You mean “expatriate”?
Kid, I’m not in that mood now
Bye

I don't know why Anambra people are so tribalistic especially to Ebonyin people.

You guys will be worse than the Hausa/fulani you accuse of when you finally get Biafra, that's if it will happen.

He's entire story line does not make any sense .

Especially the part where he said the robbers were discharged by the court even after he said they had confessed to the police to committing the crime and exonerated him.

Which judge will then discharge the ones who confessed and then have him sentenced to death for armed robbery?

The guy never talk true.

According to vdm, who visited him in prison, the case is more complex. Vdm said he told him after they caught the robbers, the prosecuting lawyer came to meet him in prison and told him they only way they could help him was if he denied ever knowing the robbers in front of the judge which he agreed to do. So when they got to court they asked him 'do you know these guys' and he said he didn't know them. That's allegedly by the way. If this is true then he has really implicated himself. But death sentence? That is harsh since there was no report of anyone dying from the robbery.

Lets say he is guilty....Is sentencing the guy to death the right judgement?? Did anyone die during the operation.

The keyword is armed, once they have weapons, death is the penalty

This is truly a life-or-death situation, so I urge anyone with the ability to assist this imprisoned man to step forward and help. Let this also serve as a stark reminder - we must always be vigilant about the company we keep.

He lost me at the point where he said that the alleged armed robbers from the South-East were set free. That's strange. It's good to appeal the case to test the judgment. This has nothing to do with his being Igbo. He has itted to having a relationship with the alleged armed robbers. That's serious. I pray he gets justice.
Were people killed during the operation? That could be a missing part of his too.

Is it now you know that they hate each other more than they hate others ?

This is a very poor reporting by Sahara. Why do they think they need to push the story without confirming or even clarifying things with person first. What is the urgency?

The dude said he had no lawyer but was appearing in court. How is that possible? Lagos state has Public Defenders Office.

So if a part of the story seems fishy, the whole story will surely stink.

We're handling his case and I've reached out to Ebonyi Commissioner for Justice Dr. Ben Uruchi Odoh in Ochudo City.

We're assembling a team of expat lawyers and reaching out to Lagos state Government for State pardon.

Thank you

I still believe OGOCHUKWU is innocent of the CRIME........ MERCY LORD sad
blackboy(m): 8:44pm On Nov 16, 2024
It's hard to believe you are innocent but I would advise you appeal . Did anyone of the culprits say you have no part in the robbery?

It appears complicated. The story needs to be properly reviewed. How close were you to your friend who helped you to find job?How much do you know him before following him to Lagos? I pray that God helps you out.
Why must he be sentenced to death for Arm Robbery
GloriousGbola: 8:46pm On Nov 16, 2024
This is Nigeria so we may never know the true story

He may be a victim in a long game setup - however he may also have been an active participant.

All theses drivers and housemaids caught killing their bosses have denied with even more vehemence than this.

Unfortunately if you don't have the money for a high powered lawyer you are oyo

The case should be revisited. Miscarriage of justice is the highest injustice anywhere in the world.

As for those who would call Nigeria for something like this, it happens even in America, too.

You mean there is ever a case in Nigeria where 5 people were caught and 4 said the fifth guy was innocent and the Judged freed the 4 and sentenced the fifth to death by hanging? Please send me a link make I read am. Just curious.

The fact that he went back to explain to the employer could interpret two things.....

1. His conscience couldn't let him deal with his masters or it wasn't part of what they planned initially.

2. His innocent and has a good heart.

But I believe he must have known his friend and what he does... Probably he was a criminal back home and relocated to Lagos.
If he was part of the gang he wouldn't have gone back unless say he no Sabi work

I first saw this news on vdm page, they said the court gave him a government lawyer, I think they are lawyer for those that can't afford one.

Whatever the case maybe, why sentence someone to death for a crime where no life was lost and all the stolen items recovered?

The world is a cruel place! This is more reasons I should stay away from "friends" and jobs. I know I hate myself but this is not the way I want to die, I rather die fighting for a new country. This is so painful especially if you can relate.
