Why so bitter?

There is nothing like bitterness in his write up.

He was just mad and unhappy being treated like trash.

And I can relate, South African embassy na garbage

Nothing bitter, i just exposed the facts.
But i am by no means surprised that some posters here who are africans find this perfectly acceptable. I live in Europe and here, such a behaviour from authorities is unacceptable. Unfortunately there in Africa most countries are led by corrupt/incompetent governments and also unfortunately this has been going for centuries and the ordinary people think that is normal, when it is not normal at all, they become used to it...
When i wrote what i wrote here, what the retarded DHA SA does on a forum from my country, everybody could not believe it...they were shocked and said they have never encountered that with any visa for any country. For you here it seems it is completely normal. Well...
In Europe, if a government employee would write to an applicant what that mrs Travern wrote to me, he/she would have been fired the next day when the text reached media...Here i am accused of unprofessionalism because i exposed her...

And i am, by no means, the only one who got an absurd rejection.
A friend of mine got a rejection for eVisa on the reason that "port would expire before the applicant leaves SA". And her port has 9+ more years until expiration date, it was almost new... So it seems they are either retarded or very bad intentioned, i can't see other explanation.

shocked grin

For months, I and Kel have engaged many aspiring applicants here guiding them through the process for applying for visas, there was not a time we requested for a reward from anyone, that is on record. Please take note sir, as No one works for DHA or Evisa Department here, we are just helping others based on our travel experiences and exposures to visa applications.
Again, You are not the first person to be refused a South African Visa, Many here have been refused, over the same issue, they re-applied and got the visa. You must understand that the process is not automatic and please, do not expect me to you on this. I also informed you that i have also been refused a visa in the past, i felt very bad just like you are now, but i managed my disappointment, prepared myself better and i reapplied. My visa was approved subsequently. I did also acknowledge that SA has a very lackadaisical and non challant attitude towards applications. The South African Visa system is not 100% perfect Oh yes!
antobogdan:
@hunee. Oh please, stop with the nonsense.
They have "quotas"? So you it they take the money from the applicants and give decisions arbitrarily, regardless if the conditions are met or not?
And you dare to defend them and call me "unprofessional/unethical" for exposing these fraudsters?
Come on, have some decency, or do you work for them? smiley
Please do not mislead people, this EVISA system is anomalous, it is a bad joke. It is better to be avoided all the time.
The employees that revise these applications are either incompetent or plain bad-intentioned.
I have heard that for some countries there is no tax, well in that case it may be worth applying, but only if one has many months before the actual trip, and do not put any hope in their fairness. Anyway they approve/reject them on totally arbitrary basis., just like at the lottery. So, if one wants to test their luck, they can apply.
For the ones that are required to pay the visa fee, pay with Wise and if the rejection is absurd, first DHA, and then file for a chargeback with Wise. My chargeback case was approved in under a day, but of course i sent them a 45 page pdf proving that i met all the conditions, they absurdly rejected and even had an unprofessional attitude.

As for me, i clearly said i do not apply again ever to this stupid eVisa system. I have two options: either apply at the nearest consulate, or just cancel the tickets. IT seems luck is on my side, because i have received recently a schedule change from the airline and i can get a full refund. Maybe that is the best idea. And i will choose another country that respects its visitors. These idiots from SA behave like they do the visitors a favor by granting them a VISA. When the visitors just come to spend their money in that failed country with a rate of criminality among the highest in the world, you have to "watch your back" every moment...Isn't it ridiculous? A joke of a country where people live in average just 50 years...
Anyway, i just wanted to visit Cape Town for only 7 days, and in the winter...it was not even the best time, so i can simply cancel the tickets and go to beautiful Namibia instead, a country that is much more safe and you are not treated like a piece of dirt from the street by the retarded coruupt authorities like in SA. And visa is on arrival.
Well, i do not want to get too long, but, beware, these guys from eVisa department are totally unprofessional, do not apply there for eVisa, just go to consulate or VFS.

The earlier you understand that visa approvals is not automatic because you have a valid US and Australia visa, the better for you.

Do have a great day and no further responses from me on this. You can still re apply, hopefully your visa get approved.

Regards

Your comments are laced with so much anger, understandably so. However, you must understand that a visa is NOT a right. Secondly, there are also human errors when adjudicating a visa application. If you still want to visit SA, reapply, and highlight the reasons given for the previous refusals, letting them know why their judgement was wrong.

As recent as January 2024, I was refused a visa to , I note that I've had multiple Schengen, UK and a valid Canadian visa, including valid visas to multiple other countries. One would assume I shouldn't be refused a visa, yes? I should have been ranting and complaining about the rejection, yes? I already understand that there may have been something amiss, and instead of getting angry I'll just simply reapply and address the reasons for refusal.

I'll also advise you file a hardcopy application, they are more meticulous with those.

Cheers.

If you are applying for eVisa, all documents will be ed online. If sticker visa, you'll take hard copies of your documents to VFS. For sticker visa, please apply at least 3 months to your to your travel dates.

Please, what is sticker visa?

This is a visa placed in your port, unlike the eVisa which you'll print on A4 paper.

Lmao 😂🤣😂

manoleaurel:

Unfortunately there is not much you can do, because they specifically write that visa fees are non refundable.
All you can do is try a chargeback with the bank that issued the card you paid the visa fees with.
Even if the fee is non refundable if you convince the bank that they rejected your application on wrong reasons (As you say you provided them a statement which was 3 months but they said it was not) you have chances to get the money back.

Y'all need to stop feeling marginalised.

1. The service was rendered, hence there are no bases for requesting a charge back.

2. Claiming the bank statement was three months is debatable. Eg, a statement printed from December 4, 2023 to March 3, 2024 does not cover a three month period - but in our thinking, it does, yes?

No doubt, the reason for refusal may also be attributed to human error.

3. Another question to ask is, was this bank statement physically stamped at the bank branch or an e-statement was used for the application.

Before you start suggesting a charge back for a service already rendered, refer to the and conditions on the service provider's website - which I'm sure expressly addresses these concerns. But no, Nigerians don't read, we are only good at playing the victim card.

manoleaurel:
In some cases banks even reimburse from some type of insurance funds even if they don't recover the money
Anyway what happened to her is not normal, you pay the fee, have all the documents in order, and the documents being rejected on wrong bases, like she says, the bank statement was 3 months but the rejectuon reason said it was less than 3 months . Nobody even an aurhority from a 3rd world country should get away with it.

We both applied for Visitors Visa. I am guessing because her travel history is extensive and she has plenty active visas on her port( US 5years, Canada 10 years, UK 10 years.

They gave lots of visas with false documents...and they make such a fuss for valid bank statements... Yeah, a joke of country like all say.
