Lizzysamuel:
President Muhammadu Buhari in Lome, Togo, advised states in West and Central Africa to always uphold the tenets of respect for rule of law, democracy and human rights saying that they are the panacea for good governance.

The President’s advice came few hours after eight of the Benue House of Assembly out of the 30 member house allegedly served notice of impeachment to the state governor, Samuel Ortom, while the Imo State House of Assembly also impeached the deputy governor, Eze Madumere despite the pendency of the matter in Court.

But the Nigerian leader while contributing to the consideration and adoption of the Draft Declaration by the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Peace, Security, Stability and the Fight against Terrorism and violent Extremism in the Togolese capital called for collaboration among member states.

President Buhari made a strong appeal for inter-regional collaboration on maritime security, the fight against terrorism and other crimes through effective border control.
He said, “Respect for rule of law, democracy and promotion of human rights are also vital as they are attributes of good governance, which would enhance the socio-economic development of the two regions.

“It is also noteworthy to state that the subsisting collaboration among Nigeria, Chad, Cameroun, Niger and Benin in the fight against transnational crimes and proliferation of small arms and light weapons is exemplary.”
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Malam Garba Shehu last night stated that the President noted that “Nigeria’s collaboration with the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), which is mandated to protect our environment, is existential because of the imperative to preserve the Lake Chad.”

The President said the Lake which had shrunk by 90 per cent, “has directly led to the economic hardship in the region, which has in turn created the enabling environment for the radicalization of the youth.”
He, therefore, called for greater focus on the refilling of the Lake Chad “as a long-term solution to one of the root causes of this existential threat.”

He noted that the t Summit was long overdue given the shared history and cultural ties of the two sub-regions and the common challenges facing them.
Buhari said: “Nigeria shares boundaries with two important ECCAS ; Cameroun and Chad, with whom we share the same security threats, especially terrorism, illicit trafficking of small arms and light weapons, human and drug trafficking, smuggling among others. Therefore, collaboration between our two sub-regions has become inevitable at this time to enable us effectively confront the existing challenges.”

He said such proximity informed his engagement with the neighbouring countries as soon as he came to power in 2015, leading to the formation of “a common front to combating Boko Haram insurgency” through the Multi-national t Task Force (MNJTF) by the countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (Cameroun, Chad, Niger, Nigeria and Benin).

Reminding his fellow leaders of the African Union’s designation of 2018 as the Anti-Corruption Year under the theme, “Winning the Fight against Corruption: the Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation,” and his choice as Champion of the theme for the year, President Buhari called on them to “ hands in this campaign against corruption, as one of the root causes of conflict and other societal ills.”

He commended the efforts of the Chairpersons of ECCAS and ECOWAS for bringing together leaders of the two groupings to deliberate on important issues that required urgent attention.
He, however pledged that, “Nigeria will continue to any effort directed towards peace building, security and stability, as well as the fight against terrorism and violent extremism in our two sub-regions and the world at large as an active member of the Global Counter Terrorism Forum (GCTF).”

During the opening session, the ECOWAS Chairman and President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe; the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Mohamed Ibn Chambas; the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Mousa Faki Mahamat; and the ECCAS Chairman and President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba, had underscored the imperative for collaboration to overcome regional security challenges.

In the final communiqué, the 26-member t organisation strongly condemned all kinds of illicit activities and trafficking by terrorist and mercenary groups operating in the Sahel and some ECOWAS and ECCAS Member States.
The t Summit also expressed serious concern about upsurge in and spread of violent conflicts among herders and farmers due particularly to the adverse effects of climate change.

The Heads of State and Government therefore instructed “the Ministers responsible for agriculture, livestock and security of the two regions, to hold regular consultations, with the participation of herder and farmer organisations, in order to identify measures for the preservation and peaceful management of these conflicts.”

Dolapo Bus, The Chief Superintendent of Police and Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2, comprising Ogun and Lagos State while speaking with Vanguard has alleged that Most Persons lie about SARS Brutality on Social Media just to get pity, According to her, Even Celebrities do it..

On the alarming number of SARS brutalisation reports..

She said:
'''Well, the issue of this squad called Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and its operational model has been over flooded basically on the social media platforms.

The #EndSARS# started with a group of individuals that, due to their own personal experience or encounter with the operation, started the campaign. They propelled it with social media, escalating the whole issue negatively.

We are aware that bad news sales faster than good news. People have been feigning SARS attack on the social media.

I am a Zonal Public Relations Officer of the Force and I have noticed that people deforms information even when there is no confrontation at all. Most people somehow, do this to seek relevance on the social media. Even some celebrities are doing it.

The issue has spiraled to the other of the Police Force: when a normal Policeman did anything uncalled for, they tag it SARS. This kind of act is sending a negative picture to the international community about Nigerian Police.

We don’t have any other country other than Nigeria, and whatever we do reflects on us a people. The negative effects rub off on us too as Policemen.

When we are outside the country, they see us as corrupt officers due to social media postings. I have spoken to stakeholders in this #Endsars# campaign group, advising them that there are ways and manners the goal can be achieved without using social media platform to escalate the issue.

SARS integrity has been projected in a negative form abroad, and even some people are afraid to visit home with the insinuation that SARS will attack them.

Burundian Franc Exchange rate: 1 USD = 1749 BIF In spite of the government’s strict regulations to protect the Burundian currency from becoming almost worthless, no definite progress has been made. Give the vendor 800 Franc and you’ll get a cool bottle of the world most famous drink! 9. To get a bottle of your favorite drink, Coca-Cola, in Malawi, you’ll need around 320 Kwacha. The reason why most investors are afraid to invest in the economy of these countries due to the regular fluctuations of their currency. The economies are very unstable and so are the currency! We’ve tried as much as possible to give you the accurate exchange rate but note that these values are constantly changing and if you’ll like to get the current exchange rate of any of the currency stated here, you can visit the country’s central bank website.

Samuel Kaka-Oyetibo is a pragmatic preacher
of the word. While he was in Nigeria, then at
Igioluwagbi Parish, New Oko Oba, Agege
area of Abule Egba, Lagos where I met him, I
saw a man whose morality is more important
than laws.He was an upright family man
whom I have had cause to fraternize with.
Moving to the United States of America to
continue with his calling, he was said to have
been so disciplined to an extent that he has
moral responsibility to disorganise some
existing laws at Staten Parish, New York, US.
His proclivity for change has been the
genesis of his problems with some ‘Powers
that be’ as CNO was made to understand.
The damaging and ugly news hit the social
media platform, defaming the good
character of a man whose calling is
unblemished, and of course the church too
received a great deal of abuse from pull-it-
down-syndromes, calling it all sorts of
names.
CNO, in its usual style, reconnected with
Baba Oyetibo via his whatsapp number as
suggested by a friend, Evang. Abimbola
Obarere, the prophetic preacher, Evang.
Oyetibo was able to give us an audience but
reluctantly said, “There is nothing to clear
since it’s been handled legally by the church
hierarchy.”
Having published the memo presented to
the parishioners in the US, as sent to us by a
reliable source, we pushed further to make
him, (Oluso Kaka) at least, react to the
allegations leveled against him and he said;
“Halleluyah my dear brother, thanks for your
concern and love for the church of God; may
the good Lord reward our labour in His
vineyard. Honestly I would have loved to say
a lot but circumstances beyond me wouldn’t
allow me do much. Firstly the so called
individuals involved in these false
accusations have been taken to court;
secondly the Holy Spirit has strongly warned
me to sit back and see how things unfold.
I am a soldier for Christ and this situation
isn’t the first I am encountering… my
records speak for me and you can make
research from my 5 years as the state
Evangelist for Enugu and Ebonyi states, Igi
Oluwagbin Parish @Abule-Egba is another
recent parish I worked before the Lord
finally settled me at Itele Ota. One thing I
uphold strongly and I wouldn’t compromise
for anything is the word of God (11 TIMOTHY
2 VS 15) look around and ask people what
kaka-Oyetibo stands for.
Embittered treasurer of 15 years whom I
removed and the Parochial Chairman who
couldn’t lay his hands on the purse of the
church since I changed the signatories to the
church staged the saga they spread
around via social media. Not to talk of the
involvement of some so called Shepherds
whom their calling is questionable….”
It’s obvious that for a man’s name and that
of the church to have been dragged in the
mud to that extent, something must have
gone wrong somewhere. Well, we are not
meant to judge anyone, but as a church
meant to cleanse the world, it’s important
that our deeds and acts are in conformity
with the people above. So, let’s eschew any
form of fisticuffs that may bring shame to
the calling of Papa Oshoffa and of course the
name of Christ whom we all follow.
Alleluiah!

Some people still ignorantly believes federal government has total solution to their problem. For crying out loud, we run federal system where national resources is shared between 3 tiers of government.
Ask your governors and local government chairman to be able on allocation received from federal government.
Buhari is not your problem as we don't run unitary system of government. You need to be educated and enlighten on how government works.
