danzaki63:I think Minna is cool. Maiduguri too. Jos is also a nice place. But I think we know why people might be loth to relocate to these places at this time. Let's hope government fixes the security challenges soon. |

Ibadan indeed is a nice place to stay..,cost of living isn't way high. I absolutely recommend there. 1 Like |

The weather is hot but actually more comfortable than what we usually have in the south due to lower humidity. Maiduguri is an important commercial city, that is why there are so many banks there

Was checking if you will dare put ogun state, ogun is the worse play i ve been to infact a deep village with naked people running around is far better than ogun state. I will try to explore ibadan i have heard good things about there but you see ogun, the humans there it is like their education system is very poor because they have such a low and backward iq.

DissTroy: Leave me your bro, I'd like to know where the tech events hold. I'm of the opinion that Uyo is the most perfect place for remote workers in Nigeria and the state govt should prioritize tech. |

OriOko88: Building methods differ Western Houses are built using reinforced concrete and fired bricks design to rival natural rocks in strength and durability Nigerians use 6 and 9in blocks made with weak cement that weakens even more as the years Now you understand why a two-story building here will collapse after heavy rain in few years but a 200 year old Castle built on the bank of a river in England still stands firm 3 Likes |

If you are retiring or want a place to cool off after tasking assignment, your best place is Jos.

DeepSight: * Nature * Quiet * All the modern amenities you'd find a city * Good schools (private and public) for your kids * Affordable qualitative life I can see why anyone born or socialised into city life might not like the place, but some people do love the country life and Minna is a good place for that. I currently live in Lagos, yet every week I drive to my farm in Ogun State - it's like blood tonic, getting into the bush. Not having to drive to do that would be great. Note that Minna has an airport, so dashing to Lagos or Abuja for the weekend or shopping is a breeze. 2 Likes |

I relocated back to Jos since 2023, na inside the Plateau we dey so. It appears you have not really moved around before making this post. I schooled in Enugu, worked in Ibadan, Kaduna and Kano. I still choose Jos. I have stayed in Lagos for one month - possibly the worst month of my life and will never want to live there. I wonder why a city that brags about the fast life is so slow and largely dirty. For the record, Jos is safe and peaceful. There is no place in this world without skirmishes, pockets of crisis and uprisings here and there just as we see in Jos from time to time. But we still dey on top the Plateau inside the Jos. You could choose to anchor your view on media misinformation and disinformation about Plateau-Jos or you take your information from us that are on ground on the Plateau. Cheers and hope your post gives you what you want. iykololo: 3 Likes |

DeepSight:In a meeting of the National Conference of Geographers, yes. Here, they're just Nigerian "capital cities". |

0bjpmb: Since when did high population become a slum. Most of these places you mentioned hav housimg units similar to festac town in Lagos were both rich and poor leaf. Abakpa even has better light But you know what I find funny? The salary of the average Nigerian making minimum wage will not lost a week in a low class hotel in these places you mentioned Now imagine what the top class hotels will be like because they are right there |

🌺 Most of these places that are being mentioned have a lot of insecurity so I prefer staying in Lagos ooo🏃 |

Well for me If it's not Lagos no need. I have stayed in Abuja and Ibadan and both cities are cool but Abuja if U no really dey connected to the government or have a very high paying job U go suffer. To get updates as a normal hustling guy U go die first and I'm talking both legal and illegal. Food is cheap yes accomodation is not. The roads are super good and the lifestyle is okay but too political for me. U will just be living a basic life and U. Ibadan on the other hand is quiet but then it's not where someone who wants to attain their full potential should be. If Ur okay with just surviving and staying simple then by all means. But U see Lagos no matter how it gets U will survive by any means just be willing. U won't just survive, there's a lot of opportunities and options to make way for urself. Just stay alive and keep pushing. Leaving Lagos to another city in Naija is like living life on reverse. It's better U just move out if U must leave Lagos. Except U are retiring to somewhere close to home in old age. 2 Likes 1 Share |

1x2x3: [email protected] Please edit out the mail when you respond so I'd edit. While there's a lot of publicity for tech events in Uyo, Ikot Ekpene or Eket, your social media algorithm has to be already trained so such things turn up on your timeline. My timeline on Twitter and Facebook is decluttered to show tech, startup, and personal development posts. Top tech talents recruiters within and outside Nigeria throng into Uyo too. The viannual Google Developer Circle comes up soon so your in luck. |
