A large group of men, who claimed to have traveled from Katsina State to Lagos, were seen gathered outside the Dano office zone in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.

During interviews, they explained that they had come in search of job opportunities at the Dangote Refinery, located in Lagos State.
When one of them was asked whether he was Nigerian, he promptly answered “yes” and presented his ID card as proof.

The Dangote Refinery is Africa’s largest oil refinery and the world’s largest single-train facility. It is situated within the Lekki Free Zone in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

That may happen in isolated cases, but let’s be real, promotion in big companies like Dangote is more about experience, and competence, than just where you’re from.

So many jobless northerners constituting in Lagos, this is a security threat.
