I chose to reply you because you sound sincere and reasonable.

But I don't think you understand Tinubu's politics very well.

The issue of Lagos APC labelling any Governorship candidate that is not of APC as Igbo person didn't start in the last Lagos state guber election.

Lagos APC did it to Jimmy Agbaje several times labeling him Omo Igbo that wants to help Igbos take over Lagos. Use Google and you will find the campaign messages all over the internet.

They even did same to Ambode when they noticed that Igbos were hailing Ambode as a good Governor that helped in building good infrastructures in Lagos, immediately they noticed Igbos were ing Ambode, they quickly discarded him.

It didn't start with Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour.

What amplified it was Tinubu losing Lagos to Peter Obi, Tinubu and his APC goons went on rampage inciting Yorubas against Igbos saying Igbos call Lagos a no man's land as if that slogan started in 2023.

It was a former Lagos state Governor Lateef Jakande of Yoruba origin that started that statement of Lagos is a no man's land that everybody should feel at home which Igbos have been using funly for decades until last year that Tinubu's APC goons decided to capitalize on it to incite Yorubas against Igbos because they felt if APC lose Lagos to LP, that it was not going to be easy for Tinubu as President, so they became desperate and went overboard.

Igbos and Yorubas hardly voted along same pattern for decades, even when the contest was between two Yorubas, Igbos voted Obasanjo while Yorubas went for Olu Falae.

The only time Igbos and Yorubas voted same pattern was Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 elections.

So you cannot exonerate Tinubu as a sectional tribal leader, he is leading the Yorubas of our time astray, but only time will make you people realize the harm Tinubu is doing to the entire Yorubas. It will look all good now, but over time, you guys will realize the harm.

Tinubu is trying too hard to outshine Obasanjo among Yorubas and to make you Yorubas see him as a better Awolowo, and in the process he is going overboard and leading Yorubas astray with bad precedents he has been setting which others will definitely reference on when the time comes.

So it's all about Tinubu and his tribalistic and divisive type of politics nothing more
Thank you for your logical submission. From your tone it's as if your people hate Tinubu. Tinubu is nowhere trying to outshine Obasanjo rather it was Obasanjo who has been trying to intimidate Yoruba leaders.

You can't rewrite our history. There is a reason why Yorubas voted for Falae instead of Obasanjo. Anybody that doesn't align with Awo's ideology in Yoruba land will not be celebrated in Yoruba land irrespective of his alignment with other tribes. Obasanjo personally knows he isn't well like by majority of the Yorubas. In 2003 election; he betrayed the Yorubas. He went to Afenifere and told them to him for second term. When he saw how massively SW voted for Falae during his first stint. He made a promise that he will talk to PDP in SW not to to file candidates for gubernatorial post and if they do they won't campaign much and that AD will win SW states and for that reason they ed him. Lo and behold, Obasanjo betrayed SW and PDP were just clearing states in Nigeria. Fortunately, Tinubu being a wise man didn't fall for Obasanjo antics. He was reelected.

You accused Tinubu of being a sectional leader but in my previous post I made mentioned where Tinubu appointed ibos and other tribes in his cabinets. He didn't interfere in elections where the ibos vied for one post or the other in Lagos. How can a sectional leader appoints other tribes in his cabinet? Go to Alausas and see the number of ibos working there. Recently, an ibo lady who work for the Lagos state rail was even among those ibos rooting for Gbadebo. Lagos state didn't sack her despite the calls from Yorubas. Can someone try such nonsense with the ibos in their own land? Ordinary Bianca contested for senatorial in Anambra, she was reminded that she is not from Anambra. When Obi held sway as the goveror of his state; he asked those who are not indigenes of Anambra not to apply for some vacant jobs and he also deported some non indigenes also; you can Google for these facts. And this particular scenario has never happened in Lagos state and if you think otherwise you can post it here.

And to my last question, you are yet to answer it. How will you feel?

1. The north and the north central attack each other with weapons. Fulani and their activities in the north central states.

2. The core north is almost homogeneous. The South is not.

Honestly the last election caused a lot of damage to the relationship between the yorubas and the igbos. Before now, the yorubas do not care if igbo man is Eze in Lagos, or masquerade of nnewi coming to Lagos or igbos appointed commissioners all of a sudden the yorubas are now becoming hostile to anything igbo. I would say the igbos are the architect of whatever the yorubas of Lagos are dishing out to them right now.
For peace to reign, let everyone stay in their regions and perform traditional masquerade dance as they like. It is excesses taking the gods of a region to a different region. The gods of the second region will be angry.
Before we start having sango/ogún fighting with amadioha
The igbos took the meekness and generosity for granted. How will you want to dictate to someone in his place. What igbos do on daily basis, they can't take a quarter of it in their land. The are too proud and lousy. Just small money, you will see the way they behave. Maybe due to poverty that they witness in childhood is the reason. Look at Obi statement even when there are Yorubas who voted for him last year. What a senseless talk by him. Most biggest churches in Nigeria today has Yoruba as founder. Obi will struggle to get votes again in south west. Igbos deserves what they are getting from the Yorubas.

I don't know about other families, but I wasn't brought up to hate igbos, neither was there a time when any of my parents sat us down to tell us igbos are this and that.
I grew up with Igbo people. At least, I interacted with them in church and in school. I traveled to Igbo land with family friends and my Rev father when I was much younger, and my parents didn't any problems with it.
Whatever anti-Yoruba sentiments the young Igbo generation might have now stems from what their parents tell them about the civil war. It's not our fault they decided to go go to war. Calling us cowards, back stabbers because of the fallouts will be met with equal energy.

Good robust defence.

For post independence generations, Awo and Zik adherents on both sides of the divide disliked each other.

The post Biafra war generations not so much.

Until Obidients brought their wàhálà to reopen the distrust, we were all getting along OK (IPOB miscreants being the dishonorable exception but those ones will cause a riot in solitary confinement anyway).

As a honest Anambra man, I must confess, that even nursing the thought of bringing masquerade from far away Anambra State to Lagos is a clear indication that Igbos are going beyond thier boundaries... Even yorubas from Osun or Oyo State don't do that, let's stop doing things that will make others persecute us even in our bussinesses. The concept of Authority is a strict concept that must be taken into cognizance if we all want to be at peace with everyone. Thanks.

Thank you very much.

Why is no one talking about the masquerade's means of transportation to Lagos? The fact that that it'll have to board a vehicle or be flown in the air is funny.
