I have just met this lady from nigeria on a dating site since 4 weeks, and we have been chatting, but something is not right about her. She gave me a number, and everytime I called, a man always picks it up, and I have asked her who the man is, and she said that was her neighbour, she then gave me another number, but i kept calling the same old number but still bumped to the same old man. She has started asking for money, giving different stories. I did not feel ok, so I called her today to tell her that we had to call it off. I just do not trust women anymore in Nigeria. All I am searching for is one genuine Nigerian woman. Honestly, this is a shame, and am utterly guttered by this actions. I guess I was being set up for financial purpose by that couple.

Still, please don't stereotype, not all Nigerian women are like that (I doubt yours was a woman anyway). There are decent Nigerian women out there, with good morals and values. Cheer up, it could have been worse!

It's not even easy conducting a relationship face to face what more across some distance and not face to face?
If you have not heard of such scamming occuring consider it a crash course in learning that sometimes people are not what they seem. Understandably you have been jolted (rudely) into life of the not soo trusting, however i do hope that despite this 'experience', you will not generalize all Nigerian women whether this 'supposed' person is male or female.
