I am unable to sleep this night,I am experiencing serious cramps like the cramps associated with period but no spotting or bleeding thankfully,I was told that at my stage of pregnancy that the uterus is expanding to accommodate the growing fetus but I didn't thinks it will be this painful both in my abdomen, vagina and anus.I had to take paracetamol for the first time since I got pregnant, still I wasn't really relieved. Please if anyone experienced this stage, kindly enlighten me cause this pain is something else
Hi Mama. Do you have fibroid? .. I experienced same pain on Thursday evening, could not sleep through out the night. Went to the hospital yesterday and doc said the Pain was caused by the fibroid. I was given paracetamol injection (made me very Dizzy and threw up) but felt better and slept better. I will suggest you go to the hospital to rule out anything.

To God be the glory, my princess is here. ed my EDD and my OB asked me to come in for induction on Christmas day but I decided to enjoy Christmas rice before going in the next day. On va.ginal examination, cervix was 2cm dilated. Already I had started seeing bits of clear mucus plug for like 3weeks. Misop.rostol was introduced at past 12 midnight and within minutes, I started feeling contractions. From every 30mins to 20mins to 5mins to 3mins to 1min to 40secs. My DH was doing the timing. By the time it was 20secs apart, I was seeing stars meanwhile the doctor on duty was telling me I'm just 5cm. I said it's not possible from previous experience and begged the nurses with me to crosscheck after he had left and one said that she's touching the baby's head.. All this while, I was being encouraged to lie on my left side throughout and do breathing exercises whenever contractions hit. Anyways, within 5mins, the bag of waters broke and I began to feel a serious bearing down sensation like I wanted to poo. Called the nurses attention and on checking, took me to delivery room that the baby's head was already at the vj opening, another nurse went to call the doctor but before he arrived, God helped me and the nurses birth her, in 2 pushes she was out and the placenta followed immediately, no internal or external tear. Baby weight 3.43kg. Duration of labour: 4 hours. We have been discharged from hospital. Wishing all remaining preggy mamas swift delivery.

Tell your hubby to see a gynea before taking any drug. My hubby was on Addyzoa for about a year and it didn't do anything until he was placed on manix and clomid. The manix works with milk not water. I took in less dan 3 months and I'm pregnant with my second baby. In all, trust in God.
Thank you so much. We have seen a gynecologist and he was placed on Viboost and G oral plus. We haven't been able to get the last drug because it currently scare. The doctor requested for another test because she does not rely on one SFA result. It will end in praise.

ok I was able to go to the hospital first thing this morning and the doctor tried to conduct an evaluation on me to rule out incompetent cervix but mehn my face changed o as I have heard how painful it can be coupled with the fact that I was already experiencing hot pain there already..I had to plead with him for an alternative as my body wasn't ready for more pain..so he said I should do a scan that can also give him the full details on the position of my cervix.I did the scan and was told that the baby is fine, the cervix is closed and there is nothing unusual (ThankGod)...it was concluded that the severe pain I am experiencing is as a result of the uterus enlarging to accommodate the growing fetus. The doctor then proceeded to give me a higher pain medication (tramadol)

Good day mamas in the house, been quite a while.
I went for my first appointment @12weeks yesterday. I asked questions with the hope that my fears will be allayed, so considering my previous history of preterm labour @20weeks, I want to be sure I won't go through the same thing.
After d scan, the doctor said my cervix is closed but we can take precaution by doing a cerclage next week to avoid the unnecessary issue.
The bone of contention now is that my husband isn't in of the cerclage, I know it had nothing to do with finance cos I have insurance. I have tried convincing him but he said no.
I decided to get a second opinion from another hospital, this doctor said I should go for a transvaginal scan, then we can take things from there.
My questions; are their alternatives to cerclage?
How much does a transvaginal scan cost?
I'm confused please, I'll appreciate your advice.
Sorry for d epistle.

Congratulations Ma'am but I will not advice you to do transvaginal scan@12weeks, it should be earlier. During my own early stage I was told that my cervix was not short and the cervix was closed but during the cerclage procedure my doctor told me to thank God that I embark on it, that in the process of the procedure, they discovered that my cervix reduced to 2cm@15weeks.
I used HMO for the cerclage procedure too, I did not spend any money for the procedure. I was afraid but Ma'ams on the group encouraged me to proceed since two doctors from different hospitals are saying the same thing.
My husband was not in because he said sometimes if the doctor can't handle it that in the process the water can break but trust we the wife na, we no how to talk to our husband to our idea and I put him in prayer too. He later ed the idea, he drove me to the hospital and he was outside throughout the procedure.
Ma'am, please still try and talk to him oooo.Doing the cerclage will be the best

I am seriously considering going for it without informing him, my husband can be quite stubborn especially when he has made up his mind.
I'll still try to convince him this week and also pray about it before making my decision.
One more question please, after the cerclage, will I have to abstain from sex.
