Nnpp predicts more Pdp defections in Osun over party’s performance

The Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr Tosin Odeyemi, has said that many of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with conscience will leave the party due to their current suffering and discontent.

This prediction comes on the heels of the recent defection of Hon. Wole Oke, member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, from PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dr. Odeyemi expressed his views in a statement, where he also criticised the quality of advisers surrounding Governor Ademola Adeleke.

According to him, these advisers prioritize praising the governor over genuine development efforts. He further predicted that while some PDP would defect openly, others would stay within the party to destabilize it from within.

Where he was before actually. That is the only way he can checkmate Oyetola and get reelected. He won before with less than 20,000 votes even though people voted uptill 8pm on that election day in Owode area and Ede before he could get those votes and now he has lost the local government case and losing member of reps. He is trying to showboat with policies that are not well thought through and grounded.

He can't win re-election in PDP as it is if Oyetola is on APC ballot and he knows this well so he has place a big banner in from of the palace in oja oba to praise Tinubu for his efforts as a president for all that he is.

In South west, defection of any politician means nothing. Even Tinubu cannot influence anything. Perform then we will vote you into office again. That's how the politics is played in South west. Oke is a greedy politician who want to continue to monopolise the interest of his constituency. You still want to continue after six attempts. Is the place your father's heritage. Adeleke's performance will speak for him when the time comes.
