Every Nigerian lady will always look for a man who is powerful and has a standard in the society and a man will always look for a woman who can provide a better upbringing giving emotional and etiquettes to their children.

Unfortunately, they do. Even girls who say they do not care actually do but they probably don’t know it or to put it in simple are well intentioned. You see, the issue of caring how rich one is depends on a number of things. The reason for caring is usually what will create the difference between a good girl and a bad girl. No girl wants to get hooked with a broke man who can not afford the bare minimum. However, it would be nice for her to know that her man will be able to look after her well and also be able to give her a good life.

The reason behind her care will give you good insight into what kind of girl she is. If she wants you to be rich so that you can buy her a car, a house, take her to fancy restaurants and generally foot her lavish lifestyle, then maybe she has intentions that are not noble. If however, she wants you to be rich so that you do not have to go around breaking your back looking for money or so that you and her can be independent of asking parents for help and you can raise your children without suffering, then you are looking at the right person.

Let no one lie to you. Every girl cares how rich you are. The only difference is the reason behind the care. Oh and while still on the subject of caring, there is the old adage ‘Love does not pay the bills or put food on the table’. Think about that too.

I personally don’t find anything wrong with this approach until it becomes the only thing you look for in a partner.

It is problematic if you’re only looking at a man’s wallet and it is problematic if you’re only looking at a woman’s appearance.

Her past experiences and upbringing might influence her choices. She might be more comfortable with someone from a similar background or who understands her struggles.
