If I talk now Dem go ban me for saying the truth, Why would a governor receive his own salary and refuse to pay the teachers? Since I was born I have never heard any sitting president, senator or governor or house of rep complain they have not been paid , They are too evil in this country 1 Like |

Those who didn't read will just jump to conclusions. They say they have a teacher payment system which is yet to be implemented and not that the state is owing them backlogs. PS: to the mod dashing out bans and hiding posts, e dey mind. 1 Like |

Harrisonwo: How long will it take the SG to implement such payment system? Does it take this long if it's the legislative house that is seeking an increase in their pay packages and other allowances? Are we not tired to be hearing of such issues even when we think we seem to have better people as governors in their States? 2 Likes 1 Share |

But my sister is a teacher in Abia state she never made mention of owned salaries but she always showers blessings and praises on Dr Alex Otti... Infact she says her salary always drops on every 28th... Although she made mention of accreditation and screening of every teacher in Abia state some months ago that many teachers where screened out. Due to one problem or the other or some where ghost teachers.. Some have issues different name in and different name in school.. Probably those are the teachers striking.. I'm just saying my mind 3 Likes |

bixton: Alex Otti is not owing civil servants in Abia state including teachers. Those complaining are politically motivated by PDP Abia state. 1 Like |

I see this post as laughable. I am a teacher in the Abịa State school system and I must tell you that the governor is not oweing any teacher in Abịa State. Hé is clearing backlog of salaries owed by past istration. We receive our salary every 27th of every month based on the New minimum wage. The only grey area is the payment of teacher salary structure which I think would be settled soonest. Workers have never had it this rosy since the creation of Abia State

It’s good to know that it’s not that all teachers are owed salaries both only those in basics. Its a matter of time before the government start addressing those in basics, a little bit of patience and understanding is required from both parties. The truth is no other past governor or Abia state can do what Otti is doing. 1 Like |

Okay, they were paid less…not like the other governors who would not pay for 9months…I trust Alex Otti would remedy the situation, if the protest isn’t political, goodluck to the teachers for voicing out their pain. Alex Otti would come through for them, that one na sure banker, the only able government in Nigeria

Max24: Did you care to read about why they went on strike? Will not be surprised if other people take this as the norm without thinking of actually reading up on it. Any narrative is fine. Gentle reminder that we are just 2 years down. 6 years to go. |
