Back in those days, we were made to believe that newly bought phones should be charged for at least about 10 hours. Even after the phone become filled, we would still leave it plugged in for hours.
Many people believe the limitations of nickel-based batteries that were prevalent in the early '90s still apply to the more modern lithium ion and lithium polymer technologies we use today.
Myth: Always fully charge a device before its first use
False. To be fair, it doesn't hurt anything to fully charge a device's battery before using it. It doesn't hurt anything if you skip this step, either.
So why do manufacturers sometimes tell you to do it? Fully charging the battery before using a device is to kick-start what's known as a "calibration process," helping the device learn how that individual battery behaves. This is where I tell you that most batteries are self-calibrating, so it's still an unnecessary step.
I sell phone and have not been able to convince people whether or not you charge your battery before don't have any implications. If na original na original if na fake na fake

What happens to making phones that do not require charging?

Draining lithium batteries to zero is the fastest way to kill them.

What I know is that overcharging or charging your phone too frequently kills the battery

MODIFIED!!
For most modern devices with lithium-ion batteries, it's not necessary to fully charge them before the first use.
Why?
- *Lithium-ion batteries don't have a "memory effect"* like older nickel-based batteries, which required full discharge cycles to maintain capacity.
- *Calibration is not necessary* for lithium-ion batteries; the battery management system will calibrate itself over time.
Best Practice
- Charge your device when the battery level falls below 20%, and unplug it when it reaches 80-90% if you're not going to use it for an extended period.
- Avoid extreme charge levels (very high or very low) for prolonged periods.
Exceptions
- Some devices with nickel-based batteries (older cordless phones, etc.) might benefit from initial full charge and discharge cycles.
In summary, it's a myth that you need to fully charge a modern device before its first use.

Letmecum:
My phone battery dies at 20% after I changed for new battery.
Mine started going off at 15%, it later moved to 30%, 40%,and 60%. Each time I change the battery, it will be good for few days and get worse, the last one I changed is very good, it goes down to 0% before tripping. I was told by the engineer who changed it not to charge it till it is down to 5%, that this modern batteries, if you charge them @50%, anytime they drop to 50%, they will off. He said I can maintain plugging it when it is down to 5 or 0 % for at least, the first 10 charging.
I did this and I am enjoying the battery

Never done this Right from my first phone in 2002.
But When you look back and think of how 90% of the populace that followed such a hogwash idea (even till now) are still the same people that have become public advisors and influencers (thanks to wide use of internet), it makes you wonder the pool of people we are mixed with and the extent of mental decay that has "successfully" affected the society.
Oh yeah, I get you. Mine first was 00 and it was right in the manual. But you know people want to make contents without finding the current state of things 😃
