From my experience, those who made it were called state by state; outside the hall, we were all made to sit, and relax....we were given prep talks.
We were called in based on the state codes (e.g., AK47). When I entered, serving military personnel matched in and saluted, while civilians greeted the board normally.
As soon as I got in, the board were seated in a U format, with a chair in the middle and a white board marker.The questions came from every angle, and the board had photocopies of my credentials.Board who studied the same course with me or had an idea asked questions from my field; one of the board was particular about current affairs, and some had nice humor. In a nutshell, the questions had no particular order. Side questions like, Do you play football? etc. were also asked. 
Note: We were advised not to make hand gestures, to stand up right, and to speak with confidence.

USA, UK and others are not supposed to be on that list, if languages spoken by foreigners are to be included, Nigeria speaks 1000 languages
