I was in Edo for 19years and i know how PDP milked the state dry before Oshiomole the creator of modern Edo State came into power. Infact the Oba allowances and salaries was not spared during PDP. I wished Obaseki ed a different party, we all know Edo PDP and the integrity he claimed to have will forever be questioned. People need to know that Obaseki is yet to match the developmental strides of Oshiomole, I wish them good luck.

In the 2016 Edo Governorship election that brought Obaseki to office, he (Obaseki) lost to the PDP’s candidate (Pastor Ize Iyamu) in his Ward, Local Government Area and Senatorial district.
The then National Chairman of the APC (Chief Oyegun) also lost woefully to PDP in his polling unit, Ward, Local Government and Senatorial district.
In fact, it was the massive votes that H. E., Comrade Adams Oshiomole turned out from his Edo North Senatorial district that made Godwin Obaseki to win the 2016 Edo Governorship election.
Therefore, before we begin overate a looser, let’s go back to our archives and do a SWOT analysis of the situation then and now, vis-a-vis the major characters. This, I am sure is what the PDP will be doing over this weekend.

obaseki should learn how to fight political battles intelligently without running into unnecessary tensions.An executive order by a governor cannot stop people from gathering for elections.No executive order can regulate the conduct/mode of operations of political parties in Nigeria.The Constitution of Nigeria and the electoral act is greater than even an executive order from the President.Without elections there is no democracy.The only scenario where elections can be regulated by executive order is when the Constitution is suspended.Forexample,the PDP in Edo state has ward Congresses to elect non statutory delegates for their indirect primary slated for tomorrow,is Obaseki saying the PDP should not gather across the state for this exercise?

No. 1. Ortom. Inspite of all the harassment from Oshiomole, Ortom defected to PDP and won. Incumbent Governors are very powerful, how much does Chairman have?
No. 2 Do you think APC Governors will allow their colleague to be disgraced by Chairman, that reduces their influence.
No 3. Oshiomole was struggling for his life few months back simply because all other S/S APC leaders moved against him, he was saved by Zulum, Ganduje & Tinubu. He is still going back to fight. Make him no worry.
No 4. Rivers & Zamfara are still fresh on everyone's minds. A repeat will be disastrous.
No 5. There is a new sheriff in town (Gambari) so any crisis at this early stage will not be welcomed. The world over, incumbents are given the rights of first refusal except their performance is abysmal. That cannot be said of Obaseki.
Lastly. With PDP having 2 senators. APC has no choice than to put their best foot forward. If this campaign is not run with state resources, APC is a goner.
Look at the ugly monkey that wants to be a godfather in Edo State, in 2020. I laugh in Swahili.
