That market is the headquarters of second hand clothes. Oshiomhole retarred the road, it also lead to Upper Sopkonba and Sapele road. I think they should have done this in dry season so they won't over suffer in the rain. The market needs to be built and well positioned. The same with New Benin Market.

Ibadan is actually a young city o. Barely 200 years old. Like Abeokuta. Over 250 years younger than Lagos.

Ibadan was founded in 1829. One of the youngest major cities in SW.

The British already called Benin a city in 1553. The Portuguese even earlier.

Remarkably, Ibadan urbanised and grew quickly. The brown roofs mean iron sheets replaced thatch quite early, a sign of quick development. Quite remarkable growth.
