“With no disrespect to anybody, language courses
are less important to our national development than perhaps engineering or medical courses because they are more practical.

You should direct that to him. The point is you didn't read well before commenting. Typical Nigerian don't read and don't understand even if they read.
The task is simple. Mention the language courses.

Idiots studying Islamic studies also want loans. Even idiots studying Library science and Clerking

Engineering, Technical courses and Medical aligned courses are prioritised for now under lean budget and lean resources. When economy improves we will start funding Christian Religious Studying and International Relations.

Our national budget is below that of California but we want loans to study sexual positions and animal science grin
Do people get ission to do only Islamic Studies in Nigerian universities?

International Relation is more than a language course.

Whatever those two courses and their irrelevant likes are, they'll no longer be getting loans.

If you must study them, pay with your money or convert to relevant courses and apply for loans.

End of discussion.

Is Nigeria rich like the USA ?

Your national budget is even below only Texas budget.

Ok... If there's no loan for some courses.. will the government return the subsidy of education on those courses that there won't be loans for?? I.e reduce the school fees for those courses?

You are the one disgracing yourself here. Why did you quote my main comment since you are not the author and you are not ready to mention the courses that the author refers to as language courses?

You are the one that lacks comprehension here, and you can't cover it up with insults. You reminded me that the author mentioned "language courses". You did it as if my question to the author is irrelevant, or as if the author mentioning "language courses" is the answer to my question.

My task for you is simple. Mention the language courses or explain why you quoted my comment and reminded me that the author mentioned "language courses".

The Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disclosed that the free access provided by the Federal Government for all students for interest-free loans would soon be altered as certain courses are likely to be barred from taking the loan.

Please, which Nigerian university its people to study just Korean and French? Does it actually happen in Nigerian universities?

Also, try to explain to us how and why discriminating against the students doing those courses is better than mandating NUC to scrap those courses.

The idiot ebubu6 you are asking for his is a big clown. The fool has nothing upstairs so you don't expect much from him.

No, they are not. There are courses you study in the university only to realise that you cannot be employed in organisation in Nigeria.

Yes na, imagine taking a huge loan to study islamic studies, yoruba or some other not so economically viable courses while having some people in medicine and nursing that can't afford their fees

And who are you to tell which course is relevant or not? Why accredit it to be a course in the university system in Nigeria? Every sane individual in Nigeria knows that APC and everything it represents is a scam

all courses are not relevant. Take for instance someone studying Library science is not as relevant for a loan as someone studying Nuclear Physics, cancer medicine, space Physics, drug design pharmaceutics, nursing sciences, engineering.

What do you need a loan to study library science for and international relation And political science grin

We are not as rich as USA to loan every course.

Not languages, igbo language, book keeping, type writing as a degree and other outdated courses.

That actually made sense.

Instead of government paying your fees to go and study useless courses like Arabic or French language which AI wiyh jobs AI will likely do perfectly in the future,

they should divert the resources to courses that are actually useful.

As a Nigerian, you too can advise the NUC to scrap the useless courses and the useless students doing them and the useless lecturers teaching them. Even UK universities are scraping useless courses
