I am an F1 student and trying to renew my visa. I checked online and google is saying there is no longer drop box available in Nigeria. Is this true? I just want to pay visa fee so I am unable to confirm from US visa portal.

I made visa fee payment on 3rd September 2024 on the new Avits website through loca bank transfer (First Bank) in Sagamu, Ogun State.
I later found out that the bank official erroneously input '1' instead of 'I' in the Ammentum number. However, that was corrected and the payment was acknowledged as the AVIT system prompted 'Bank payment updated successfully'. Surprisingly I couldn't proceed to the appoitment booking page for days, and this prompted me to cancel this pending appointment process and initiated a fresh one.
Unfortunately, I had been unable to proceed in this process as the system kept on prompting 'Duplicate applicant found for this ' message each time I try again and again. This situation is very frustrating, I made effort to generate ticket three times and all not yet attended to.
Please has anyone encountered this issue and how was it fixed?
The tickets I created are just there on thier system not attended to. No response since then.

I had this problem too. What I did was to create a ticket and kept calling them. Eventually, they merged the two s but I doubt you will be able to use the payment before. You may have to pay another visa fee.

Also please what is the bank deposit slip number? I am to input it after payment.
