Work has already started on the section. Here is a tweet from 3 days ago Lord Advocate of Nigeria @OHOgunbiyi @woye1 surprised work has started at Akwa Ibom section of Lagos to Calabar Highway https://x.com/OHOgunbiyi/status/1911432237171560882?t=dCx6i0dNRx-wQaeyWcI4Jw&s=19 13 Likes 4 Shares |

Osi @osi_suave I was on the Lekki Ikoyi Link Bridge the other day and how fashola was dragged, called names, and even taken to court for that bridge. https://x.com/Osi_Suave/status/1911669280040530348?t=DpFe6enbqmWsdrnxlSzwaw&s=19 Charles Anazodo @chaplinez70 Same as the Lagos-Calabar ongoing construction. Same as the Uyo stadium. https://x.com/chaplinez70/status/1911767738147647536?t=Jbq4uGWqK50Va-YAGxPCbg&s=19 Abiodun Afolabi @afolabiodun Many allow their bias; many times, political bias to blind them. They exalt leaders of UAE for building Dubai, but cuss the Nigerian govt for Lagos-Calabar, something that will generate fortune in years to come, like the Link Bridge, like the Eko Atlantic. They call it a waste. https://x.com/afolabiodun/status/1911834580824539455?t=RMwN9e3XZ3B1oy9QpQ0Zyw&s=19 18 Likes 2 Shares |

This road project was a masterstroke by Tinubu. The opposition recognizes this fact, that’s why there was so much uproar and condemnations, especially from Mr gbajue and his people. They know that apart from the great economic significance of the project, it has the potential to tilt the balance of political alignment, and that’s the real reason why they’re in so much pains and anguish anytime progress reports about the road project hits the frontpage Kissthetruth ![]() 22 Likes 6 Shares |

To some it's a waste of resources but will glorify it to high heavens if it's been executed in a foreign state I don't have to be Tinubu er before I can appreciate a project with enormous economic potential that will be beneficial for the Nigeria coastal cities and beyond. 24 Likes 5 Shares |

IPOB terrorists issue with the project is that it is happening under TINUBU that they love to hate Also, they never hated TINUBU untill he spear headed the end to the IPOB dominated government of GEJ The hate reached the level of witchcraft to the extent that they wanted him dead before the day of inauguration when he took the turn of an IPOB Christian to become president in 2023 If BAT throw for Peter OBI or any IPOB in 2027,he will become the next best thing after OJUKWU,NNAMDI KANU,SIMON EKPA and that vomitus looking OHA SOUP 19 Likes 4 Shares |

KennethOkonkwo: Obidients hate that project for 3 reasons. 1. The fact that Tinubu is actually completing this project, against the predictions of Peter Obi, Moghalu's wife and other Igbo bigots ; 2. The fact that it is an Ebonyi man doing it and getting the glory. Igbos discriminate against Ebonyi people ; 3. The fact that it benefits the SS. They know that this project gives Tinubu massive credibility in the SS. 26 Likes 5 Shares |

Everybody had their chance. Let's evaluate them one by one: (1) One was vice president. He was also head of the economic management team. They spent $12billion to buy debt forgiveness as if we didn't have things to do with such money. They spent another $16billion on voodoo power sector reforms, including paying some contractors 100% upfront who disappeared with the funds. The privatization they spearheaded ended in controversy as assets were allegedly sold to cronies. Today, they present a messianic posture of saviour of Nigeria. (2) Another was governor. His greatest achievement was saving state money in a bank he was chairman. He didn't think of any innovative investments to plough money to. The ones he made were said to be worthless by a successor. He also claimed frugality, like personally paying for fuel, wearing one shoe for 17 years, sitting in front of his car, and eliminating the killing of one cow daily in government house. Did the state move forward during his time? Did he turn his state to the center of consumption to production? What is his state producing today? Now, he is posturing as the messiah with the solutions to everything. (3) Then there is the one who is called the devil, drug dealer, criminal, certificate forger and all. During his time, he took on bold reforms including ramping up IGR for his state, decentralizing istration by setting up local councils development areas, setting up agencies like LASAMBUS (changed emergency health response), LAMATA and LAGBUS (which changed the transportation landscape of his state), LASAA (which transformed outdoor advertising), RRS (changed security architecture), reformed LAWMA for efficient waste collection. All these he did while being opposed by the dictator at the center. The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway was mooted for more than 60 years, including a groundbreaking done by former President Buhari in 2015. But this guy came, killed the noise and got trucks to do the work despite the opposition by those who lost elections to him, including Arise News who pulled all strings to kill the project. Guess the cost of the project. $12billion! If some people had been visionary, the road would have been completed by now. Despite the opposition to his reforms, he was the only governor in his region who could not be swept by the rigging tsunami. Here was a man who could not be defeated by a sitting president in 2003. Same man stood against a sitting vice president, senate president, former mentees, party leadership...and floored all of them. He is the one some politicians are planning against as sitting president. By 2027, his projects will determine the referendum on his leadership. So far, he has done well int ha regard. Get the economy right, and some politicians will retire by 2027. So among the unifier, the messiah and the devil, who would you prefer? I prefer a competent devil to an incompetent and visionless unifer and messiah. 15 Likes 3 Shares |
