I don't know where they're selling average sized yams for 9-10k, the ones I got about w weeks ago are 3 slender ones for 6k (2k each)

It's the time of the year when yams are scarce and expensive. By July/August, new yams will start becoming available. If you and some people can money to buy yams from the abokis that sell in heaps in mile 12 market, it makes a lot of sense.

I think insecurity contributed to the scarcity. Farming in some places is now considered hazardous.

Not "it's like". Yam is now for the elite class. I in the past when we used to have foodtech bread,eggs and oats for breakfast. Nigerian economy started getting bad and my mom said we will have to start eating yam as breakfast sometimes. See the yam now, 😂

Please how do you preserve them? The ONLY problem I have with it is that they spoil easily; like within 2 days. How do you preserve your own Please?
