Uromi in Edo State has suffered. For years, Uromi people suffered wave after wave of herdsmen attacks, people killed and women raped. The situation got so bad that Uromi women took to the streets in 2021 and 2022 to protest incessant rape and killings by herdsmen. Their cries and protest fell on deaf ears.

Nobody cared. But as soon as 16 Northerners were killed in Uromi, people are now falling over themselves to care.

The President, Governors, politicians, celebrities, opinion leaders, have suddenly found their voice, and now that unjust killings should be condemned and tackled.

The Police have suddenly ed how to swing into action in Uromi and make arrests

And the Governor has been appeasing and appealing. The birthed leaders even are asking for the perpetrators to be paraded, as if that will return the lost ones. None of the evil men who raped and killed Uromi women has so far been shown to be arrested, not to talk of being paraded.
