PStylish: Good.Very good.I guess you would assume that you are 'wheat', but your parochial disposition suggests you are 'chaff'. You are no better than most of these stereotyped part-timers. 7 Likes |

What? Hop it only affects undergraduate class. Or is it also applicable to postgraduate school? A big blow to me.

Already people are jumping on the bandwagon to say good "good job, well done", how does this or how do they intent to tackle the massive dearth of required skills for economic viability? Prof Okojie said the commission wanted to streamline part-time programmes such that it would accommodate not more than 20 per cent of the students in universities and stop the establishment of satellite campuses. So, what's the alternative? what is wrong with having more than 20% as part-timers? why stop satellite campuses? what are the impacts on quality of education? Have they proposed better ways to deliver quality university/college education in a flexible manner to the teeming population of nigerians who need these skills to gain competitive-advantages? Once again, it seems we apply the same "smash & destroy" nigerian mentality, kick against any form of innovation, if it has any faults, ban it & disregard it's advantages & merits. Of course there are faults with any method to deliver education, but we should be looking for ways to improve & properly regulate them, rather than banning. 7 Likes |

Absolute rubbish. Is part time programme the problem of Nigeria education? FG and NUC are the problems of Nigeria education. As long as part time programme is not a problem in developed countries,it is never a problem to Nigeria education. From Gej to the ministers, senators, they are all products of full time studies and they have not been able to live up expectation of Nigerians. They are disgrace to Nigeria education. 3 Likes |
