Nigerians have the mentality that once you owned a house. Majority of your problem has been solved. meanwhile, it is the door to another problem. A house will not maintain itself.
If you are requesting for help, never request for help to build your house. That was a big blunder the mother and this girl made. They should have made a move out of the country their priority, or set up a business with the 5 million given to them but instead they used it to complete their house project.

Not judging her, but if you ever get the rare chance to make a request from top politicians, it's always wiser to ask for something like full educational —maybe up to the PhD level.
