God bless you. The party you are defecting from have taken you as their own. Yet, you are foolishly leaving your home where you are loved and defended to a house you are not even recognized. You're going to a house with very important persons that are more valued. They have the machinery to deny you the party ticket. Imagine that okada guy in LP from Kaduna South... There's no way he'll return! He won't even win the primary election. He has committed political suicide. Him and his likes are fools, big fools

My brother.... I wish I had half the chance they have.

The next Nigerian election will be interesting. If someone like Kwankwaso can merge with a notable personality from the South. It will not be an easy walk as usual for the incumbent.

Then again, we have the Labour force (Teachers, NASU, ASUU etc) that are known to the incumbent leader, this is why the dynamics is very predictable. As long as the Labour force keeps collecting their slavery monthly salary, they will anything, even though the economy is on a free fall.

The North needs to wake up, they are the only region that can change the dynamics of the next election. I call the Northerner the freethinkers, they vote for who they really desire, the Southerners are not freethinkers, they are slave to the system, majority are 9-5, salary earners and just give them a sense of hope that things will be better, they will you.

I believe you anyway......

But let's continue to keep our fingers crossed.

if the PDP can get its acts together , they can wrestle power from the ruling party because as it stands they are still the only political party with a national spread .
others are mere regional parties.

What's the point of having 200 of 200 vote the same? No dissenting voice? Tell me again... Is this not supposed to be democracy?

Well that's how "democracy" ends up working everywhere it's been tried. Democrats vote in block, so do Republicans. Tories all vote together, so does Labour. And since majority carries the vote, if you're minority after a while you start getting tired of being almost irrelevant

Shame on APC with all the financial inducements to lure elected officers to the party they are still below 200, I thought by now they will be counting 295

Free thinkers my ass. If Tinubu were not a Moslem who also picked a Moslem, the North would not have voted for him. That's Tinubu's master stroke - everyone was advising him to pick a Christian, to "balance the ticket", to avoid muslim-muslim

That is one of the vices which the North has, they are drawn to religion while the South is easily manipulated with false hope or their pocket.

In a sane social clime, opposition will win the next election land slide, doesn't matter if it's the conservative party or the liberal side.

APC will hit 220, at least, before the next election... But most of those who defected to APC will lose their seats; they are not returning! Especially those that defected from LP to APC

You mean those who used obidients’ hempty heads? grin
Did we not tell you that the LP was a special-purpose vehicle?😂😂
Dey there Dey dull yourself. They will come back and use your head over again

Our presidency is too powerful. It is almost impossible to remove an incumbent. Jonathan was an aberration. We copied the American powerful presidency without having all the multitude of things they have that keep the president in check.
All the powerful forces that have to agree to remove Tinubu from office are either appointed by him or dependent on him - from INEC that declares who won to Supreme Court that rules if the person truly won. Even if Tinubu decides to play fair and accept a loss (which will be out of character for him), powerful forces invested in him winning will not allow him

If he is re-elected, Nigerians will pay the price. Nigeria is currently the only country in Africa that pay a big price for the cheapest source of raw protein, "Egg". I was conversing with someone who last visited Nigeria before Covid, the contrast of our conversation shows Nigeria has changed a great deal. We were complaining back then but things were very okay. There was a time a crate of big Eggs sells for N600.

By all parameters this president should NOT be re-elected. He ought lose in a landslide. But guess what, you can be 99% sure he'd "win" even if price of eggs goes to N1m

Those who defected from PDP, most will not return. Your people know why they voted PDP over APC and others. Defecting to other parties is betrayal... We'll see at the next election!

Dave Umahi defected and Ebonyi went with him
