Apc Attracting Politicians Like A Magnet (7429 Views)
geoworldedu: 2:27pm On Apr 24 |
Poloticians in Nigeria are well established thieves and criminals, so it is not so hard to get what they will be attracted to and what not. The dimension of crime and lawlessness perpetrated by APC with impunity is something that will undoubtedly attract a fellow criminal from other parties, so it is not rocket science. This defections further strenghtens the fact that there is no hope for Nigeria. This is just the beginning of suffering. Yes, it is hard and bitter to say, but it is the truth. |

That's what our political system is best know for. Recycling dumb, vision-less and crooked politicians. Majority are just selfish and power hungry thieves. They all know that the incumbent party is 99.9% likely to win the next election. Hence reason for the massive defections.

Nigeria politicians have no shame ! It's unimaginable for a faltering government to have people queuing to them despite the obvious failure in governance. Democratic values and ethics is being eroded on daily basis by the sycophants who are pilfering in the government corridors. Power corrupt absolute power corrupt absolutely π !! Things Fall Apart ! 1 Like |

Same reason people ran to PDP years ago is the same reason people run to APC. Nigerian politicans cannot play oppositon politics, because it is hard and difficult.. Unless you are as rich and stubborn and have a cult like Buhari and tinubu, or very influential like Obasanjo, you can't do it. Also, there are consideraitons. Delta state governor ran to APC because there were too many bigwigs in APC who were making life difficult for him...so he ed the umbrella. And now Fubara of all people is running to APC. The thing is, playing oppositon politics is hard, because every Nigerian politican is feeding lots of people. If you have no access to government, you can't feed those people. That's the main issue with democracy in Africa....but then again, we will mature. Still, it in essence makes one party states inevitable. I am angry, but then what can one do. LIke I tell Nigerians, vote for a third party. But most people are either looking for a cult or just voting for their side. I tire. |

[quote author=Georgry post=135105239]I'm not sure democracy is only about politicians because they are all thieves, what about the citizens? A country that removed subsidy from everything and strip the citizens naked but only take care of politicians? Nigeria is fast becoming a failed state, the very best of us are leaving the country because there seem to be zero hope, this is also evident by the growing voter's apathy in Nigeria, in the nearest future it will be only the politicians and their families voting, I don't know why you guys are so comfortable and fixated with the status quo when other countries are lifting their citizens out of poverty daily while we grow poorer and poorer daily. [/quote and someone will cause such rubbish politics

helinues: In future you will still come and weep in which nobody will console you, keep jumping up and down like drunkard. I won't be surprised if you are still a kid during the military. I think your priorities should be ....1.If govt of the day is performing or not. 2. The direction the country is going, 3. The fate of ur children and grandchildren, even when you might have gone. You didn't think about any of this, but always jumping from one thread to another like kid who lack senses to thinking about his future, believing you trolling Igbo, Atiku or whatever. Ask married men with kids around you, they would tell you, how life is hard during Tinubu and APC general, as a Yoruba boy,how has Tinubu presidency favoured you in particular, I won't be surprised, you would be stuttering before you talk. Gradually, Nigeria is sliding to one party state and a nation governs by dictator, that is enough is to give you concern, even if you are card carrying APC member, perhaps if they are giving you kobokobo, which has already turned you to something else on faceless forum. 2 Likes |

helinues: Nothing like that, I beg to differ. It is a normal Nigerian mindset of alignment with were power is and worshipping it above anything else. Any one who wishes to consolidate power by any means will have disciples in Nigeria and it is a fact Can you for instance, imagine how much Tinubu spent to attain power, and in a society deepened by corruption, it is easy to win people to your side, same way northern politicians and oligarchs control their people with money. Secondly, you can also see that despite the deteriorating state of security in the North, especially Benue and Plateau states, a state of emergency was declared in Rivers which is a subtle power play that any government not aligning with him will be handled, systemically placing consolidation of power over good governance and what is right... Our strongly corrupt politicians especially from the south south see this and are migrating, placing personal gains over anything else . In summary, our politicians are easy to buy as long as it will favour them, and it is that simple. Doesn't matter whose a*s they lick. 1 Like |

If you were in Rivers state during the last election, you will understand what to expect in 2027 The judiciary have confirmed that they are in the pocket of Wike and the executive, so no hope for judicial remedy after election. The only option left for those seeking second term in office is to align with APC as INEC will not deliberately work against them as evident in Edo election. Its a game, they are making their moves...... still waiting for key actors to make things more interesting. |
