I’tikaf is a beautiful Sunnah of devotion that allows the heart to disconnect from worldly distractions and immerse in pure worship. The Prophet ﷺ never abandoned I’tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan, seeking Laylat al-Qadr.

1️⃣ What is I’tikaf?
It is secluding oneself in the mosque for the sake of Allah, focusing on prayer, Quran recitation, dua, and remembrance.

2️⃣ When is the Best Time for I’tikaf?
The most rewarding time for I’tikaf is the last ten nights of Ramadan. The Prophet ﷺ used to devote himself entirely to worship during these nights.

3️⃣ The Purpose of I’tikaf
💭 Detach from distractions
🤲 Seek Laylat al-Qadr
💖 Purify the heart through worship
🌿 Recharge spiritually

4️⃣ Conditions of I’tikaf
✅ Must be performed in a mosque
✅ One must remain in the mosque, leaving only for necessities
✅ Women can also perform I’tikaf in a mosque, as practiced by the Prophet’s wives

5️⃣ What Invalidates I’tikaf?
❌ Leaving the mosque without necessity
❌ Engaging in marital relations
❌ Unnecessary worldly engagement

🔹 Engage in Taraweeh & night prayers

I could few years back, during the last 10 days of Ramadan, I was sleeping inside around 12:30am one of our neighbors son came in calling us to come and see the movement of some big shape moving in the sky in different direction among the people, it was only the boy, I and another lady that saw the movement like big three creatures flying in different direction in the sky.

It was that day that I believe that there is truly lailatul quadri, it also falls on Friday night when Ramadan was 27.

That time I was single and a virgin, the other two people that saw the creatures were also single and very young maybe that was why we were able to see them because we were wondering why others did not see them and others are married people.

100% in agreement with you. I think we have to finally agree that the Muslims are just making things up now. Any taker in that in 3 years this new day will be a public holiday in that country. I mean when does it stop?

Itikaf can only be done in 3 mosque. None is here in 9ja. Don't invalidate your fasting with bidiah. Don't contribute any money or form for itikaf

GOD has given to us in abundant everything we need to prosper and live a fulfiling and happy life here on earth. Intelligence,resources,fertile land,the ocean. etc.
Whatever we do with all he gave us is up to us. China do not worship GOD of muslim or christian,we know how advance they are now. GOD doesnt need to interfere in our affairs,its up to us to make the best use of his gift to us.
Sitting in mosque during ramadan or any other time is what GOD want in return from us. The purpose is to worship and appreciate him, not to bother him wiith prayers about establishing industries and having good leaders.
