Please why don't we have CAN president from the north since the onset? Maybe northern Christians are considered as minority.

Trajectory of CAN Elected Presidents from inception to date - Dominic Cardinal (1). Ekandem (late) from 1976 till 1986. (2). Anthony Cardinal Okogie from 1988 till 1995. (3). Prelate Sunday Mbang from 1994 till 2003. (4). Primate Jasper Akinola from 2003 till 2007. (5). Archbishop John Onaiyekan from 2007 till 2010. (6). Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor from 2010 till 2016. (7). And the current president.... Reverend (Dr) Samson Ayokunle, who was elected in 2016. Does it mean CAN as a body of Christ did not see any Northern Christian qualified to be the Association's President since 1976 to date ? Why the predominance by Southern Christians....? Does this imply that the northern Christian are less Christians or is it because they are in minority in northern Nigeria. Are they also minority in the Christian family in Nigeria? This is amazing as Equity, justice and fairness is not playing in CAN. Yet Can is promising Fire and Brimstone against APC for not finding a Christian Northerner to be VP Candidate....when they could not find a worthy Northern Christian to lead their Association for 42 years now.... He Who Calls for Equity must come with Clean Hands. Ile la ti n ko eso rode ! AntiTerrorist: |

Wilstino: Daily Post Nigeria NEWS COVID-19: Why I ‘celebrated’ Abba Kyari’s death – Sacked Ganduje’s Commissioner, Magaji Published 4 hours ago on April 19, 2020 By Amos Tauna The immediate past Kano State Commissioner of Works and Infrastructural Development, Engr Muazu Magaji, who was relieved of his appointment following alleged unguarded utterances he made against the person of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari, has finally cleared the air of what he actually meant. The former commissioner in a statement he issued on Sunday, said he did not celebrate Kyari’s death but people misunderstood what he meant. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had through the state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, in a statement said the Commissioner of Works and Infrastructural Development, Engr. Mu’azu Magaji removed from office following his unguarded utterances against the person of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari. He explained, “I want to sincerely clear up what a lot of people may have misunderstood and set the record straight. As a Muslim and a patriotic Nigerian, I was only misunderstood by people to think that I celebrated Kyari’s death, the truth is I did not.” The former Commissioner added, “Not only that, I made several posts mourning Kyari’s death on my same Facebook and through my special assistants, but the general public couldn’t commend such, rather tend to capitalize on a phrase post that was given another set of definition and direction as well as negativity in other to tarnish my reputable image as a member of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje istration and his loyalist and that of our national party, APC. |

"Jonathan promised to do something about it; he never did". "OPC founder, Faseun, took two-page advert in The Guardian in November 2011 to draw attention to it; nothing was done to correct it".* *Many have forgotten it was like that in the First Republic. Akintola kept drawing our attention to it, but his outcry was overshadowed, indeed drowned, by the crisis in the Action Group. He always spoke of Ikejiani, Iketa-ani!!!* *An aspect of efforts to correct it with Richard Akinjide as Education Minister led to crisis at Unilag instigated by Dr. Ben Nwabueze, now Professor. Akinjide sought to replace Prof. Eni Njoku with Prof. Saburi Biobaku. You may wish to that he was stabbed by an Adams, a Yoruba student in our accustomed detribalization and liberalism. Until Akinjide became minister of education under Balewa, the Yorubas hardly got federal scholarships. If at all it was tokenism.* *Among the first set of Yorubas to benefit from Akinjide's attempted redress in 1965 was Professor Akinyemi to pursue his higher degrees at Cambridge. At the time just go to Yaba Tech, or NBC, especially Voice of Nigeria headed by Chinua Achebe, yes the same Achebe.* *Go to all the Federal Govt parastatals of that era. What of federal civil service, particularly the upper echelon. It was then speculated at the time that the reason Zik did not cooperate with Awolowo in 1959 to form Govt was so that he could put his people in different vital positions in pursuit of his dream that it was a matter of time when the Igbos would dominate and rule the whole of Africa. At the time Njoku was at Unilag, Kenneth Dike was the Vice Chancellor at the University of Ibadan, appointed over the head of his superiors, "Oladele Ajose" who was in fact the only black already on the Academic Board of UI; Dr. Sanya Onabamiro; and Dr. Victor Oyenuga. Dike and Hezy Oluwasanmi were on the same level, the fourth ring. Dr. Francis Ibiam was chairman of Council. So, he went to London University to lobby for Kenneth Dike, his kinsman. Incidentally, Dike was in Canada at the time on sabbatical.* *The Yoruba academics then led a protest delegation to Chief Awolowo at Oke Ado. He calmed them down and said the answer was in the West setting up its own university. He asked them to give him a paper. That was what led to the founding of the University of Ife!!!.* *While Dike held sway, the halls, catering, drycleaning services were all dominated by Igbos.* Let me add to this, President Goodluck Jonathan removed General Dambazzau as the COAS and replaced him with General Ihejirika, he removed Afrikiya Gadzama as DSS boss and replaced him with Ita Ekpenyong, The economy team of this govt is dominated by Southerners but nobody is talking about it because it does not suit their narrative. *Ibrahim D Itsenyabi* |

PROPHETmichael:Just like he became Saint for defecting to PDP. |
![]() |
Forgive me, I am madly in of President Muhammedu Buhari second term bid because am a Cross Riverian. In 1999 we gave PDP 100 percent votes and lost Bakassi to Cameroon. In 2007, We gave PDP 100 percent votes and lost 76 oil wells to our neighbouring state, Akwa Ibom. In 2011 we gave PDP 100 percent votes and lost the bid to reclaim Bakassi. That's in 16 years, we benefit the minister of environment( less than three years) Justice (less than a year, I stand to be corrected) power( less than a year) Culture(less than a year). But in 2014, we denied APC, stadium, Cultural center for campaign, and a head teacher of primary school gave them their small open, watering field, In 2015 we gave him 0.55 percent votes and benefits this much: 1. A Minister of Niger Delta. 2. Chairman of NDDC. 3.Special Adviser on Prosecution 4. Head of service to the federation. 5. Chief Justice of the federation 6. Auditor general of Nigeria. 7. Chief of Naval Staff 8. Chairman Lottery Commission 9. Over 20 chairmen and of federal Universities and polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria. 10. Our only federal road that was a Death trap rehabilitated. 11. Our state headquarters linked in the recent map of rail way. 12. Thousands of our unemployed sons daughters benefiting from Npower program and our primary school pupils who can't afford Snacks to school are now been fed daily etc. The God that I worship and posterity won't forgive me if I don't reciprocate this kind gesture. Thanks so much. - Fred Asuquo #ayi |
