An EO is not intended to change the Constitution, it is simply an Executive decision (that the executive branch of government must comply with - including those issuing US ports), so long as it does not violate any rights. The EO was intended to bait someone with standing to file a SCOTUS suit. The lack of standing is why no one has filed a 14th Amendment suit until now. They think they will have 5 justices to overturn the Wong Art Kim decision. At that point, it's game over.

The EO does not overturn the 14th Amendment. It is intended to force a court to reinterpret the meaning of "subject to the jurisdiction thereof." There is already information indicating that the writer of the amendment did not intend it to be interpreted broadly.

That same court essentially made the president a king and agreed he could kill his political enemy and get away with it, as long as he says it was in the national interest. We all said they would not overthrow Roe v. Wade... and here we are. You vastly overestimate this court.

What you'll find is justices reverting to what the framers intended, not the most liberal interpretation of that phrase in 2024. If they went that direction, the EO likely stands. The best way to reverse the EO is to have no one challenge it for 4 years, and how a Dem wins in 2028.
