Who re this guy? His name is *Iruefi,* a self-proclaimed Obidient (Peter Obi's follower) who owned a popular news blog on Twitter. After Obi lost the 2023 presidential election, Iruefi began spreading fabricated stories against the country, APC, and certain personalities. Whenever people pointed out the defamatory nature of his blog posts, he'd act high and mighty, thinking he was above the law.

People were watching, and after the Supreme Court judgment affirmed Tinubu's election, Iruefi resumed his antics. This time, he crossed the line by defaming Babatunde Fashola (Baba wey no hear anything), claiming he had written the Supreme Court judgment before it was delivered. Fashola didn't take it lying low he sued Iruefi's blog. The DSS took up the case, and Iruefi fled the country.

His brother, who had access to his , was arrested, and we've heard nothing about the case since then. Iruefi claimed he wouldn't return to Nigeria, but God works in mysterious ways. Last month, he was accused of defrauding Nigerians in the UK and has been on the run ever since, even deactivating his X handle.

However, it seems he forgot about the case pending in Nigeria. Early today, he was apprehended at the airport attempting to re-enter Nigeria after fleeing in 2023.
