Governors immunity is from prosecution.

But a lot of them translate it into

Ability to bend or twist the laws.

How can you remove someone who was voted for by his people to protect their interests ?

As far as am concerned, Fagbemi remains the best attinery General of Nigeria in recent memory.. The guy has made significant moves in strengthening our democracy in recent times without making a noise about it.. You might not like Tinubu but give it to him and Fagbemi on things like this and if we continue in this trajectory we will get it right as a nation going forward.

Even though I don't APC, I give it to Fagbemi. He is a seasoned lawyer. His wealth of experience is really speaking for him. I respect him a lot and credit him for some reforms he has made since he attained office (which I know he's only doing his job).

The President cannot suspend a governor. It is only natural that a governor lacks the power to suspend a local government chairman.

Would the PDP have said this is PDP is in power at the centre and another PDP is breaching the Constitution at the State and LG level?

Under PDP led federal government, court sacked five PDP governors ( Anambra, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun and Edo) for the opposition.
PDP in their 16 years rule never benefited from any court judgement as it concerns removing a governor but are always at the receiving end. Such cannot happen under this APC even if they make a mistake of sacking an APC governor, they must balance it by sacking an opposition governor in another state example being bayelsa and Imo states.

PDP remains ahead of APC when it comes to upholding the tenets of democracy.

Judiciary functioned without intervention during PDP rule
