Hon. Jim Okolo Appears As Special Guest At Italian Cuisine Week As Ambassador, Others Celebrate Presence

The MD/CEO Jimez Petroleum Resources Limited, Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie has participated in the ongoing Week of the Italian Cuisine organised by the Italian embassy in Abuja.

The event celebrates the rich culture of the Italian people as represented in their array of local cuisines.

At a dinner on Friday at the embassy, Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie applauded how countries across the world are projecting their culture before the global scenes, which he said brings about cultural cross-fertilization that gradually makes the world a global village.

He also commended the enhanced relationship between Nigeria and Italy which he said has improved significantly in recent years, leading to an increase in the trade volume between both countries.

The Italian Ambassador to Nigeria Dr. Stefano De Leo applauded the warm reception the Nigerian people are known for, saying he has enjoyed his stay since deployment.

He lauded Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie for his interest in advancement of democracy in Africa and across the globe.

The event attracted the presence of diplomats from various countries of the world.

Earlier in the week, Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie was also a special guest at an event to mark the independence anniversary of Algeria at in Abuja.

Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie is a UN accredited election observer who has toured various countries of the world helping to develop confidence in electoral system.

Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie is well known in both social, political and humanitarian cycle. He is a renowned philanthropist who has made immense contributions in community development and offering to less privileged of the society.

A political leader and business mogul, he plays in the country's oil and gas industry and wields over a decade experience.

Not long ago, he bagged the prestigious honour of Democracy Advocate of the Year in recognition of his numerous contributions towards strengthening civilian rule.

The award was conferred on him by renowned media organization, Igbere TV the organisers of Leadership Excellence (LEEX) Award and endorsed by African Union.
