Momodu in reaction to reports that Police IG, Ibrahim Idris has officially retired after his 35-years in service elapsed on January 3rd. He's reported to have been replaced by AIG Adamu Muhammed.

The of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, have staged a heavy protest in Umuahia, Abia State capital today.
According to Igbere TV correspondent covering the event, the IPOB appeared on a Jewish attire with Insignia on Biafra and stormed major streets in Umuahia.
Some of the Insignias read that the News were in existence IN Nigeria even before the Almagamation in 1914.
Recall that their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is currently in Israel and claimed that President Muhammad Buhari is a Jubril from Sudan but the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed yesterday denied the report that President Muhammad Buhari is Cloned.
Buhari while in Poland recently, also dismissed the report that he is cloned.
Hypocrisy is when you are trying to serve two masters at the same time. You want Biafra, a land of yours and at the same time you want Atiku for your president. Who did you people this?

And I believe you graduated from Ghana university or are you also half barked? am surprise how people mortgage their sense and conscience all because of their party ..if at all the Nigeria university is not producing sound graduates, you and your Akande should share on the blame bcoz he is supposed to be an elder stateman,Osun state which he governed is one of the worst state both academically and youth empowerment in the whole of southwest... He is very shameless man same goes to u
ASUU may be partly crying foul. During NUC-FG accreditation of a course, the same school would go and hire some Lecturers, Classes, Desk and other materials needed to get such dept accreditted. The NUC will give them mark based on what they saw on the ground. Now the same Lecturers are crying that Universities are being under or poorly funded infrastructurally. Take NUC to the designated bush site and tell them that we intend to have a classroom here but no money to fund it. They are being paid yet they still demand sex for mark

Juliusmalema:
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party of vagabonds, adding that the former national chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande is the grandfather of half-baked government for accusing striking lecturers of producing vagabonds and unemployable graduates.
The union said it was unfortunate that a supposed leader of Akande’s status could render a statement with warped logic.
Chief Bisi Akande had condemned the strike embarked upon by ASUU in Oke Ila Orangun where he went to commission one storey classroom donated to Abolarin college recently.
He was reported to have said the union is destroying the country with demands that are not genuine.
While reacting, the ASUU chairman, University of Ibadan, Dr. Deji Omole, said it was shameful that Chief Bisi Akande by age and previous offices held in the country before now is qualified to be called an elder statesman.
Omole stated that Akande’s recent outburst against the ongoing patriotic struggle by ASUU to save public university education in Nigeria clearly exposed him that he is just an elder only by age but not a statesman.
“The same Bisi Akande who himself was a teacher during the free education programme of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo sacked hundreds of teachers and left Osun state education in tatters now claims to value quality graduates while shying away from adequate investment in education.
“It is on record that during Akande’s time as governor all the higher institutions in Osun State were closed down due to the anti-masses policy of his istration on education.
“It is even self-indicting for the leader of a ruling party who is destroying public education with chronic underfunding of the existing institution but busy itself to mushrooming of new universities without any funding plan to still be talking in public. The budget for education in the current year was wickedly cut down to seven percent to demonstrate their hatred for public funded education,” Dr. Omole said.
According to him, ASUU is not government that promised Nigerian youths gainful employment like the ruling party did and so “could not be blamed for the failure of the clueless government to establish industries.”
The ASUU boss said it was because of the likes of Akande who is interested in killing public education to allow for their children and grandchildren to dominate and oppress the children of the masses that they go on strike.
ASUU may be crying foul. The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will on Wednesday (today) take his campaign to the North-Central.
Our correspondent learnt on Tuesday that the North-Central rally would hold in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Recall that Atiku started his campaign with the North- West rally which was held in Sokoto on Monday.
It was further learnt that the South-West rally would hold in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Thursday after the North Central rally.
The Director, Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan; and the Kwara State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Tunde Ashaolu, confirmed the development to our correspondent.
Ashaolu said the Ilorin rally would hold at the Metropolitan Square.
He urged all PDP and ers to come out en masse to show for the party and its candidate.
Meanwhile, Ashaolu in a statement made available to journalists welcomed Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to the state for the inauguration of one of the Federal Government’s Social Investment Programmes, TraderMoni.
He, however, claimed that the event slated for Friday is a vote-buying gimmick.
The statement read, “The party notes that the scheme was launched in 2015 and in the past three years, the Vice-President did not visit any state for ‘TraderMoni,’ but few months to the general election, he has been going round markets in different states of the country to distribute money to traders and artisans.
“We want to believe this is not a ploy by the APC to induce them ahead of the elections.
“Nevertheless, the Kwara PDP warns against the partisanship of the initiative and advises that there should be no discrimination in the selection of beneficiaries in the state.
“The Vice-President and his team must ensure that beneficiaries are selected without recourse to political affiliations. Since this is a government scheme and not a party affair, beneficiaries must cut across political divides.”

InoutNaija:
The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has been accused by Residents of Ijoka Community in Ado-Ekiti of reducing them to refugees in their own land through the demolition exercise carried out by his istration.
The residents of the community claimed that their properties were demolished without prior notification. They also alleged that they were not compensated for their lost properties, while those compensated were paid monies far below the value of their properties.
They Ijoka elders and other residents, who were led by the Elejoka, Chief Lawrence Omodara, made the revelations during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi.
The elders stated that the shock many residents of the community suffered as a result of the demolition, led to their untimely death.
They, however, sought the assistance of the state government for their compensation to be paid adding that their demands for compensation from Fayose did materialise before he left office on October 15.
One of the community leaders, Mr. Joseph Fagbuaro, said Fayose gave them several appointments to meet on the issue of compensation which the ex-governor did not honour until the expiration of his tenure.
Fagbuaro told InoutNaija: “Truly what happened to us in Ijoka in the last istration was not proper, it was about 5 O’clock in the evening that the former Governor Fayose started demolishing our houses, destroyed our properties and our ancestral homes; where we used to perform traditional rites during some festivals in Ado Ekiti, without notifying us, without discussing it with anyone what he (Fayose) wanted to use the houses or the land to do.
“We appreciate you (the Deputy Governor) for granting us audience, all attempts to make our plight known to the government during Fayose regime were unsuccessful, he gave us appointments several times but failed to attend to us.
“Our houses were demolished without prior notice alongside with our belongings inside the houses.
“Some of us went to the farm before we returned, our buildings had been pulled down.
“Please help us, some of us died because they had nowhere to go, when their houses were demolished because it is not all of us that have children that built houses.
“Some keep renting houses about, imagine somebody of my age, 73 years just going about to rent house.
“This is why we are here, please help us, some of us are now refugees in own native land.
“Also, majority of us were not compensated at all while those who were compensated got peanuts compared to the value of what was destroyed.
“The whole Ijoka community was about going to extinction; all our buildings and lands had been demolished and cleared for road by the past istration.
“We plead for the intervention of the State government, we want the restoration of our ancestral home, we don’t want our community to vanish like that and we want our people to be properly compensated as well.”
The deputy governor, in his response, who promised that the government will look into the matter of the demolition, as he expressed surprise over the claim that majority of the people who houses were demolished had not been compensated.
Egbeyemi said: “My boss, Governor Kayode Fayemi, like people to be straightforward because he upholds the virtue of integrity and truthfulness.”
It is only insane man that can compare a government of 3 years with that of 8 years. A government which their predecessor ran aground before living office.
