The police have arrested an agent of All Progressives Congress (APC) carrying a Voters’ at a polling unit in Manchok Registration Area Centre (RAC), Kaura Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, on Saturday.

The agent, Samuel Semion, caught with the at Uguwan Aba Dube I Polling Unit, Manchok RAC, said the document was distributed to all party agents in the area by ”a senior party member”.

When the attention of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and security agents was drawn to the development, the INEC Supervisor in the RAC, Cletus Joseph, asked the police to arrest the suspect.

Mr Joseph claimed the action contravened the Electoral Act.

“We have received similar information from our officials in various polling units that APC agents have in their possession INEC Voters’ .




“I want to categorically say that no agent is entitled to (hold) the Voters’ for any reason and anyone caught with it should be arrested.”

The Divisional Police Officer in the Local Government, Daniel Mbwale, seized the document and ordered security agents to seize the documents from all APC agents in all polling units in the area.

Responding to the development, the Public Relations Officer of APC in the LGA, Mathew Kuyau, said the was distributed to all of the party executive in the area who made it available to the agents.

He explained that the measure was to enable the agents to the accreditation of voters by INEC officials but not to interfere with the election process.

You may say that this is an APC gathering, is it only muslims that are of APC? Nigerian Christians should wake up from their slumber before you wake up to a Quran on your tables. Let us not talk about the entertainers in the program who were only Fulani traditional entertainers. There was nothing to show that it was that the said program is about NIGERIAN WOMEN AND YOUTH VICTORY DINNER because it was all about Hausa-Fulani muslim in entire outlook.

Atiku takes wide lead in Anambra

The People’s Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has taken a major lead in the ongoing collation of results in Anambra State.

The PDP vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is from Anambra state.

Results so far announced from 13 of 21 local government areas show that Mr Abubakar is leading with about 296,711 votes.

PDP polled 317,767 votes from the results announced so far at the INEC state headquarters in Awka, the state capital, while APC polled 21,056.

At 4.30 a.m. Monday morning, Francis Ogbonnaya Otunta, the Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University, announced a break to continue at 11 a.m.
