What did Obi say that is making government and those held under the government mental slavery go mad? That Nigeria has more poor people compared to China, India and Indonesia. In the 60s when Nigeria gained independence, it was doing better economically than these three nations. Surprisingly, i went in search of data to whether Obi lied as they claimed. I arrived at a conclusion from data from officials of Nigeria and around the world that using all means of measuring poverty, Nigeria has more poor people than China, Indonesia and India. They shifted the debated immediately that Obi is not patriotic. Patriotism to them in acting like Tinubu and pretending that there is no poverty in Nigeria, acting like they have 24 hours electricity supply, acting as though if you go into medical emergency now, you can dial 911 and a well kitted medical ambulance will be at your door steps in 5 minutes. Nigerians and their government have turned here into a grave yard but they hate people who say it as it is. 5 Likes 1 Share |

The economic data presented by Pitobi are faulty because GDP per capita is a misleading metric, especially for developing countries like Nigeria. It fails to for the local cost of living where one can survive well with just a dollar which is (N1.5K) more than in wealthier nations. It also masks income inequality, as high earnings by a small elite can distort the average, giving a false impression of widespread prosperity. Additionally, it overlooks the informal economy, which plays a massive role in everyday life and economic activity but isn't fully captured in official statistics. For real insight, analysts focus more on sectoral growth, consumer spending, trade, and employment data than this oversimplified figure. The naira’s purchasing power parity (PPP) is stronger than it appears because essential goods and services in Nigeria like food, housing, and transport are low compared with the cost in Europe America or even our neighboring African countries. Don't forget the vibrant informal sector which also adds real economic value that isn't reflected in official exchange rates. Compared to many European countries, the naira offers better value-for-money, making everyday expenses more affordable despite its weaker nominal exchange rate. 3 Likes 1 Share |

gidigbam1:A country with over 120 million people living below poverty line of about $2.7 per day is what you claim people survive with $1/#1500. Can you feed, transport, buy medication and pay your bills with #1500 per day. 2 Likes |

Sowunmi wants to abandon Atiku the same way Okowa ran to APC, what's wrong with the data Obi gave above Aren't those countries doing better than us on all front? We are always quick to blame others, sahel destabilization, Africa marginalization, Gadaffi's death, global warming etc to make excuses for our lack of foresight and corruption that is killing our nation China, Vietnam and Indonesia has challenges too, the west never gave them a chance but they succeeded against all odds We should be ashamed of ourselves! 3 Likes 1 Share |

When Peter Obi doles out these statistics, they say, 'Na Statistics we go chop?' But these data are readily available for everyone to see. As for Showumi, his criticism looks suspicious. Reno Omokri started like that until he got the attention of the APC, the ruling party. Boom! He quietly ditched Atiku and switched side.

Showunmi...! A good product can't be demarketed! ...And no amount of branding and packaging can turn excrement into Ewa Agoyin. If you guys spent more time working to better Nigerian rather than following and responding to everything Peter Obi does, Nigeria would be way better than it is today. South Africa was our junior in all ramifications... Today, they are miles ahead, and better respected abroad. Top nations didn't get there by packaging and lying about the true states of their nations... They made their nations so good that investments flowed in all over. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Imagine someone saying PO is demarketing Nigeria? Look at Nigeria what is happening. Yes, no country is perfect but what is happening in Nigeria by our leaders is demarketing already. Look at UAE where is the demarketing because the leaders have not given reason for such. Blame your principal not PO. Did he lie? If not tell you president and leaders to change
