I live in Benin, I have not seen any beggers aside Fulanis around ọba market. I am a Yoruba man, an Ekiti person, it is not in our culture to beg Christian or Muslims. If there are any Christians begging, it would be the tradition not because of being a member of a church. May be your experience and your people.

Ungodly traditions should be done away with once a person becomes a Christian this further buttress my point that you're not a Christian at all because whether the person is Hausa, Fulani or Yorùbá such traditions can't be anymore once a person has accepted Christ.

I lived in some parts of the north, I never met any Christians doing babiyah Allah in the name of Jesus. So in some parts of Yoruba land where people are giving to begging, it is part of their culture not because they are Christians or Muslims. As an Ekiti man that I am, I know you can't do that. Shame and fear of your family will not allow you.
